  1. I don’t believe IIIM used a transtage? However, the MOL test article (launched on Titan IIIC) did have a transtage. I believe with the latest MOL/Gemini parts, a Titan IIIM is balanced for putting MOL in a decent polar orbit in JNSQ.
  2. Currently there is a green delta/thor engine fairing, just not the same type of skirt as delta 2. This can be used as a substitute until a green delta 2 skirt gets made.
  3. Haven't posted to the forums in a while, but not sure if anyone posted pics of it yet. There are Delta IV color variants now! 4m DCSS/5m DCSS/Delta IV come in white and blue now. Here's some pics: Finally a true (blue) Delta IV is possible.
  4. New white painted variant of the DCSS coming soon to the dev branch (a historically accurate variant used on Delta IV Medium) as seen here:
  5. I think you’re problem lies with textures unlimited, maybe try updating the version? Anyways, sorry for the lack of updates about the new Gemini retextures. They’re going smoothly and will be ready for release relatively soon. I also got a little side tracked and started working on new probe variants! The foil technique is based off of Nertea’s used in Near Future Exploration. I plan on doing OGO, OSO, and OAO for now as those cores seem to be the best suited for foil. Let me know what y’all think!
  6. I did consider this at some point, but I worry it might be too much of a modification for now. The file size is starting to bloat with these mod because of the massive textures, (two 4K textures for the shuttle), every successive texture is taxing. I would also have to include a normal map for both textures if I am doing tile switches, doubling the amount of files I would need, therefore I will probably not do a tile switch for the cockpit and etc, at least for now. However, I have been working on a rudder switch for Columbia that will include more tiles and the SILTS pod, if that makes you feel better!
  7. Free? I downloaded the font for free to use with photoshop, and it worked fine. Love your custom names! Also, if there are any popular name proposals that anyone knows weren’t included in SOCK, I have free slots for it.
  8. Funny you should mention that! While I do not have any modeling experience, I am getting awesome assistance from people who do, so stay tuned.
  9. The shuttle name plates are what they are in real life(if I’m correct), which is Helvetica/Helvetica Bold. It looks like that shuttle (aside from decals) is identical to the normal shuttle. Adding decals to a shuttle is a separate process then adding a new skin, as decals live on separate texture files and are activated as switches on the cockpit and wings, as directly combing it to a shuttle texture would require a whole new file for every decal, which would be quite inefficient as the shuttle textures are large textures. Unfortunately, there are no switches on the shuttle’s cargo bay or rudder, which would make that shuttle’s decals impossible to add directly through this mod. Even the nameplate would not be possible, as the nameplate for the shuttle is usually on the cockpit, not on the cargo bay like that picture. However, it is still possible to make something like that! I recommend checking out Conformal Decals as it allows you to make decals from flags, or make your own decals that can wrap around a part, even one that would move like the cargo bay. I even used that for some of the above screenshots.
  10. Thanks for mentioning it! I finally got the time to make a forum post about it so here it is: In case anyone downloaded it before this was posted, I made a couple of fixes to the one just posted on spacedock. Thanks for all your help making these @benjee10!
  11. SHUTTLE ORBITER CONSTRUCTION KIT RECOLORED This mod adds three different paint schemes and a few decals to @benjee10's Space Shuttle from his mod Shuttle Orbiter Construction Kit(SOCK). This mod says 1.9, but it should work in any KSP version as long as SOCK and it's dependencies are installed. So far, I've only added three paint variants, but this may change in the future. Feel free to suggest alternate color schemes (please include pictures when doing so) and I will be happy to consider them, but just note I will be resistant to add too many, as the shuttle textures are very large. Additionally, these paint schemes are limited to textures (no mesh changes) and I will be unlikely to consider color schemes that require me to extensively alter TPS tile/AFRSI blanket placement (i.e. I will probably not do a Buran variant, sorry). PAINT VARIANTS: -Columbia -Includes Columbia's tiled rudder -STS 9+ Columbia rudder w/ SILTS pod -Columbia delta wing with black tiles in the front and black thermal tiles on the aft section -Challenger -Black thermal tiles on aft delta wing, also used on Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour until 1997 -Enterprise -Based on the real life design of Shuttle Enterprise -Revised TPS tiles on cockpit and aft section -Shuttle windows are now surrounded by white tiles -SOCK already comes with the Shuttle Enterprise name plate -Moonraker -Based on Shuttle Moonraker from the 1979 James Bond movie Moonraker -Features its iconic orange stripe that spans the shuttle's delta wings, aft section, rudder, and cargo bay -Revised TPS tiles on cockpit and aft section -Shuttle windows now surrounded more black TPS tiles -Includes Moonraker name plate and various decals (like the Drax Enterprise Corporation Logo and the Moonraker shuttle numbers from the movie) -Chrayol -Based on @DylanSemrau's Chrayol Design Organization's PSLV color scheme -TPS tiles (white and black) are now Chrayol red -Alters practically every external shuttle part including the cockpit, cargo bay, aft section, delta wings, rudder, body flap, and elevons (Screenshots featuring reDIRECT, HabTech 2, Modular Launch Pads, Bluedog Design Bureau, KNES, Near Future Exploration, and Conformal Decals) Credit to @Jay The Amazing Toaster: DOWNLOADS: SPACEDOCK GITHUB Dependencies: This mod is dependent on SOCK, and therefore is also dependent on its dependencies (which are bundled with the mod) B9PartSwitch, PlumeParty, Benjee10 Shared Assets, and HabTech Robotics. While the mods reDIRECT and HabTech 2 are NOT dependent, I HIGHLY recommend them, as reDIRECT includes the shuttle's external orange tank and boosters, while HabTech 2 includes ISS station parts which your shuttle can launch.
  12. Oh no! OAO 1 has lost communications with ground control only two weeks after being deployed! Send in the recently designed Gemini Interceptor on a Titan IIIC! Approach the OAO and deploy the micro Klaw! We have made contact! Send out Bill on an EVA to fix the satellite! And Bill has done it. The OAO is saved!
  13. I recall experiencing a similar problem quite a long time ago with shiny parts from other mods. I think the problem for me was that my textures unlimited was either installed incorrectly or out of date. Maybe try a clean install of TU? As for the next part of your question, I am not sure. Maybe with the fat atlas parts, but I don't know about Centaur G. I think Cobalt is planning to do a Centaur revamp sooner or later, so it may be best to wait till then.
  14. Sneak peak for BDB Recolored: Cobalt has finished the main Gemini capsule's texture sheet, which means that we can start making variants! Normal BDB will already include variants like a white Gemini, boilerplate, white stripe, and TTV. Here's what I've made so far for BDB recolored: From left to right: Army/Green Gemini, Blue Gemini, and a white/teal Gemini based very, very loosely on a training/test capsule. And just a note on any Gemini stuff that will be made in the near future: Cobalt's new Gemini is still a WIP, so some things may get broken. These texture variants require the newer developer releases of BDB.
  15. I got something pretty cool for everyone. One of the planned proposals for Gemini was to have it be able to land on a runway with a rogallo wing. To investigate the feasibility of this idea, NASA created two Tow Test Vehicles (TTV). The TTV's were towed via helicopter and dropped to see if they could land with the paraglider. Unfortunately, due to budgetary and time constraints, the rogallo wing was cut from the program. Here is a picture of TTV-2: I thought it would be a cool idea to make a variant based on the TTV. While the capsule as a whole has a red/white checkboard design, which is not possible to replicate due to the UV of the capsule. I could at least approximate its overall design. Here is some images of what I came up with: (Full gallery for my test flight is here: https://imgur.com/gallery/v47q8w9, and the paraglider shown is from the mod KNES) I think one of my favorite parts of the design are the decals on the sides. I really like all the little triangles! I also chose the number 8 because it is mirrored on the other side, so it's the only number that didn't appear backwards on the mirrored side . I think the variant turned out pretty well overall!
  16. I've never encountered that error, but I am pretty sure "alumina" is from the KSP Interstellar Extended mod. It might have something to do with that?
  17. Couple of new paint schemes for the Titan III! Here is the schemes for the Titan IIID and IIIE respectively: The Titan IIID is based on the Titan 23D that launched Kennen 1-5, and the IIIE is based on the Titan 23E-Centaur that launched Viking 2. As seen above, to get the proper color schemes, use the IIID lower tank and the IIIC upper tank for the IIID first stage, and use the IIIB lower tank and IIIE upper tank for the IIIE upper stage.
  18. Speaking of boat tail variants... I made a few variants for the earlier thor/delta boattail. This is the type that was used on the earliest Thor/Delta rockets and on certain Delta II rockets up until the early 1990's where they changed to the "Delta" type engine fairing. This is in the same style that I made the cream boat tail, which (if I am correct) is how they were painted IRL. Because the verniers were on the same texture sheet, I thought that they may as well not go to waste, so I also made color variants for the verniers. Technically, only white verniers were used on this earlier type of boat tail, regardless if the boat tail was painted blue or tan. It was only on the later Delta II fairing were they painted blue, and with these variants you should be able to create the Delta II engine fairing correctly with the blue variant. These changes will soon be up on Github. Also @sslaptnhablhat, Cobalt said that he was going to work on texture switches for the Delta II boat tail, but for now you should be able to create the green Delta III with the old boattail as soon as this goes up on github.
  19. Apologizes for the lack of scatterer and EVE in these screenshots (I am on my test save), but there's a new cream variant for the thor/delta parts now on github! This is actually a historical variant (Delta 1910), but the variant also works on thor/delta parts beyond just Delta II parts (like Ablestar, TAID, the Delta III adapter tank, and some of the structural adapter parts).
  20. It's supposed to be a stylistic choice. To make it seem less close to the "real" world, I guess. in form looks similar, yet different when compared to X. It's probably just a reference to how BDB has many of the text on the side of spacecraft have English words with Cyrillic letters.
