KerbalX.com - Craft & Mission Sharing
BudgetHedgehog replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Is the site down? I'm trying upload a craft and it's getting stuck on this screen: When I try and go anywhere, it shows a "Was that the primary buffer panel!?" 500 error.. -
[V5.0 RC1 released] AeroKerbin Industries Modified IVAs
BudgetHedgehog replied to MasseFlieger's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This mod is the entire reason I made this spaceplane. I like the Mk2 IVA.. and I like the Mk1 IVA... but which one's best? There's only one way to find out - Have both of them on a plane! -

So, I tried to replicate your problem and I have good news and bad news - the good news is that yes, I could replicate it. The bad news is that it's MJ, not SPR. KER reports the correct acceleration, thrust and TWR etc.. That's why you couldn't see anything out of the ordinary in the configs - because there is nothing out of the ordinary. Bring it up with sarbian (also note that yes, I do have FAR installed unlike MainSailor, but was still able to replicate the problem).

[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
BudgetHedgehog replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Oh hey look, my picture's there! Not sure what you pointed out though, it all looked correct to me -
Just a little thing: StackDecoupler and stackSeparator don't exist in Squad/Parts/Utility. I presume it's a mistake as all the other folders (linearRCS, the parachutes etc) are the same. Otherwise, a glorious update! Thank you!

Another "congrats on being on modding mondays"! Woo! I'll check other parts (on a stock install) tomorrow evening if needed. Also, yeah, TR has reflections, but currently, it's just reflecting either the skybox or EnvMap, not sure yet. It needs a bit of work (it's visible in the editor right now etc) but makes things oh so shiny.

[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
BudgetHedgehog replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Delete the CityLights.dll. For some reason, in 0.25, it's causing that problem. Course, then, you'd end up with no city lights, but I guess that's the price to pay for using a mod designed for use with 0.24 in 0.25.... -
Something I just noticed: In the editor, parts that aren't connected aren't redded out. This is what I mean: The part on the left isn't connected and is redded out to show this. The part on the right (fuel tank) shows the normal 'attached' texture (but the radial mounts on it are correctly translucent). Not a major bug, but it could be confusing at times. Also, I'm sad that Texture Replacers new update (that adds reflections to the 1-2 pod, Hitchhiker pod etc) doesn't work on these revamps. Would be amazing if they did, I like shiny stuff

All craft spin right in space.
BudgetHedgehog replied to Kerbonaught's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Make sure to disable all of FARs flight assistance options (DCA, Lvl, Yaw etc) once you leave the atmosphere. They should disable themselves, but I've noticed that sometimes they don't. -
In-game wiki
BudgetHedgehog replied to superm18's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I don't think OP is asking for an online web browers, just a wiki that's stored with the game. A glossary, an encyclopaedia, that's searchable and available offline. I wouldn't mind that. That said, I like that I have to Alt-Tab out - gives me something to do on the long loading times -
So use Linux x64. Look, I'll be blunt here - you have a few options: Use Win32bit, get no warning, less mods; use Win64bit, get warning, all the mods, unpredictable crashes; Linux x64, no warning, all the mods; Win64bit with recompiled MM, no warning, all the mods or Win32bit OpenGL, no warning, possible graphical issues. You have to pick one. I don't particularly care which one you pick, but either way, you're going to have to sacrifice something. Whether it's amount of mods, time to learn coding or money to buy a 1GB USB to dual boot. Or you could just, you know.. live with it and not complain that it's annoying.

[1.2.2] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.2.1 (Old Thread)
BudgetHedgehog replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The bottom warning is due to ModuleManager and the dialog box is from CompatabilityChecker - usually bundled with plugins. Plugins are not from B9. Sure, B9 uses them (extensively), but if you remove the B9 folder, you'll still likely see that warning. EDIT: Ninja'd by a goddess- 4,460 replies

Linux is A, free and B, runnable off a USB stick. Here's an easy guide for doing it (one of the steps is 'make a backup in case you screw something up'). Have you tried OpenGL? That is working wonders for me - no ATM needed, B9, KWR, TR, KSC++ and it all runs under 2.5GB. That said, the warning is supposed to be annoying - it's reminding you that you are running a version of KSP that is widely known to be unstable, isn't supported by a lot of modders (including sarbian) and even Squad recommend that you don't use it. I can't express how much of a pile of unstable mess that thing is, it should never have been in 0.25 in the first place. You actively select a build that is defined as Experimental on Steam.. and then complain at the modders (who do this work for free) that their warnings about how unstable it is are annoying. Shame on you.
