  1. Glad you solved it, it would be interesting to see if and what corrupts that file for those who know these things. But in the end just make sure you always have a recent backup in case a mod or an edit manages to actually break these robust files.
  2. When in Main Menu or in Tracking Station, if i set a Frame limit, my pc goes to overdrive and sounds like its really getting pushed to its limit. On Default everything works fine. Isn't frame limit supposed to help limit the resources needed?
  3. Compared to the rest of the game, when i splash down feels like the volume is going way up. Anyone else noticed?
  4. I read somewhere if you switch to docking mode it fixes that, is it correct? I have to try it.

  6. I am a bit confused.First of all, the backup is two folders, gamedata(that has the mods) and saves(that has the careers), except if you edited more files. Secondly if you want to have two separate versions installed in your pc, maybe try having the 1.3.1 outside steam to avoid any problems with the dlc. So revert to 1.3.1 in steam, copy everything somewhere else, then select in steam the version you want. Edit: Hmm you might have to uncheck the dlc when you select Kerbal in steam library, in case it installs even with 1.3 and causes problems? Not sure.
  7. Its not like that, maybe a bug? It works fine here, do you have any mods?Are you switching btw Surface and Orbit mode by accident?
  8. I remember once i downloaded a specific mod but the author had made the download a ''mod pack'' and i installed more than i was going for. Maybe that happened.
  9. When you go in Steam Library and select Kerbal is there a check in the ''Acquired'' Making history Expansion DLC?(If you have bought it). Right-click the game in Steam Library, go to properties, beta tab and select like 1.4.1 or 1.4.2 then let the download complete. See if the game starts now. After that go again in beta and select Opt Out of All betas. See if that fixes anything.
  10. Check inside gamedata folder, do you have the stock/original folders? Did you see if everything was deleted after uninstall?You might need to delete some things manually. Also try downloading and putting the correct module manager, it might help. Edit: Which version you running?Try changing between current version and beta ones, see if it ''wakes'' up. Then you change to the version you want.
  11. Maybe you deleted some essential files as well? Try a verify files or a complete uninstall/install.
  12. Hold shift while clicking on moving arrows on windows as well.
  13. Ahhh nice, i didn't think that. Also i am curious to test the EVA again with a bigger fairing.
  14. I dont want to be rude just i never said they were in the same plane.I said i want to avoid that and match their planes when i am making planetary transfers, if there is a simple way to know how to make the insertion burn correctly every time.
  15. You really broke my spirit man hehe. My brain hurts, i ll try what you said in your first post but i wonder, if i make the insertion burn right from the start to match the direction of my desire what keeps me from having the wrong direction by the time i am doing the circularization burn.
  16. Kraken tech is not stock propeller, its an exploitation, that is not stock, its like modding ingame. Stock will always work, will never break, will never have magical arms holding it together and it will never achieve unrealistic thrust/lift. I agree that is fun and pushes creativity to the edge, especially since we dont have the stock parts to do all the stuff the engine can handle. But its not stock and its not something that can replace the need for such parts in Kerbal.
  17. I did some quick testing.It happened the first time to me as well. Hmm, did it still do it after you saved/loaded the game, replaced it or launched another aircraft with the same intake? It looks it might have a really old version of the intake and after saving/loading it overwrites itself with the new correct version. It was just a visual bug, the airspeed/drag/lift is the same in all runways. Like maybe this old version of this part couldnt understand where it spawned.
  18. Hmm, you made me think a way, maybe. Maybe if i decide for Mun for example to always enter its sphere of influence from the north ''pole'', then the direction of my vessels will always be the same. Right? About the other part, i know that they will be in the same spot, what i am wondering is if after many many years, they will have the same direction if one orbit is slower than the other. Which sounds crazy but i dont know why i bugged out in that.
  19. So i was trying to figure out a simple way to have my polar orbits/transfers to other planets in the same plane. Example: To avoid this https://imgur.com/a/BwI2Vh2 My brain literally broke down and if that wasn't enough, i wondered if the green vessel with the slower orbit will ever match the plane of the red one. I am maybe thinking they will? but i cant figure it out. Sorry if this has been asked before but i am kinda bummed out that i hit this wall and i am out of energy to search for it, although i hope there are some simple things you can do to ensure they are in the same plane and i am just overthinking and missing the obvious.
  20. First of all nice design, i dig it . Whats your ascent profile?, Try this: 1)Take off and pitch up about 10-20 degrees 2)Have your Rapier engines to Manual Switch 3)Switch to rocket Mode when you are at 23-25k altitude. After that wait until you run out of fuel and mark down your speed/altitude/apoapsis/periapsis. If you can post them here, it will help. Also take a note which and by how much of a difference runs out first, oxidizer or liquid fuel.

If you have the new parts you could hide it with an upside down engine plate, and when you decide you need the klaw you deploy the engine plate example: https://imgur.com/a/bn2BrJq It should work and its just one of the many designs, there maybe another way to do it but thats what i can think right now.
  22. Thats a good question, i though you cant EVA if you are inside a fairing, mod maybe? Did you try placing the seats inside or under something then clipping them straight up to the fairing(hold shift when you move a part for far distances)? Not sure if it will work.
