Started my second attempt on the Elcano Challenge because the first wasn't the best idea, it went to file 13. My second attempt is going well and it was started one week ago today. This Challenge has Challenges within itself and you will also fine Kerbin is a very beautiful place the more you travel. I have a few pictures of my journey so far and it's been one heck of a long one. I hope to be finished this weekend. I will give my complete report and reveal my craft that was inspired by my Indy Car (Indy Xtreme) the craft is named after it Indy Xtreme GT (Indy Xtreme Global Transport). I like your style with the Marine Lift, looks a little like something I built awhile back and 80 m/s is nice, I haven't updated yet and just built a catamaran style craft getting 70 m/s, it was built for the Elcano Challenge. Put some wheels on this craft and maybe you can give the Elcano Challenge a try. -

The Elcano Challenge : Ground-based circumnavigation
Castille7 replied to Fengist's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Started my second attempt at this Elcano Challenge and it's been quite an experience, for those who haven't tried it or have been thinking about it I encourage you to do so if you have a lot of patients. It will bring you to apprecaite the beauty of Kerbin and the Challenge has Challenges in the Challenge if that makes any sense? I did a little research before starting and began my journey and to my surprise I forgot to name my saves, my craft stopped and I refueled but didn't notice that the Engines had broken off while I wasn't looking so now I will be starting again. This was roughly 10 to 12 hours of travel real time. Lesson learned and this is a lesson for those who plan to take this Challenge. The Picture shows how far I went and I will be doing a Recovery here. -

Yes nice multi-fuselage build, I built this one where the Kerbals get a little different experience, although it's not near the size of yours! -

Nice set of picks and presentation Ghostbuzzer7 -
Thanks for the REP and nearly every craft I post I put good information with the craft especially if I am looking for some good feed back and rep, but for this particular post I purposely left photos and good description out because I wanted the video to spring that surprise to the viewer. This is a very small craft and most of us on the space craft exchange can clearly see the parts being used and already know if they would like to download it or not. Again thank you for the compliment and I will give more information as soon as I get a chance. - - - Updated - - - I sure will.... thank you, I am not on my computer at the moment.

I made this thing I called a Cozmic Strip a while back so I will call it a throw back Thursday thing too. Imgur was something I found after I created this so I didn't have to cool Album to post it with. Please excuse the awkward looking crafts although they are very functional also a misspelling on "Hangar" I hope you enjoy it!

I'll second this notion! -
Thank you Majorjim, I was using my resources for this video, I am so impressed with Cupcake's work I had to ask which camera mod was being used and ran with it. Also the craft was inspired by our fellow Kerbonauts postings recently.

I will post pictures but I didn't want to post them too soon or it would have spoiled the surprise about what the craft was capable of doing. I have some pictures on IMGUR do a search on my ID castille7 - - - Updated - - - Thanks so much pTrevTrevs your comments, REP and compliments they are very appreciated!!

The new, longer jet engine models
Castille7 replied to Red Iron Crown's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Adding more realism to the game is always a plus, that is why KSP is so fascinating. I am all for adding the turbines but please leave the option of the Engine parts as they are. I am also wondering if these would be attachable on the radial or only on the ends of the turbines? This would take away from realism but a space plane they would look nice with these mounted against the hull.
