after it happens, share somewhere the ksptot.log file you will find in the main KSPTOT folder - actually just copy and paste it here inside a Code block. It's not usually that large

[1.10] Rocket Emporium 1.8.5 (2020-07-15)
Drew Kerman replied to Katten's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Keep an eye on this for when @linuxgurugamer finishes reviving it: It has a science experiment for cameras that can be patched to work with others. I recall using it with Hullcam back in the day -
The Kerbal Space Agency: To Be Continued...?
Drew Kerman replied to Drew Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
The latest and last kerbed sub-orbital spaceflight took place earlier this month when Specialist Bob witnessed an eclipse from space. Next step - kerbals in orbit, 2021! Mission details -

[1.4.x] Orbital Decay - Resumed v1.6.1.1, 04 Jun 2018
Drew Kerman replied to Papa_Joe's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
double-check with the Kerbalism devs? Not sure what's going into their latest update. But they have solar storms and such, which would go well with the solar cycle sim Have you also looked into this? Compatibility with KSPTOT would make this mod much more useful as people will have a great external tool to help manage the decay -
[1.12.5] Restock - Revamping KSP's art (August 28)

bummer. Well, hopefully Matlab will address it at some point. Thx for looking into it

Hrm, nope this wasn't the problem. When I turn on Painters it seems to just make everything bolder, not softer. It also has no effect when I pop out the figure into a new window.

Note tho that the plots I showed you were from MA. Able to put the option there too?

eh, it's a minor quibble. Obviously I prefer the anti-aliasing look better (cause who likes jaggies anyways) but it's not like the graphing isn't still perfectly functional. If possible, would still like the option to enable as once planning is over and I want to publish mission details I don't need performance anymore. If not possible to switch on in app, a separate build with the option toggled would work (as a manual thing for me to switch to the alternate .exe, not asking you to bother making it user-friendly or anything)

Yea here is a figure rendered in previous releases, with smooth lines: here is one from the latest PR Note how jagged the lines are as anti-aliasing (line smoothing) seems to be either switched off or no longer supported

@Arrowstar does the new figure rendering still allow anti-aliasing? Also do you agree MA/LVD should have the Rotate Figure option selected on load?

I had someone work this up for me a few years ago however it was unfortunately never delivered. My deep space network is finally nearing completion this year and I will soon want to start showing off the various facilities but I wouldn't feel right doing so without the 200m Arekibo radio dish. Other static packs have what I need for 60m and smaller dishes, but the old KerbinSide Arekibo static is not up the current standard. Please PM me with rates if interested. Delivery would be anytime by the end of this year. I'm very flexible when it comes to artistic vision and don't need to stick very close to Arecibo's design, but that would be simplest with lots of easy reference material. Other than this, the only other artwork I've commissioned for KSA was from @yorshee on two occasions and you can contact her on twitter to know that I'm easy to work with collaboratively and pay promptly on delivery

I think we've mind-melded cause I've been considering asking for something like this for a while now I also think I will soon owe you more coffees

I still don't get how the western-most (green) station could come back first though - oh wait it is several hundred meters higher... hrm well I can do this at some point after I wake back up and know for sure, using mods to place my ship at the lat/lng/alt specified for the time at which signal is lost/comes back

Can confirm. test of all behaviors that were causing error beeps no longer produce any problems. Good stuff! The line of sight however still may have issues? Using the file I sent you I plotted LOS for KSC (red) and Umbarg (green). Umbarg is a little further west of KSC so the first drop off makes sense, it goes over the horizon first. But why does it come back into view first? I'm thinking at first Kerbin rotated enough under my ship to bring the stations back into view since it happens under apokee but the ground plot trajectory does not loop, so Kerbin isn't catching up at any point. The rest of the comm stations LOS behave as expected

yea, here. And I've also found that trying to plot for Line of Sight is consistently coming up 0. Rocket should be able to see ground stations KSC, Sheltered Rock, Ockr, Kravass and Ockr Relay at some point during the mission

@Arrowstar I'm still getting an error when I go to add a ground station to a new MA file: Reference to non-existent field 'markerSymbol'. Error in ma_GroundStationsGUI>populateStation (line 113) Error in ma_GroundStationsGUI>stnListbox_Callback (line 145) Error in ma_GroundStationsGUI>addStnButton_Callback (line 249) Error in gui_mainfcn (line 95) Error in ma_GroundStationsGUI (line 42) Error in matlab.graphics.internal.figfile.FigFile/read>@(hObject,eventdata)ma_GroundStationsGUI('addStnButton_Callback',hObject,eventdata,guidata(hObject)) Error using waitforallfiguresclosed (line 9) Error while evaluating UIControl Callback. Doesn't stop me tho and seems to work okay, shows up fine in Mission Animator. Also another error tone was sounding as I clicked on the entry if it was still named New Ground Station

okay so I think the whole ability to show motion just by dragging the slider lends itself well to the concept of a Mission Animator type of extra window, so yea that's where I was going with this. Don't wait up on me if you get the urge

nothing yet, just wondering. Since it's possible I will follow up on this with more details at a later point when I have more time spent with it. Certainly good enough as is

wasn't it a bug you found? I was just confused why the values I was adjusting weren't what I expected. Anyways I'm working in PR5 and no obvious issues so far. Is there any way to break out the animated view as well? I know you can still open the window and get the static view...

@Arrowstar I would like to request time stamps in the ksptot.log. I can't tell if the optimizer is hung up or not and looking at the log I see stuff but don't know if it happened before or during the optimizer run what exactly is the value being edited in the variable adjust window? Because it doesn't correlate to the Linear Term of the steering values I'm adjusting. Just looking to get a better idea of the link between them

looks very classy. minor issue: "Settings" shows up as "Settins"
