  2. So can we be hyped for 1.2 on console on the 11th or is that hype train reserved for PC only? The trailer and the devnotes certainly didn't say PC only. There has been all this talk about how KSP on consoles is actually not a different game, which is why there is no KSP console subforum except for this one, which is regarding technical support. Well, I tried to ask about 1.2 on consoles in the "official 1.2 release" thread and then saw the official teaser, and the mods there didn't seem to think my question about 1.2 on console was worthy of any respect or consideration. @Vanamonde is acting as if this has already been answered, which it hasn't, or that it is just beneath his and others regard. Nothing new I guess. Flying Tiger has no presence on these forums, and Squad is all but ignoring the issue. One of two things is happening: Either Flying Tiger has been secretly working on porting 1.2 to consoles hoping that it might help solve some of the issues, and they actually plan on releasing that soon, instead of continuing to work on an older version. Or, most likely, Flying Tiger hasn't even started porting 1.2 to consoles because they are still trying to fix the broken mess that they and Squad put out at release three months ago. It took them a year to port that broken version to consoles, so we should expect to see a broken release of 1.2 on consoles in about a year I guess.
  3. I was actually looking for a word from Squad about a release date or window for 1.2 on consoles. I never did get an answer, so I am not sure why you linked to a post where you are explaining what you think is happening, as you understand it. As I understand it, giving release dates for one platform and not others when the game is out on multiple platforms isn't typical behavior. Not only did you not answer my question about a release date or window for 1.2 on console, but you are acting as if I am out of line somehow by asking if I will be able to play 1.2 on the 11th in a thread about "1.2 loud and clear official teaser" and "release date." Because this teaser and the devnotes didn't mention anything about a PC only release, I believe I am not out of line in asking if 1.2 is coming out on consoles on the 11th. Not sure why this is such a difficult question, and it is being met with such disregard.
  4. So is this releasing on consoles on the 11th as well? All it says is "releasing October 11th." It doesn't say PC only, or consoles at a later date, or mention anything of that sort. Since there is no mention of 1.2 being delayed on consoles, I will just assume that we will be seeing this update on the 11th as well. If this isn't the case, then Squad needs to officially reply on this subject because a lot of console customers are going to be pretty disappointed on the 11th, again, when we don't get the 1.2 update and realize that Squad is continually ignoring their console customers. When you have a game on multiple platforms, and you are going to release an official update on one platform and not others, then not only do you need to let us know that, you need to tell your console customers when they will be seeing the update that is releasing on the 11th on PC.
  5. There is nothing in the dev notes that talks about a PC only release on the 11th. I guess that is assumed but I was just asking a simple question which I have the right to ask without getting belittled. I cannot even understand why someone who didn't own KSP on console would get so mad about me asking a question about the 1.2 release on console. Is this not the place to ask that? Getting a patch a little later than PC users is expected, but when it is expected is about a week. What is not expected is buying a broken game, getting ignored by the devs, getting talked down to in these forums, and then being told, "this is just how things are around here." I just bought Everspace when it came out about 2 weeks ago. I heard that a patch came out on PC, so I went to the forums asking the devs when we should expect to see that patch on console. The devs replied in a couple hours that it will be out ASAP. It was out within 2 days of the PC patch. Two days. Also, I was not informed of any 'disadvantages' when I bought the game on console. Like I said, console customers should not have to continually pay for mistakes that we didn't make.

  7. I don't think Squad has officially said anything about 1.2 on console. And FTE is currently knee deep in fixing the mess they put out at launch 3 months ago. Nobody made Squad hire FTE. Us console customers shouldn't have to continually pay for that mistake. I bought KSP, not KSP lite, or diet KSP. Nor did I buy the game in early access. So when they talk about official releases of major patches to the game, why should I not expect to get the same thing that PC players get, or at the very least a date or a window for when we will get said patch?
  8. So, can we expect 1.2 to release on consoles on the 11th as well? Or did the devs just forget that KSP on consoles is actually a thing now? When you are talking about release dates and you have a game on multiple platforms, you need to be specific about what platforms are getting 1.2 on the 11th. If Xbox One and PS4 are not getting 1.2 on the 11th, it would have been nice for you to let us know maybe when we could be expecting that, considering we paid full price for your game, and shouldn't be treated any differently than your other customers.
  9. It's not just saves getting wiped either. I am currently running into a lot more issues on Xbox One, post patch. Just ran into a bug that won't let you save or go to the space center. Ran into a bug yesterday that basically wouldn't let me use the tracking station to warp time so I just had to do something else. Ran into a bug where my space station that took days to build just split in half without letting me revert to a save before that happened. The game is broken. Squad should really issue refunds. I don't think they have the competency or the will to fix this.
  10. Ugh. Just ran into a game breaking bug that won't let me save on Xbox One, post patch. Had just completed a contract to put a 20 kerbal station into orbit around the mun, and it wouldn't let me save or go to the space center. It said it was autosaving, but when I tried to load the persistent save, it just loaded me back to my quicksave, which was on the launchpad. Not sure what is happening but I am pretty disappointed. I am going to stop playing any more until they actually get the game working. Nothing is worse than losing a couple hours of work. Squad should really issue refunds at this point. What a shame. Back to waiting for a fix I guess.
  11. Just had this happen to me as well. It happened after time warping in the tracking station.
  12. Anyone else experience a bug where they can't click on anything or exit out of the tracking station? I am on Xbox One.

  14. Well that actually worked. Thanks. Weird because the craft itself was actually lighter than some of the other crafts that were sliding. Kerbal physics.
  15. I have been quite busy testing it myself, and have not experienced any save issues. I am still deleting debris and unused craft and satellites though, just in the hope that the game might run better.
  16. I will try out the heavier landing gear, Thanks. I usually use the lighter ones(LT-1) because they weigh less but have the same crash tolerance. It hasn't really hurt my game to be gliding around, but it is still annoying and just looks weird. Not even deploying an excavator drill will keep it stationary. It is even happening on planets with an atmosphere and gravity. It happens on Kerbin. I hope this has been fixed in 1.2.
  17. Can't seem to remain stationary when landed on a surface. I am pretty sure this is a known issue, but does anyone know if this has been fixed in 1.2? It's pretty annoying.
  18. No problems so far. I would say go for it. At least as far as I am concerned, it seems that they have fixed the game breaking save issue on Xbox One. I started a new career, have some probes out and a couple vessels on the Mun and Minmus collecting science with no real issues, other than ones that are already known and not game breaking. I mean really, losing hours of progress was the real game breaker for me. It stopped me from progressing and so I quit playing. After the patch, I started a new career and am actually enjoying the game again. It seems so much easier this time around having learned so much and made so many mistakes the first time. Now that the game is actually playable, I will be playing again regularly. I can't help but feel bad for the PS4 users though. They are still waiting, knowing that Xbox and most PC users are able to play KSP. Hopefully the PS4 patch comes soon so we can get hyped about 1.2.
  19. I am confused about these comments as well. There seems to be a lot of people saying they are having the same problems, but I don't know if they are just upset because their old corrupted save got deleted and they have to start a new save, or if they are actually experiencing corrupted saves on new games post patch. I have started a new career and not encountered any corrupt save issues so far.
  20. Yes it is. The only thing they fixed was the corrupted save issue. No need to put a bullet point behind that, but he did even highlight that in bold. I have not noticed anything different, except now the game won't allow you to save within 10 seconds of your latest save, or even an autosave. So maybe the issue had something to do with compulsive savers like myself.
  21. Are you saying that there is a problem with the patch that was released today? Did you start a new game or continue an older save? I just deleted all my saved data (for the third time now) and started a new career. Your older save is probably corrupt which is why it was deleted. It is a bummer to start all over again, but at least we can go into it this time with a little more confidence it will be better. Now if they could just get the PS4 version working. Then they could start work on fixing the other issues with the console version, like maneuver nodes, SAS, staging getting reset, etc. And finally, maybe then we can actually get some news about 1.2 on console. I really hope FT gets this sorted out soon.
  22. I just deleted my saved game data to be sure. Is there a certain way that we should be saving the game from here on out? Excited to play KSP again tonight. Thanks for the patch guys.
