Premade Wings saving only base part

For some reason when I drag and drop a pre-made wing into the box to save it, it now is only saving the base part and not the attached pieces, which makes the feature effectively useless. Anyone have any ideas what's causing it?

What "box" are you dragging it into? The subassembly box?

Is this in 1.0.5 or 1.1?

Edit: I just tried it in 1.1 and was able to retrieve a 3-piece wing part from a saved subassembly in the SPH.

I was using the pre-fabricated wings drop box. It apparently doesn't work quite the same as the sub-assembly dropbox.

I didn't even know there was such a box. In fact I still don't. Where is it in the editor?

It's on the left, it's down at the bottom below sub assemblies.

Hi @Maelstrom Vortex, those are the custom parts categories, they are not designed to hold sub-assemblies.

That's odd, what's the purpose then? They do have a drop box at the bottom.

Their purpose is to allow the player to make their own custom part categories, so if you had a bunch of parts you always use for rovers you could make a custom rover category for those parts so they are all together.

If you use mod parts you can also make custom categories for them, and several modders provide custom groups with their mods.
