  1. Completely uninstalled, re-downloaded from Steam, ran chmod on it, played for a while (2 hours?), got another crash while switching scenes. Log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dvvekxjgufex7a6/larkvi_playerlog_20141216_1800.log?dl=0 Image of the screen that displayed during the crash: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lw5sebm5kjfm4ax/Screen%20Shot%202014-12-16%20at%2018.01.09.png?dl=0
  2. How to replicate: play for a little while, will crash in either exterior or interior scenes. No mods, clean install of KSP downloaded from Steam, new craft. player.log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rew7xkm7lium66v/larkvi_playerlog_20141216_1316.log?dl=0 This computer had no problems playing .25 on OSX, I can play .25 with 40_+ mods on the Windows partition under OpenGL without crashes. Computer: 15" MacBookPro, Retina, Mid-2012 (10,1) 2.3GHz i7 8GB RAM GeForce GT650M w/ 1GB VRAM
  3. Making the Science Jr scaleable is wonderful. It is an awkward and aesthetically awful part to work around otherwise, and making it 0.625 has been wonderful for fitting it into probes and landers.
  4. Based upon the number you quoted from the config, they are consuming 0.0000108 L of food / second., or about 40mL/hour.
  5. Would it be possible to only spawn the part that is supposed to do the scan in the science category when the contract is available, like experimental parts, and give it a unique ID/name? Something like "Do an orbital scan of Minmus with the [Procedurally-generated technobabble] tool," which would appear as an experimental orbital scanner in Science, but only be good for that one contract. I don't know what handles you have into the code, or if this would work, but it would reduce spamming contracts on the same satellite/lander.
  6. Malkuth, since we can decline missions, it is not really an issue now, but going forward, it might be nice to have the repair missions be more rare, or only spawn after a satellite has been up for a while. I have a remote-tech kerbosynchronous relay series, all launched on 6h contracts, and there is always at least one repair mission loaded up, when it seems like this should be a more occasional thing. I have been playing around with this and Fine Print together, as well as DMagic's new contracts, and so far everything plays well, and it is a more rewarding game for sending out probes and unmanned missions. For the 6h orbital period contracts, perhaps it would be better to say in the title of the contract if it is going to require an inclined orbit? Perhaps it is just me, but when I read 6h period, my mind translated to kerbostationary, when these orbits are kerbosynchronous but in no way stationary. Perhaps if the contract has no inclination, title the contract "Launch a satellite into a kerbostationary Orbit" and if it does, "Launch a satellite into a kerbosynchronous Orbit"? A small matter, to be sure, but that is my thought.
  7. I personally don't mind, and trust you on this one. I suppose a mod author could always make a web call without us knowing, so if someone intended to be malicious about it, they wouldn't need this, and versioning support would be nice.
  8. He takes care of everything, even thanking himself! Even so, let me thank you as well.
  9. Thank you for clarifying that. I had done another parts test mission between accepting the ATV contract and launching the ATV. Since the second ship was recognized as the ATV for the purposes of that contract, it never occurred to me that the first ship (which had been recovered) was the target. Also:
  10. You beat me to it--I got a very similar contract, and came to this thread to post the screencap. Gene gave me 1y, 294 days, which is more generous, but still well outside of the means of my fledgeling space program, which has never left the Kerbin SOI.
  11. Probus, after trying it out for 20+ nodes, I have a few thoughts. 1. Mechjeb surface/Orbital info need to be earlier in the tech tree. 2. Definitely rockets first--Firespitter requires a commitment to deal with fussy parts that I don't have, and FAR makes rudimentary craft difficult to fly, especially on a budget. 3. I really miss my AIES parts, and am really looking forward to you adding them. I will play more tonight and see if I cannot come up with something more intelligent to add.
  12. I will try it out tonight. Sadly, my install is already experiencing some kind of memory leak or the like, which does not make it the best test-bed, but I will see if I can find anything obviously broken in your contracts.
  13. It is, thanks. With the new version installed, I experienced a weird issue where the game froze due to a persistent memory allocation issue (itself unrelated, I am sure), and when I restarted, all the contracts were gone, but new contracts were available, so it was fairly minor in impact. (However, Explore the Mun and Explore Minmus were no longer available, though I had not finished them.) The log, unfortunately, got rewritten when I opened the new instance, so I don't have a log, and I am also running Fine Print, but I wonder if there is something about persistence file changes that might have caused that. I will try backing up my logs each time I have to force the game to quit and send one this way if I can replicate the problem, to see if it is related. Could you describe how the Agena mission is supposed to work? I got the first mission to complete (Launch Agena target vessel), but the second one asked me to launch into a higher orbit and dock with a ship that did not exist. When I tried docking with my target ship, moving it to a higher orbit, and then renaming the ship to match the name of the target in order to re-dock, I still had no dice. Is the mission supposed to spawn a target vehicle or is it supposed to find the original vehicle? I have really been enjoying the unmanned missions, cheers.
  14. I started a new save and was not experiencing the same issues as before, but I have a vessel that is green in orbit of the mun on all segments, but will not start with the sensor. I will try the new release, and if it doesn't resolve it, post a log.
  15. Probus, this looks really good, and I am going to try this out, despite the fact that I do not like/use FASA (except for the launch towers). May I suggest the Tantares mod be added to your tree?
  16. I was referring to a piece that seems to have been removed from the current version. The Alnair looks great, and will be worked into my current station.
  17. I have a question that perhaps you all have run up against. I am welding a custom upper-stage for a set series of lifters, and it looks good and flies well, but I am having an electriccharge issue. In the VAB, it has charge: but as soon as it is on the launchpad, there is no longer any charge: Here is the code: PART{ name = 2M-upper module = Part author = Cogito Corporation rescaleFactor = 1 18. An interesting idea. Trying it out.
  19. May I ask why you have standardized on the 0.625M docking ports? the 2-kerbal module looks a bit odd with its radically tapered ends, and parts from this pack don't dock well with my stations designed around 1.25M ports. (which are supposed to be the smallest ones Kerbals can get through, right?) In general, I love what you are doing with this pack, I just feel like I am missing something with port sizes.
  20. I can confirm that I am not getting the "Test a part" contracts from vanilla in my new Mission Controller save. I am getting the explore a place ones.
  21. A a lurker myself, just a correction here: I do not find KAC useful. I find it indispensable. Really great work. Thank you.
