  1. Yep, you heard right, a rocket plane, im using 3 cardboard tubes pasted together with glue and alot of paper (Because it becomes really strong when dry), i used 1 tube to make the cockpit, its not quite fancy but it has a retractable hatch in order to put a plasticine victim Kerbal in it. The 2nd tube is a part of the retractable hatch, i also plan to put a chute or something in it. The 3rd tube is the most important, it has room for the engine, its currently empty though, and that's the reason of this post: A: Do i make a removable SRB-like engine to put inside of the 3rd tube, that i can remove, refuel and then re-install it on the plane or B: Do i simply reinforce the insides of the 3rd tube with lots of aluminium foil and stuff, so i can simply pour the fuel inside of it without any removal. Yes yes, i can use those rocket motors you buy in stores and all that, but in my country, as far as i know there are NONE of those stores anywhere. Im planning on using rocket candy fuel for this. I could also make the plane RC controlled, but after seeing on how difficult it is to buy and set up everything, i better stay away from that... Im currently using all my understandings on aerodynamics that KSP and FAR teached me, it should be enough to keep a stable-ish flight... I just don't want to open the hatch and notice my plasticine kerbal is all crushed and with its head missing
  2. KSP lacks space fighters... The Stanley Parable doesn't give you enough choices to make Spore is unrealistic and lacks real evolution Half life 1 has crappy graphics and isn't fun Rimworld is so repetitive! EA Games is the best company EVAH! Can't think of any other thing, im more of games other than movies
  3. First 0.24 screenshot, was playing with RSS and managed a suborbital flight because i underestimated the power needed to get to orbit... Next is number 25!
  4. Ok... Hour 1: I would go outside, enter to my workshop and grab all the stuff i can grab, wood, nails, a hammer and maybe a chainsaw. Hour 2: I would get inside and start to barricade my windows, i would let my door uncovered though, i live elevated 2 meters above the ground, bellow is the workshop. I don't think zombies will be able to climb up... Hour 3: I would make some homemade weapons, maybe a plank with alot of nails on it, and maybe a crappy crossbow. Hour 5: Having my weapons done, i would get out and go to the nearest grocery store, then grab some food, optimally food that doesn't expire... And maybe some peanuts... Hour 6: After raiding the store, i go back to my house, i put all the food in the freezer. Hour 7: I get outside and go to the nearest metals shop (Or however is called), i then grab all the metal sheets i can get, aluminium, iron, anything! Hour 9: I go back to my house and i start upgrading my defenses. Hour 11: I go to sleep... Day 2 Hour 1: I get out and i put some armor on my car, i cut a hole on the top and make some sort of shield for the hole, will use that for another thing later on. Hour 3: I get inside my car and go find a military outpost, i get out and see if i can find a machine gun or something, and some bullets. Hour 5: I put the loot in my car and go back, then i design some sort of machine gun mount, and mount that on the hole on the top. Hour 7: I grab all the food i can grab and put it on my car, but at this time the car struggles to move because of the weight, still it works. Hour 8: I get to a cars shop (Or whatever), i grab a more powerful suspension, a more powerful engine and maybe bigger wheels. Hour 12: I spend most of my time installing the stuff, i sleep inside my car Day 3: Hour 1: I start driving towards the coast. Hour 7: Got to the coast, i drive until i find a big-ish boat. Hour 8-30: I put all my stuff inside of the boat, including the machine gun mount in wich i mount on the boat's back, the car will stay there. Hour 9-Infinity: I start sailing out towards the ocean, hoping to find an oilrig or something in wich i can live in Now, i wish im with some friend or something when the apocalipsis begins, i don't want to be alone for 32 years ._.
  5. KSP is the worst game ever because you can't build space fighters, not only because you don't have proper weapons, but because when you rotate THEY DON'T TURN LIKE THEY SHOULD! Also because thrusters don't work on a vaccum, laws of physics don't apply in a vaccum, thus thrusters are useless, that's the reason why Apollo 11 couldn't go to the Moon! SO UNREALISTIC DAH!
  6. Yes! But first testing it alot unmanned, then slowly advance going sub-orbital and then orbital, i don't wanna find myself on orbit with my door jammed, my engine broken and having barely enough fuel to deorbit
  7. Vall, looks nice and reminds me of a ball of paper, but blue Laythe looks nice and all but nah, Tylo... Forget about tylo!, Bop is pretty much a darker gilly, pretty cool. Pol is a ball of pollen! Really reminds me of that. About pronunciation, i sometimes pronunce it "Layth", other times i pronunce it "Lay-Thee" just because it sounds cool
  8. I don't use Mechjeb, i don't see it as cheating or anything else, its just that it takes all the fun of landing on other bodies (Yes... I only landed on the Mun, Minmus, Duna, Eve (cheating though...), and Laythe), docking and all that fun stuff. I would use it to know true altitude, horizontal speed and that stuff, but why waste RAM while other mods do the same without autopilot?
  9. I just quitted KSP to install this, was about to launch a minmus mission, but i just couldn't without this mod! Great job! (again)
  10. Yea but you don't get funds out of them... You only get science AFAIK...
  11. I don't run on 64 bit, it's useless as i have only 2GBs of ram anyway. I haven't tried yet...
  12. Yes, i recommend you FAR as Northstar said, but you will have to make realistic gravity turns or else you'll flip out of control easly. If you're REALLY wanting to get into orbit without ANY effort other than pressing a button, install Mechjeb, although you wont get the full experience of acomplishing it yourself, as Mechjeb is essentially an autopilot, but if you want to try it out... Now, you can also watch youtubers play the game, i recommend you Scott Manley, wich has alot of tutorials, and HOCgaming, he plays normaly, you can still learn alot. Also if you want to laugh, i recommend you Danny2462, he makes funny videos about KSP, but i warn you, when you watch one of his videos, chances are that you won't be able to stop watching! You can also search for tutorials here on the forums, its full of them too!
  13. Its not that hard actually: MK.1 Cockpit, then add an FL-T800, then a jet engine (The powerful one, not the basic one). After that put 2 radial orange engines JUST on the end of the FL-T800, that should be enough... Oh! And don't forget to add 4 radial intakes! After that add wings however you like, just remember basic stuff about planes. Now, launch and after liftoff go 45 degrees, when you get to 18.000m go completely horizontal, but with a bit of upwards gain to stop falling down to the planet. Do that till you get 2000ish m/s, keep burning until engines burn out, shutdown the jet engine, close the intakes and activate those radial engines, then burn 45 degrees till your apoapsis is above 70km, aim for 75km maybe. Then circularize as normal. You should have used about half of your fuel, i got surprised on how well this method works, and that explains that you don't need fancy RAPIERS, aerospikes or an awful looking plane to get into orbit!
  14. Building stuff on EVA isn't a bad idea, adding minecraft blocks to a (kinda) realistic game IS a bad idea. It just wouldn't make sense and it would look bad...
  15. Actually, it means Liquid Fuel and Oxydizer, as it doesn't specify wich oxydizer or wich liquid fuel its using, it may be Kerosene/LOX, it may be Liquid Hydrogen/LOX, or it may be another fuel/oxydizer mixture. The same goes for SRBs, they use Solid Fuel, it can be any solid fuel, it doesn't specify. For the question, i think it decouples the shroud, but im not sure...
  16. They were actually detector lasers, that activated the launch of an ICBM, i hack it and send it to the next poster
  17. Ok!... Hmm... So im standing next to a button? I wonder what will...-Dies- Press and you'll be warped into the future, but you don't know wich year! It may be 951.517, it may be 2 seconds after you press!
  18. Yup! I wonder where i will appea-*Pwooosh*... Oh im inside a house in the middle of nowhere?... *DETONATING IN 3, 2, 1...* You know what happened next Press and you'll go to a moon! But any moon in any place of the universe!
  19. Yeeeaaa but that looks ugly... Seeing that we have HUMONGOUS rover wheels, why not have HUMONGOUS landing legs?
  20. The longest place i've sended a kerbal was to Minmus as far as i remember, then it was all probes, so Minmus
  21. Don't listen to him, you've done an AWESOME job on doing this, i really enjoyed it!
  22. Ok, seem fun, never used kOS though. But i have to ask, why is B9 necessary? I mean, its full of parts for AIRCRAFT, and the rules say "Must send a ROCKET into orbit", i suppose SSTOs are allowed, but if i want to use rockets? I just have those useless parts there. And yea, landing shouldn't be manual, although its optional it just ruins the whole point of sending a lander with kOS
  23. I never tried MechJeb, i think its an awesome mod, but its not very great that some NEW (Not talking about experienced players that are bored of doing the same thing) players find the mod before even achieving orbit and then reuse to play on their own, and even if it is removed from their computer they won't know how to play, and that's quite sad actually. Its ok to use MechJeb, im not against it, its your opinion anyways.
  24. Nah Press and you'll get a potato, but with a 5% of it growing ridiculously fast and eating the universe
