"Inspired" by Robbaz's Master Cube series, I designed a cube that could survive the trip through a planet's atmosphere and, most importantly, land;

Stage 04; coming into Kerbin's atmosphere

Stage 03; Square panels removed

Stage 02; Heat Shields detached

Stage 01; Parachute deployment

And finally...

...Landed!

This is a drone, how ever, so should I make a Kerbal version?

The KSS Hermes, an interplanetary ship that can go really far, I don't know the exact DV, but since there is a lot of LH2, and the VASMIR drive has a really high isp (only 3 units of LH2 a sec) this ship has a good 2.5 hours of burn time.

Based after the Dreamchaser, The Streamer B1; Walrus Aerospace's latest craft, containing a Kerbal party of 4 (AKA the Explorer on KTS-1-2)

I know, it's nothing fancy but I wanted to share them anyways ;)

Rather proud of this one. Biggest plane I've built that can land on dirt (albeit very smooth dirt)

She's a big one! :)

The wings are Squad airliner wings, but I scaled them up 80% and redid the drag, lift, fuel capacity proper. The tail fins I rigged to hold 150 units of fuel each.

Cockpit is a 3.5m mod, the rest of the plane is dead stock 3.5m parts.

12 J-33 engines, peak speed is 309 m/s @ 7500 metres ASL.

It weighs in at 73 tonnes with full fuel, no cargo.

Flies really nice. Not like a giant brick. Lands like butter.

8k render in blender render, imgur compressed it to 4k and a load of compression from a 250 mb to 3.8 but nevertheless this render is by far one of my favorite featuring two new crafts I made (Vought F4U Corsair) and (SE5 British WWI Biplane). As captured in this scene, the SE5 is being chased down by 3 F4U's in flying formation. Acrobatic smoke included :D

Thanks for viewing. Hope you liked it :D

Okay - so we overshot the KSP runway...

... and the Island airstrip...

... so I guess we'll have to turn around.

POWER SLIDE!
