  1. Oh, that's because they're .dds (game/memory optimized image texture) files. I don't know WHY, but .dds files are stored flipped vertically. I even tried googling to try and give you a better answer than "that's just how they are" and didn't find anything helpful. But all the .dds textures for the parts are also flipped vertically, and I know that has been the case with most other games that use them.
  2. uh I don't know. The cone half of the docking system is much smaller than it is in BDB, it's just that big to make sure the colliders don't get intruded on too much. It's on the 1.14 branch. What flags?
  3. Of course there is, that's why I didn't include it in that post! (light hearted ribbing, no worries) Still nothing on Viking. Rest assured you all will be the first to know once there is one.
  4. Hey all! Sorry for the continued quiet... this year simply will not stop 'happening' for me, and it sounds like the rest of the team are in a similar boat. I was able to get the RCML in game... a week or two ago now, but haven't managed to find time to finish the configs and test it properly. Or, take a screenshot, apparently. In the meantime, Invader HAS been busy working on the release of ORANGES, which you should all really check out if you haven't! There is one piece of progress to share on my end, which is that Mariner 8/9 is coming along swell! The solar panels and some other parts are also used by Mariner 6/7, which will help Invader when he comes back to finish those parts.
  5. Haha, yes, they’ve been gone since the first treatment which I believe was late June? And then we had to wait two weeks for an all clear but we haven’t seen one since the treatment thankfully. That’s one thing I can put behind me.
  6. No news to report on any fronts. Been super busy with work and Armored Core 6. Hoping to have an update, not necessarily on Viking, in the nearish future. More likely to be on RCML or Mariner 8/9. Myself and Akron have figured out a plan for moving forward on finishing the lander but I’m waiting on some files, and once I have them it will still be a bit before we have some progress to show.
  7. To whom it may concern, I am still alive. Armored Core 6, a title I've been waiting for since I was but a wee lad, has finally released. I am fully in the mech soup. Fear not, I'm sure I will return soon. Love, -CW
  8. Oh, didn't mean for my response to come off in any sort of way. I was more chiming in - mostly for people who might not have known about the bridle trough and all that - that I'd looked at including it but wound up not.
  9. No, sadly. Trying to get updates on it myself. In the meantime, I have made some progress on Mariner 8/9 which I also wanted to go along with this stuff. Oh, using the Voyager Mars PM as a roll your own Mun lander is actually very cool Delta IV with SRMUs is incredibly based and I can't believe it's not more of a thing.
  10. I really wanted to make the bridle function like real life for the BDB Gemini, but it was too complex for the limited possibilities presented by the KSP parachute module. (for one thing, parachutes can only be suspended through/rotate about a single point). Correct - it's actually currently using the real thrust, not even reduced.
  11. The two Agena engine variants with the big black radiative extensions are from the Shuttle Agena studies. I didn't make new tankage for them since that would have been a whole project itself, plus the SOT Agena was cooler.
  12. Yeah mostly just meant that I forced myself to actually update the names/descriptions before pushing them, haha
  13. Heh, I didn't even think it got uploaded - I was having trouble with creating a new branch last night. Ironic that you said they were copy paste - I put a lot of work into making them more polished than my normal uploads. There's still work to be done on them - that's just as far as I got last night before having to go to sleep. Thanks for the heads up on the solars, I hadn't gotten around to checking them, or the engine. The bioshield decoupler should decouple from the bottom - it's used to jettison itself and the bottom of the bioshield once the lander has done its thing.

  15. Need to step in and manage expectations - we do NOT have new IVAs for the CM or related parts. Rodger started on one but it wasn't finished. Just to clear the air there! Hopefully some day. I don't know what conceptual Voyager variants there are, but I'm sure @Invaderchaos is planning on going as hard as he did for the Pioneer variants.
  16. Sooooo actually I think we are going to push the 1.13 release tomorrow. No Viking but we realized we are sitting on a bunch of content from earlier this year and wanted to get it into the release build before going back to the big projects we’ve started (Viking, Atlas, Voyager). That would include MORL, Kepler, Surveyor, Helios, Pegasus, Minotaur, and Taurus. Are the FreeIVA cfgs on the dev branch? I don’t think I’ve used them.
  17. Work is continuing on Viking. The Orbiter components are ready to go in game (indeed - I've already started getting their cfgs together), and the lander itself is almost completely modeled. Still a lot of work to go, but we are definitely getting a Viking in BDB.
  18. Oh that's fantastic! I'd love to see more kitbashed recreations like this, there's a lot of stuff that we've never made dedicated parts for.
  19. That's how it was on the real thing. Though it does seem like there's a way to shift the rover forward on it? You could try using the extender thingy from the LRV
  20. Looks like you placed the ramp too high up on the side of the descent stage. The triangular struts that mount it to the stage shouldn't be sticking up like that. With that said, you could probably decouple the rover and it will be fine... I hope... quicksave first..
  21. Yeah they require some tweaking, there wasn't a way to make it work automatically with every configuration of docking port etc that players might use.
