I have been playing with SSTU most of the afternoon and I have to say again that everything is beautiful but I have been having serious performance issues. I feel it might have something to do with the SSTU plugin. I can't be sure except for the highly scientific method of removing SSTU from my mods and putting it back and seeing if I can repeat the results. Unfortunately with SSTU I am lucky if I can play 5 minutes before the game crashes. If I uninstall SSTU the game runs fine. I am not running that many mods my mod list is way under 1gb and even though I am running on a Mac that is still way under the limit of what my computer can do. I have attached my log file and picture of all the mods that I am using. Maybe it is just my computer not being able to handle your mod and that makes me sad. However again my mod folder doesn't exceed 1gb so I have a suspicion it could be something on your end. Thanks in advanced. Log File: https://www.dropbox.com/s/j9pm1i59c04ycoi/Player.log?dl=0

Agreed. Honestly, again this is just from my experience craft files really do help people. In terms of people attaching themselves to mod particularly ones with alot of parts like this one or Tantares. People are impressed with the parts but when they get them in game they lose interest because they just don't know what to do with them. So you either have the super creative people who can do fantastic things with packs like this and people who want to do things like that and then get overwhelmed with the amount of parts and don't know what to do. So craft files are helpful to get the most people to download even if they just help inspire creativity. Also pictures of what the pack can do help too. However I agree with you 100% don't make craft files until the pack is close to or fully complete compatibility issues with craft files suck.

This pack is the future of KSP. Its popular right now but in the coming months just based on my experience this pack will become as ubiquitous with KSP as FASA, KW, KOSMOS, NOVA PUNCH, Mechjeb, Porkjet, Bobcat, and so many more but this is the future so I highly recommend it. I can't wait to see it when its fully complete. Bravo One thing that you really should consider is a craft folder. Or a thread for a craft repository. The combinations for this mod are so great it would be great to have a repository for all of the awesome ideas and creations.

I don't understand that if it was largely due to money and it being a thankless job why not just put some advertisements on the page? We appreciated Kerbal Stuff because Curse sucks. Even with ads Kerbal Stuff was still better. I mean with the traffic Kerbal Stuff was getting they could have generated a huge amount of revenue from ads alone. This doesn't make sense to me at all. What a shame.

Another question. When do you think the IVAs are gonna be done for your pods? Pardon me for not knowing the name but your gemini capsule alike is gorgeous and I just cant bring my self to use it because I can't see my Kerbals and I can't IVA. Also if you made a Gemini alike service module that would be quite awesome too. Thanks for all the hard work.

Could you please please please consider doing an example craft folder. Or at least label in the part descriptions what goes to what? Its not difficult but I find myself in the VAB searching for parts for specific launchers and it would just be much more efficient if you could do craft files and or label the descriptions a little more clearly. P.S. I love the pack so much I have been using this pack ever since it was only an orange tank and an RD-180 engine. I love how far you guys have come.

I love these parts they are fantastic! One request for the future. Could you make the solar wings longer or a another set of solar wings that are longer. I have been searching for really nice solar wings to replace the one from the KOSMOS pack. Your solar wings are gorgeous and if they were only longer they would be perfect. Lets be honest once and a while you feel like making an ISS and the stock ones just don't cut it. Well done on this pack truly.

[1.0.4] Endurance (from Interstellar) [DISCONTINUED]
sp1989 replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Lol I'm not saying this being ungrateful but it needs to be said because it's funny. Updated for 1.04 just in time for 1.05 -
I think if Andy Weir had his choice he would have left the cursing in. I think the decision was more on Ridley Scott, Drew Goddard, and the production company made the decision to water down the language. Unfortunately I don't think the movie does as well with an R rating. Again maybe people don't care about ratings anymore but PG-13 is the safe choice to appeal to a wide audience.

I have no choice my hand subscribed before I could even think about it. This is the most kerbal mod I have seen in a while.

It's funny we are talking about this now lol this is from Andy Weirs Facebook. "We're working on a "school-friendly edition" of The Martian for release some time in 2016. Basically, it's just a version of the book with the profanities removed or replaced with softer words so schools can put it in their curricula without people objecting. (Don't worry, the normal version of the book won't be affected. This is just a special version for schools.) So the publisher sent me a printout of the book with every swear word or potential phrase schools might not like highlighted in yellow. I'm making my edits in red. Sometimes I eliminate the offending word entirely, other times I use a replacement word that's PG-13. But sometimes, I stand my ground!" I was gonna post the picture but it is a picture of a phase from the book and there are quite a few f-words. It's the "hey look boobies" part and its highlighted as a profanity. Andy Weir commented next to it "this stays in at all costs"

Precisely! Kids know and say worse but the MPAA is an ancient organization with leadership just as old, naive, and prude. They say that a pg-13 can only have 2 f-bombs. No frontal nudity but butts are ok. The book realistically is a pg-13 book even with all of the cursing. In this day an age I think the distinction should be drawn at nudity. Even though realistically as well kids see much worse too on the internet. However if we are going to have ratings swearing is the least of the MPAA concern. Over sexualization that is a problem also extreme violence. I'm not talking about like die hard violence. I'm talking the likes of the SAW series. I think long story short realistically there are things kids see and hear everyday. Swearing, the oversexualization of everything from Halloween costumes to bubble gum and fighting and violence in video games and on tv. The Martian should have been closer to book swear wise and still been considered pg-13

I agree. It would have been nice to see watney fully unleashed but I think it was a good decision keep it to pg-13. Keeping it pg-13 definitely helped ticket sales you can reach and appeal to more people. I think they made a good compromise.

Nope it's the same problem they had with the first shuttle. They painted the tank white but it was way too much unecessary weight, and one coat of paint doesn't look right.

I think we might be past the first flight of the Titan 1. I believe the first flight of the Titan 1 was in 1959? Although the last I am sure was sometime in the mid 1960's. Still any significant flight of the Titan 2 I think we will see will be the Gemini test flights. Besides the Gemini flights I don't think the Titan 2 was used for anything else in the 60's with the notable exception of being a major part of out ICBM arsenal. It wasn't until later we the air force used it as a launch vehicle.

That's exactly the type Of stuff this book dives into. It's totally a quick read and you won't regret it.

There are two cuppolas. It looks like one is above the bridge and what I assume is the rest of the command and control section.

Red Shirts is quite simply a beautiful book. It is so wonderfully meta and compelling that you can easily read it in less than 8 hours. Beyond the incredible science fiction it is also is a highly emotional book, that through the satire and humor there are deep messages about life, love, and yes as cliched as it might sound the pursuit of happiness. I highly recommend this book and I am curious to see what the opinion of the community is about this novel. I wouldn't move it up on your book list and rush to read it, however it should definitely be added to everyones list. Especially people who are fans of science fiction, particularly all Star Trek, every iteration of the franchise. Also please try to avoid spoilers. Use spoiler tags when discussing the major plot points of this book. Many of them are way too good to give away.
