Will KSP-1 be updated anymore?

Will ksp-1 be abandoned by the developers or will ksp 2 take over, I'm curious if ksp-1 will still receive updates?

KSP1 had its final update almost two years ago in June 2021, and they were very clear that it was the last major content update.

We may still get a patch or two but I wouldn't count on it.

No, except if they make the code public or if someone buys it, but given the goals of T2 that's unlikely.

Abandoned? I.. what? KSP 1 launched as version 0.7.3 to the public in 2011 and had two major DLC packs, and a decade of development across 91 updates... it's DONE. lol

Don’t count on any updates, except for the occasional Launcher update.

But there’s still active mod development and that won’t stop anytime soon.

This is something to celebrate. Mods can finally catch ans become fully up to date.

I would like some KSP1 bug being fixed instead of new ones being created on KSP2 - but life is what life is.

The current state of affairs appears to be the only way by now.
