regex Posted May 23, 2017 Share Posted May 23, 2017 Came back to the game, checked the transfer windows, and then did this seven times: Seven little nuclear tugs, all safely on their way back to Kerbin. Next up, not sure when, I have a crew transfering back from Duna, the missing eighth nuclear tug arrives at Dres with its fuel slug (it will be the only one to refuel at Dres due to the earlier exorbitant correction burn), and then five correction burns so all of the tugs come back in an orderly fashion. I also noticed this little gem in the future correction burns, always a fun thought... GC is getting crazy on this save, especially with all the jumping around. Carrying only a third of the fuel of the cruiser she accompanies, and only two MPDT/reactor units, she's vastly more more nimble, and has the thrust-to-weight ratio to land on the smaller airless bodies of the Kerbol system. Engines can be rotated inline for transfer burns, but here, she's initiating a landing burn on Ike. Gently does it... She carriers a rover in her aft bay, and has also ISRU equipment mounted there to refuel both herself, and a larger cruiser that she may be accompanying. Nuclear Methane version first. good for High shots and off inclination intercepts. FB-66XRN Hyperion Hydrolox version was much cheaper and made the response faster. My Potato runs it fine in x64 -dx11 mode. 5 year old quad core and a 970nV. Current build 11.4.1 runs great but it takes a long time to install clean. Started a GPP x10 install and had problems. Set the scale back to normal GPP and launched, everything I build has three times the dV it needs. What do you mean 10k dV isn't needed for orbit? Using FASA for parts mainly now but I'm tempted to go SSTU. Not sure my potato can handle that addition. Oh I also wrote new NERVA configs today ...
