  1. I have 3 suggestions: First one: Add missing resources to all standard (these ones with X and number in their names) tanks: Liquid fuel,Oxidizer,LFO, monopropellant, diborane, kerosene, helium. In one of tanks HTP is missing. Second one: Add Radioactive Material Holding Tank (based on universal holding tank). It could contain UF4, Th4, UraniumNitride, EnrichedUranium, Depleted Fuel and Actinides. By default if tank is set to contain depleted fuel or actinides, then it should be empty. Third one: Update MFT confing - its missing UF4/Kerosene/Diborane I posted here MFT table containing these missing resources. I guess this mod is too resourceful for you, since its seems to be hard to track all resource additions.
  2. well electric engines gets terrible TWR with this fusion reactor - only antimatter reactor with thermal and charged particles of equal size can fully power VASMIR, and I need bigger antimatter reactors to power MPD or ARCJET. Otherwise I would need to use thermal engines for launching and climbing to orbit/descending and landing on heavier moons/planets.
  3. Hmm design doesn't look very areodynamic. Also wasn't here other fusion reactor with built in charged particle reactor? It had solar panels on it, and it came only in 3.75m size - its missing from OP Its on right side of picture. (KSPI 1.9.7)
  4. Freethinker said, that next patch will focus on bugfixes and implementing whatever is in OP tables. Hopefully he adds liquid fuel/oxidizer/LFO/monoproperlant/diborane/kerosene/helium to interstellar liquid fuel tanks. All non cryogenic fuels like liquid fuel should have SMURFF level mass ratio of 1:20. Also Universal Holding Tank mass ratios should be rebalanced - Ore tank has mass ratio of 1:20 with SMURFF mod, so all nonradioactive solids should have mass ratio of around 1:15 - 1:20, radioactive materials could remain at 1:5 Edit: Since no one wants to mess with MFT compatibility with IFS (mass ratios are inconsistent between these mods), then what about making procedural IFS tank? It could be pretty simple tank - it would just divide volume between resources. So I would choose if I want one resource, or for example 5 or so, because I want to have miner/fusion/fission fuel tank.
  5. @FreeThinker That album you inserted in OP is missing magnetic nozzles, I created new album few days ago with magnetic nozzles Imgur album is here: http://imgur.com/a/0ocnb I reuploaded it again, as there were new features, and I wanted to fix weird bug, that cuts imgur albums on forums.
  6. heh frying everything, that accidentally got into xray laser Jeb would love this toy. So instead extreme UV could be unlocked with ultra high energy physics.
  7. Wonder if gamma rays would be usable too. Also here are few ground powerplants that I made What if I placed these underwater?
  8. Hmm so we could have upgradeable transmitters. First microwave, infrared, then red laser, blue laser (2x shorter wavelength), and as short wavelength UV or even X ray, if these can be used for power transmission.
  9. So first extraterrestrial microwave network would be around Mars, and later it could be built around Jupiter/Venus, Saturn/Mercury and then expand outward. And what about laser power transmission? Edit: With launch site switch I could build ground power plant somewhere at equator far from stock launcher (in RSS launch site is at Florida), lets say in Europe or Japan/China, and then launch 3 or more relays into geostationary equator orbit. Ground based reactors could go like this: Molten salt -> Dusty Plasma (core temp of 4100 degrees and tasty charged particles) -> Closed Field Magnetic Confinement fusion reactor (Reactor names in OP aren't consistent with reactor names in game) using low embrittlement fusion reactions, preferably ones, that have even higher charged particle ratios than Dusty Plasma -> Inertial Electrostatic Confinement using pure hydrogen as cheapest fusion fuel (is this one with solar panels in game?) AIM and Antimatter reactors would be allowed for orbit only and far from any planet. But it seems like microwave powered aircraft would have slight trouble at high latitudes - microwaves would have to cut trough atmosphere at shallow angle. Also thermal radiation shouldn't be harmful to surroundings? You cant just simply dump 100 GW of waste heat into air and not excepting superheated oxygen start forest fires.
  10. Ah so you need to build separate microwave networks, if you want to colonize whole solar system. So initially you would have to put reactors of your choice on upper stage, so it actually could maneuver around other planets, when far from home.
  11. Hmmm and what purpose of this p-N and pure H fusion? One use for pure H fusion would be used for orbital fusion power plants powering microwave network around planets - with big enough scoops you can gather enough Hydrogen. Thanks to no neutron release during reactions reactors can last forever. What are other uses? RSS tweak suggestion: Can you increase range of microwave transmitters/receivers/relays 11 times (range where power received/transmitted/relayed starts to fall), when RSS is installed? Distances between planets and sun in RSS are 11 times bigger - Kerbol - Kerbin is 13.6 million kilometers, where Sun Earth is 150 million kilometers.
  12. If Deuter is here, then Tritium could be here along with hexaborane. This way it could contain every fusion reactor fuel except lithium, as it is solid. Or it could be warmed up (something like reverse of cryogenic tank), and you could use Lithium6/7 as long as tank is warm
  13. @FreeThinker Can we have > 2.5m version of electric engine? Only ATILLA can be resized to up to 5m BTW really can engine pump trough it 1.28 TW of power (5m version)? Wont it just melt in millisecond? Here is screenshot of all 10 standalone reactors with generators and engines: All sizes are 5m, otherwise as big as allowed. This guy pretty much cant fly Added to tech demo engines with internal reactors. Added thermal/charged particle generators where applicable.
  14. One screenshot was missing, wrote something more in descriptions.
  15. Why there are 2 magnetic nozzles in game? Shouldn't one be hidden? This happens in KSPI catalog.
  16. Here is small slideshow showing all engines and reactors in this mod. There are 2 magnetic nozzles..... Edit: Don't forget to update MFT patch - added Kerosene, UF4 and Diborane to it.
  17. Can I suggest to sort reactors table by unlock technology just on list like this? Its bit weird to see fission tech mixed with fusion, as cost is no longer valid way to sort reactor/engine table, since some reactors can be as tiny as 0.625m and others are bigass and have 5m size. Since you listed tech like this, reactors and engines should be listed like this (by unlock tech) too.
  18. Wow this new nuclear salt reactor is going to have 8000 ISP with Water? I heard somewhere that, if you have x ISP engine, then getting more than 10x - 15x DV from single stage is inefficient (not counting refueling), so for this new water only engine/reactor you can get 80 000 - 120 000 m/s of DV Such engine would allow you to fly to moon in one day, wonder if its capable to reach Mars in few weeks.
  19. Don't forget, about updated MFT patch: Added UF4 (oops idk why I didn't add it), Diborane and Kerosene. @Trolllception since it was your patch, and I just added missing resources to it, can you make MFT mass ratios match IFS tank? This mass ratio mismatch is bit annoying. There is test craft with procedural tanks, that have exactly same size as 1.25m x8 liquid fuel tank, universal holding tank, universal gas tank and cryonics tank. http://www42.zippyshare.com/v/Xsgqrmol/file.html
  20. I multiplied it by 4 and now reactor gui overestimates fuel duration by factor of 8 - if alternative resource displays fuel lasts for 1 year, then reactor gui says 8 years. I set SecondsInDay to 86400
  21. IDK how to make such module manager config, but I can simply change it to 86400
  22. Also resource lifetime is shown in Kerbal years or something - I had 60 tons of Lithium6 for Lithium6 fusion, reactor GUI said it would over 500 years (reactor was on 100% power production, as I attached microwave transmitter to it), but after 15 ingame years (I use RSS, so its Earth year), it said there were reserves for 300 years. Edit: Tested Antimatter reactor on 100% usage - while Alternative Resource Panel says antimatter will be used up in 9 days, reactor GUI says antimatter will be used up in 36 days. It seems like reactor GUI times are in Kerbin days. On unrelated note, can be microwave parts, and umbrella radiator resizable to 10 or even 20 meters? Antimatter and QSR can produce huge amount of energy. Edit: what is working substance in radiators? It seems like they work in range of 4 - 3700 kelvins. Shouldn't radiators have minimum temperature to not freeze? Or parts of radiators shut down, when there is low power demand? Also persistent thrust doesn't seem to work with thermal engines.
