  1. Besides making the stock parts look incredible Im pretty sure vens part revamp has small low power batteries. I'm pretty sure quite a large amount of people use it anyway.
  2. Ahhhhh ok that all makes sense. Then I suppose the only comment I still think stands is moving some low power batteries early in the tech tree.
  3. Actually I have had that same issue with rss. Its not because the craft is necessarily too big it just zooms outside the vab. I don't know why it does it. But even still the space shuttle is huge in the vab,
  4. If you plan on using the space shuttle then yes. The RSS version of the space shuttle is quite large and you will need all the room you can get.
  5. Ok so I have been playing and I have to hand it to you the tech tree is gorgeous. I first cheated and unlocked the whole thing to see how you have it laid out. Its got a wonderful flow and progression to it. Its well thought out and the stock alike part pack you have chosen really do work. Here are my comments though. First I think you need to focus on the contract system before the custom experiments. The stock generated contracts just aren't conducive to the tech tree that you have made. Many of the contracts need to be completed by kerbals and in terms of contracts that require experiments there is simply not enough power in the first v1 probe core to complete any stock generated contract. So for now you might want to either consider bringing some low power batteries down from the tech tree early on, or work on the contracts system. Do you plan on make the contract system like BTSM or do you just plan on adding your own custom contracts? I know that must take a hell of a lot of work and planning, Im just simply saying that they should be your next focus, at least thats my opinion. Finally I personally don't care but it would be nice if you packaged the dependencies and culled them for whatever parts are really needed. For example SXT I assume has alot of parts you want and need but many more that are unnecessary. I know thats probably way down the line but in terms of streamlining the overall experience I am sure parts like the "radial airline window" are not necessary for the the pack. Unless you plan on making airline contracts, then I stand corrected. Overall man a stellar preview release! No bugs from what I can tell and again the tech tree is really solid. Great job.
  6. Well if you are doing a series for these things you might as well launch from the right place. Its actually really easy to use. Just drag and drop like all other mods..

  9. Yea I'm sorry I say rd180s but I do mean rd180. I know it's one engine but I see two engine bells and I think two engines. Yea the greebles are just a suggestion you don't have to be cause I said so, it just makes it looks more complex.
  10. The RD-180s look incredible. Well done! I think some more detail work would be wonderful. Just seen greebly like things around the top just so it's not so plain.
  11. I voted for Amure because it does look like orion. However! With vens part revamp the stock pod look incredible. I suppose it's great either way.
  12. I really like it! Obviously you haven't done it yet but the copper color is so iconic so please aim for that. Also make sure the rd180s are available outside the shroud so we can use them on other crafts. One last comment is the engines look a little stubby. I know you aren't going for "replica" but they should be longer and we should know they are rd180s. Otherwise they are just engines that are called rd180s.

  14. No no I don't mean to mitigate any of the work you guys have been doing! I am excited for your release as well, however those are exact replicas. I'm talking about stocklike stuff that's modular and can be used for different things. Ie engines and tank pack that are versatile. Like HGR and Beales stuff. As I said for such important space infrastructure the mods that attempt to mimic their operation is sparse. What this mod has the potential of doing it taking by the users choice keeping the original atlas or replacing it with the rd180s atleast that's what my interpretation is about future plans I can be wrong.
  15. I gotta say there aren't really any mods out there that cover the delta and atlas rockets, in anyway! I mean yea with certain mods you can make things look like the the atlas and delta but no dedicated mods to them. I don't understand this, considering they are arguably the most important rockets ever built, launching just about everything (at least american stuff) into space. I mean there are mods for everything Russian. Heck there are 3 maybe 4 if you include bobcats, dedicated to looking like or being the soyuz. There is even a Buran Mod and its works better than the CSS currently. Anyway if you guys follow through I will be very excited to something representing the atlas and delta rockets.
  16. Wow this is going to be awesome! One last thing do you plan on releasing just a parts pack for people that aren't interested or might not want to play through the tech tree? I am personally excited about everything! I am just curious about if we would be able to use the parts outside of the RTK tech tree/in game without the tech tree. Also I apologize if this has been asked, I have not read too far back.
  17. I asked this in the Atlas/Centaur thread but do you guys plan on working together though the entire atlas series like the copper color tank and the RD-180s. That would be really really cool and would meld well with the progression you are planning. Also gives you the opportunity to work on small srbs.
  18. Will you do a kerbalized entire atlas series because that would be amazing! Like an RD-180 kerbalized all the way through Atlas V.
  19. I am going to be cautiously optimistic about this mod. I have become too excited about mods in the past that die. I wish you luck and if you get this done it will be truly an amazing mod to behold.
  20. Well if you can fix those things then they would be fine. The huge NASA logo really ruins it for me. I can get over the other things.
  21. Maybe, however the huge NASA logo on the boosters is certainly not accurate, and too me they also look kinda grey. Also the red pipe going down the side is not accurate either.
  22. Im serious! Don't make me do this!! Each crew cabin holds 16 plus 4 in the cockpit. Thats 100 kerbals!
