  1. Yea, I read about that. People are nuts.
  2. Yea, those two ^ Perhaps some things like TNOs and Kuiper belt objects, or an Oort equivalent ... imagine the water ice mining missions. And, if we're to have near light-speed (which we kind of do, Ions) or superluminal ability, then how about distant stars - say - the local neighborhood, full of exoplanet potentials. It would be a stretch (asking too much), but give them proper motions as well - along with Kerbol. I'll make a note here; With Celestia, there was an issue about populating distant galaxies or clusters with stars as was the depicted in the sim with our local neighborhood - namely, they said it couldn't be done. However, a way was found, and it worked very well. The same idea could be applied to KSP's math boundaries. Wow, I'd be nowhere in this game. LOLZ!
  3. Pennsylvania -> Michigan -> Florida That's a very round-about way of getting pups to Florida... especially traveling in a cage. Poor pups. Hope you're bringing lots of snacks and water for them, and making frequent rest stops along the way too... pups need to stretch legs and run!
  4. If you are a kid, or are bringing kids with you, the Liberty Science Center over the river in NJ might be interesting. Geared towards kids, pretty much everything there is hands-on. It's a place where you'll spend the entire day, there's that much to see and do. The Statue of Liberty is over that way too. Plenty to see and do in NYC also. There's the One World Observatory (sort of the replacement for Windows on the World), and THE MET and MoMA if that's your kind of thing ... there's a whole bunch of galleries in the SOHO district. Some other ideas here. 'go ahead, bite the big apple, don't mind the maggots'
  5. Agreed, there are many places you can land and do a short circle/circuit and hit multiple biomes on just about every body in the game.
  6. More than likely the server is overloaded... too much traffic. Give it a little while and try again.
  7. Go back and take at look at his 'rover' lol ! bah... Ninja'd
  8. You're overly flippant and drawing parallels to things which have no bearing. This has me not taking you seriously. The dressed insults and poking aside, there is an issue here for some people and your dismissing it and them does nothing but inflame the situation.
  9. I'm not sure what disturbs me more; The potential given T2 with this EULA, or your lack of concern over it... as this is what empowers. Do I think T2 will respond here? No. But I do know they're watching and listening, I would be too. T2 is definitely on a marketing mission, there's no doubt about that. A little research on the company can tell you that, a lot of research on the company will open your eyes. When people here first learned that T2 bought KSP, everyone was wondering about things like: how much, who controls what, what's the vision and where's it going. All of this is answered in the company's profile and 1st quarter first quarterly financials filed after acquisition. I know how much was paid... do you? As for future vision, just look at GTA, a prime example.
  10. Why rovers? Because some places it's just easier to drive to than attempt dropping a lander in. Tip for rovering on Dres: Nightvision camera makes life easy (Hullcam VDS Continued mod).
  11. Without knowing and understanding the market, personally - I think you'd lose a lot of money. "May" is a big word. You need to watch people closely when giving permission to wield it ... tin foil hat or not.
  12. Does this happen with every screenshot you take?... or just the first one?
  13. It's the Low-Rider version... makes hella sparks cruising down the runway.
  14. I couldn't agree more about Windows... likewise... I have a long running hate affair with it. I only have it on this machine because it came with it new, and I bought it solely for KSP. As for 'GNU Space Program'; There is of course a version of KSP for Linux, and of course in Linux you could set it up to run in an isolated little world of its own without any real world contact (Virtual Machine) ... think Star Trek TNG, episode 138, "Ship in a bottle". On this Windows machine, I merely turn Internet Access (wireless) off before running the program, and then turn it back on after I'm done. Inconvenient? Yes. But it does solve the issue... especially being I've not given access permissions to anything new and current save for some old v1.2.2 mods that check for updates (they work fine without being able to).
  15. Covers. No. No. No. Seriously, you're hurting my delicate ears.
  16. For it to transmit anything the software would have to be executing. Anything 'alien' trying to execute on my system would be squashed like a bug before it got launched... and I keep very close watch on what processes run on my system. Don't we all?
  17. I agree with @Brainlord Mesomorphand @KSK's point. To put it plainly, this EULA is outright devious and manipulative. Not happening. I am not your marketing fodder to have and play with. I have however clicked on the 'Agree' button to access these forums, access the Wiki, and to download the update from the store. That's all I'm going to click on and 'Agree' with though, just enough to obtain updates to my stock install. Now, with that in mind... There is a solution here; It's called PULL THE PLUG. That is exactly what I'm going to do from here on in. No aspect of this software will be allowed access to the web what-so-ever while it executes. I'll play my install on an isolated PC with no web access at all if necessary; I don't need anything (mods, CKAN, etc) checking for updates for me, I'm perfectly capable of doing that myself. And when it comes to the point where the game will not play without web access, then it will be time for me to move on... and I will.
  18. As @Hotel26mentions, there is a mod for 'autopilot'. I'm not sure I would trust such a thing however, as the Mun (like so many other places) has unpredictable terrain. If this mod had some means of allowing waypointing based on taking a path of, say, minimal slopes?... then, maybe. For time warp, I believe you can use the [Alt]+[.] form, but I don't think that's a good idea. Time warping while rovering, to me, spells "disaster imminent".
  19. Couperin, L'Aphotéose de Lully A beautiful live performance.
  20. Seeing 'War Stories', I walked in here expecting something totally different. @ArmchairPhysicist, there is a thread right here in this same section of the forums for such 'war stories'... it's called "What did you do in KSP today?". That is where you'll want to post this kind of stuff, as many folks do, myself included. You should check it out and join in!
  21. @NewtSoup "The uploader has not made this video available in your country." YouTube, and the internet in general, have become quite a disappointing place lately. Nice word chosen to not annoy certain readers, mods, and language filters. Use your imagination.
