  1. I'd very much like to see that before any large pre-made constructions.
  2. The problem is that in-house tools are often written, hacked and 'adjusted' for current in-house needs and/or wishes, as those arrive. And the documentation (if any at all) and/or logical function is, let's be nice, "at a level that works for internal use" ... Most companies would not let such "interesting" bits of ad-hoc programming be released without first investing some serious amount of resources to make the tool in question presentable.
  3. My most common problem, or more less the only problem, is my own inability to design, build and/or fly a working design
  4. I usually keep one computer/monitor on the side logged in to EvE Online. But on the main viewer it's KSP, KSP related research, KSP related code research (and some coding) or work.
  5. 5 My RAM can hold more, but I haven't found any more that worth installing // anders
  6. The most common answer to all such queries are "marketing" and/or "business secrets".
  7. Wait! Do you mean that Squad has been breaking wind! (sorry, couldn't resist) // anders
  8. None of the above. But hopefully multithreading.
  9. Lies, all lies! There's hasn't been any confirmed sightings of us here at all.
  10. Bill of course. But then my name is Anders ...
  11. I learned a good line from another game (and from life). Observe, Analyse, Adapt and Overcome (and repeat).
  12. I don't like bugs, but I prefer Squad to spend some time QA:ing patches instead rushing out patches that breaks just as much (or more) than they fix.
  13. Ah, and that might explain why the lovely Kerbals sometimes also appear a bit dense.
  14. STRV 103, or S-tank, was quite awesome for it's role and time, but modern? The last unit was built in -71. And the last unit was phased out of service mid 90:ies. Replaced by a much more conventional (and German) Leopard 2.
  15. My youngest can read the part descriptions in KSP, in a foreign language, and sometimes even get the jokes. But to be fair, he's 17.
  16. That's exactly what's fun with KSP. Using my own brain to solve a problem based on facts gained by experimentation.
  17. I sometimes watch videos when I get stuck and need some new ideas. But I skip the boring bits where the host just rambles and (worst of all) giggles at their own fumbling.
  18. My Val is a three dot kerbonaut pilot, Jeb hasn't gone to space yet. So no, there no tension between them. Bill and Val is another issue ...
  19. So would I. But the problem is that it might be hard to find someone both competent and interested enough to write a review of a computer game who hasn't heard of KSP, tried during early access and most likely discussed with others. And what makes it worse is that KSP is a bit of a strange bird. If you put it in the hands of a j.random gamer the majority would just go '...?' and walk away.
  20. Or the reverse challenge. Build one with the most amount of issues that still works
  21. Most of the newspaper 'heavies' (like Ye Olde WP) has included computer games as a part of other 'popular media' (like tv-series, comics and such). And despite being an old cynic myself I think it's a good thing that computer games gets reviewed as a form of art next to a review of an avant garde dance performance, a classic concert, a new promo video from some boyband or a new soap opera.
  22. Probodobyne HECS might also be a reference to the magical computer named Hex in Terry Pratchett's Discworld.
  23. KSP is addictive because every time I fail I feel like it's my fault and I should be able to learn and do better next time. So every time I fail, I whack myself on the my forehead, with or without the 'doh', and try again.
  24. Slow down you go too fast (hums the rest). And ponder that 1.x might actually force you to think (and try and fail, and think some more) while designing.
