  1. That is the new Castillo Factory. It is a 12.5m part with efficient OmniConverters, the efficiency improvements from the Castillo habitat, and support for OSE Workshop and EL Workshop. Unlike, say, the Hacienda, once you build it, it stays built.
  2. Also remember that there are some KIS specific attachment nodes in all the parts so you don't have to flip them around. Meanwhile... It's almost done! I need to create the bump and specular maps, some colliders, and then rig the animation before I can bring it into the game..
  3. Nighttime launch of a shuttle! Nice to see you finally got the bugs worked out of the system. And interesting development with maintaining orbit from Kerbin, I wonder what's going on... Reading about the WBI jet immediately reminded me of this:
  4. I had a different idea in mind for setting up bases remotely without kerbals: The Sandcastle 3D printer.
  5. I don't have CRP support for Omni Converters as that's a bit much for me to do. But they're not that hard to make yourself if you want to; just copy the ones from Classic Stock and replace the resource names from their equivalents from CRP. I've moved away from CRP myself because their resource changes adversely affect my mods.
  6. Working at on the factory... The Castillo Factory is the equivalent of the Hacienda- and then some. Its Omni Converters are more efficient, there are more of them, and it generates efficiency bonuses (moved from the current Castillo). The more you staff the factory, the higher the bonus. It will also have support for OSE Workshop and EL's workshop.
  7. This looks like a nice way to add flavor text into the game! I could see kerbals developing personalities that are expressed through the shouts and stories. Just imagine if two kerbals don’t get along and have a flame war... “I’m a better pilot!” “I crash better than you” and so on. Snacks does have a poorly documented event system that you can tap into that might be of use. It will tell you, for instance, when snacks are consumed. You could easily tap into that and have kerbals comment on the cuisine. Maybe they hate the latest meal, and your reputation drops.. All of these are beyond the scope of BARIS’ event card system, which mostly focus on part failures, changes to science, reputation, and funds, as well as changes to the astronaut corps... basically events at the space center level, not the personal level. Anyway, love the concept!
  8. Your engineer would need to reside in the part itself if I recall correctly, but yeah.
  9. Converters benefit from having engineers staff the part. There are also efficiency bonuses that you can research in the geology lab. And the converters are based on the stock game ISRU, it it has some secret factors as well.
  10. A private army that reports to the Prime Consul sounds a lot like attempt at creating a dictatorship. Fabricate an emergency- or just wait for a KSP upgrade- suspend the Articles, and declare martial law. Then you just have to deal with the KDF members who won’t stand down, but you’d have your dictatorship. Preventing that sounds like a job for your frienfly neighborhood Section 31...
  11. Well at least some of it is sorted out... Meanwhile, with the observatory exterior done, I'm working on the IVA: I'm trying to save time by reusing the Castillo IVA. Here you can see the observatory's computer lab. Somebody suggested that they're playing D&D tourney style...
  12. @capi3101 No clue why you are having problems, I don't typically see that issue. Then again, I build on dirt and konkrete platforms. Sorry I can't be much help. Some good news: The Castillo Observatory is in game and working. (Yes I know the doors aren't mirrored yet) My next goal is to create the IVA- based on the existing Castillo IVA- that will be used for both the observatory and the factory for the sake of my sanity.. P.S. Yes, it supports Tarsier and CactEye. If you have both installed, Tarsier takes precedence.
  13. I finished texturing my new 12.5m part, the Castillo Observatory! This morning I integrated it into KSP and rigged up the tracking controller plugin so that the telescope tracks what you target. Even better, it now works with @JPLRepo's Tarsier: ... and it works with CactEye Optics too.
  14. @JPLRepo Thanks for your hard work on the Tarsier mod! I'm able to do this: Now I should figure out how to integrate the observatory with Research Bodies...
  15. Soil comes from Snacks. Makevsure that you have Siol production turned on in Snacks Settings ( from the KSP Settings menu)
  16. I needed to reference some coloration on the KSC observatory for a new part, so I parked a very stable observational platform next to it: Flying saucers for the win. For reference on what I'm working on:
  17. Ok,Ihave seen that issue before and made some fixes a few weeks ago. Can you try the latest release from GitHub?
  18. Remember though, these are designed for airless environments. A rounded shape works well. Minor update: Not a lot done but everything is unwrapped at this point.
  19. Ok, I need steps to reproduce this, version of Pathfinder you are using too please.
  20. Maybe, depends on how difficult it is to select on or the other. Tarsier has more features so I give it preference.
