One sentence you could say to annoy an entire fan base?

[1.1.2] Kerbal Konstructs v0.9.7.1 - Slopey Glidey
AlphaAsh replied to AlphaAsh's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
*nod* Thanks OWK. I haven't had my morning coffee yet and that's where I get tact, diplomacy, manners and my stunning wit from. Still keen to see if KK still plays up without KCT being installed. That'll confirm if it is indeed the two mods having a slap-fight over something. I also got my logs mixed up. The one that is most useful is KSP.log straight out of the GameData folder.- 872 replies

Image #5 'Naked Port' looks like the docking port has been offset down in to the fuel tank (the odd texture tearing on the face of the port). That may well cause problems with docking (specifically the tank's collider is taking priority over that of the docking port).
-
And what I'm suggesting chap, is that with that global setting, it obviously needs to not be concerned with where an image is, just what size it is. Clearly if an exclusion config is not protecting that icon because of its location, that's an issue with ATM, not with the location of the icon. I think we're both misreading each other. I'm actually not disagreeing with you
-
Having that one setting I suggested as well as exclusion files, means far less need for exclusion files. If an icon is so big that it's not caught by the setting, well you use an exclusion config as usual. Or, as OWK suggested, you can always resize it yourself. Or bug the icon maker. The size of the icon is their responsibility. The mushing of their icons by ATM, isn't.
-
Does ATM without an exclusion config make it look like mush? If yes: Why does that matter? Just automatically exclude any image of a certain file size or smaller, say 51kb. That'll very likely be an icon. EDIT - One line in ATM's config file. IgnoreAnyImageLessThan = Xkb No more exclusion config for every bloody mod.

[1.1.2] Kerbal Konstructs v0.9.7.1 - Slopey Glidey
AlphaAsh replied to AlphaAsh's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
If it was installed by CKAN, there's a good chance you've got GameData/KerbalKonstructs/.. instead of GameData/medsouz/KerbalKonstructs.. which would explain the texture issues. I can make the filters editable by the KK settings config, np. EDIT - Confirmed that the latest CKAN setup is incorrect. I don't maintain the CKAN setup and it looks like someone was manually fixing the subdirectory issue but hasn't done so for a few versions. I'm not wanting to have to babysit CKAN so all I can suggest is bugging the CKAN devs to actually fix the issue in their automation.- 872 replies

Cheers OWK. That's been on the outstanding bugs list forever though. Still haven't found a fix for it, sorry, although something just literally popped into my head as I type this. I'll re-open the issue.- 872 replies

[1.1.2] Kerbin-Side (v1.1.0) & Supplements
AlphaAsh replied to AlphaAsh's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
1 - Check the subdirectory structure of both Kerbal Konstructs and KerbinSide has been retained in GameData the same as it is in the zips. Don't arbitarily decide to re-organise the directory structures of either mod. 2 - Check if there's a duplicate KerbalKonstructs.dll somewhere in GameData. I've had reports of CKAN misinstalling the KK dll. 3 - If you are using Active Texture Management, go to the OP of the Kerbal Konstructs thread where you will find links to config files to use with ATM. 4 - Update Kerbal Konstructs. KK is often well ahead of the version that goes out with the last KerbinSide. If all of that doesn't help, back up your saves. Do a clean install Kerbal Konstructs and KerbinSide. If that doesn't help, do a clean install of all your mods. If that doesn't help, do a clean install of KSP and all your mods. If that doesn't help, you're in the Matrix. There is no spoon.- 2,488 replies

[1.1.2] Kerbal Konstructs v0.9.7.1 - Slopey Glidey
AlphaAsh replied to AlphaAsh's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
np. It is definitely something I want to get working, along with using the native persistency of KSP, in order to make it possible to found and upgrade bases, on and off Kerbin, per career save. Both hurdles are just proving to be very high and my shins are currently recovering from the last few attempts- 872 replies

Seeing blowfish posting here, I think it's worth a mention that in order for Kerbal Konstructs to make recovery possible from custom bases, it temporarily replaces the KSC instance as the active space centre at the time you recover in the flight scene and then puts the KSC back as the active space centre after the recovery. I'm just wondering if Kerbal Konstructs is a common mod in use amongst those hitting this particular bug in FMRS.

Maxmaps Talking some MP
AlphaAsh replied to B787_300's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I like the sound of this. I was well into NWN's persistent worlds, and if it's possible to be able to have reliable persistency when a server inevitably comes down, this will be a lot of fun. -

Few posts up: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/105247-0-90-Kerbal-Konstructs-%28v0-7-1%29-Fuel-Mah-Spaceplane!?p=1671998&viewfull=1#post1671998 That may seem like fun but when I tried that implementation it broke immersion and I didn't follow it through to release. It just didn't make sense that Kerbin would be covered in bases you don't already know of.- 872 replies
