Right off the bat, that background recurring jet noise in the SPH is the first thing I'd be turning off. I'm wondering how its flight model stacks up next to the likes of FS and X-Plane... there's a whole lot of other questions I'd have about it in that respect. And as has been asked; Where is it going? Space? Multiplayer? Are there other airports / cities/ scenery?
-
I'm still playing v1.2.2 What you see of it in the image I posted, that's only 1/4 of it... 3/4 of it are buried in the ground, and it does look like an asteroid kinda sorta. If you want, I'll post the image. I think @CatastrophicFailure's suggestion is the ticket. @Martian Emigrantis likely right about map/version variations.

I like the use of girders to build that frame / cradle... I've done similar things, it works very well, very stable. Kudos. SCANsat!

Trama rag-dolling at "Impossible Rock". What the heck is that thing?!?
-
...and she'll have fun fun fun till her daddy takes the T-Bird away. Up on Duna, Trama is doing just that. She's been cruising around in what I'll call 'the little rover that could', because I never imagined the rover would make it this far. From a bad landing site over 200km away to the west, Trama drove NNE to "The Face". From there, she's driven S, all the way down to what I'll call "Impossible Rock". I call it that because it appears it is impossible for a Kerbal to climb it. Trying to jet-pack to the top doesn't bring much luck either, because as soon as you land on it the Kerbal goes rag-doll. It appears to be some kind of strange meteorite perhaps, or so it looks like... with some strange unknown 'tool' stuck on the top. Anyway, she's there. For now, she's parked there, munching the last of the snacks she brought along. Soon enough, a lander will set down and pick her up for a ride back home... daddy takes the T-Bird away.

No pictures yet, they'll follow... Major assault of Duna in progress; Rovers, Hab modules, Sci modules, and various landers bringing in crew. I've two 'batches' of ships inbound. It's going to get interesting, the timing of things. Also, two landers have set down on Dres... manned. This is my first Dres visit. A rover will arrive shortly. I'm anxious to make the trip to the Dres anomaly. We'll be doing science too; Already started that actually. The landing surprised me, it was very easy. That's just some of what's going on.

I like that idea. I could never get the 'traditional' shuttle and lifter balanced enough to reach orbit. I ended up putting the shuttle in the middle of its lifter. Heh heh... the faces of the pilots tell the whole story!

Trama is living up to her name. I'd mentioned previously about a crew of two waiting for a ride home, and dropping a rover for them to play with in the mean time... I sent Trama out with the rover for some trials (oh yea, this is on Duna), and then out to an anomaly I'd wanted to visit previously but - fail. Well, Trama flipped the rover during the initial trial and broke a headlamp. Then, out on her mission to the anomaly, she flipped the rover again breaking the other headlamp, the radio antenna, and an RTG. Then, the objective in sight, she flipped the rover a third time, luckily not breaking anything. Both the second and third flips, she was actually able to right the rover - which wasn't easy - she had no choice, it was either that or walk. The second flip was 60+km from the lander, and the third, right at the anomaly, about 200km from the lander. She (I) literally spent all day today driving there. The rover performed great, and likely can make the trip back unless I proceed with my original plans of putting a base just south of the anomaly. The anomaly by the way, is 'The Face'. It's a lot smaller than I expected it to be, but still pretty cool.

I've a lander on Duna with two crew awaiting a ride back home (lander tipped and crashed on landing). I planted a flag by it. Each time I return to it, I notice the craft is sliding closer and closer to the flag... it's sliding downhill. Goofy game. Also dropped a rover nearby, as planned, to give the two crew something to do. The little rover runs great... maybe a little too great... must remember to keep the speed below 25m/s. It took one bad hop and flip already and busted a headlamp. Thankfully all else about it is ok. Good thing too, because it and the driver are over 50km away from the ship... we're on our way to an anomaly.

My mind keeps putting a handle on the back of this... I keep seeing a child's stroller.

The cat rocks. Is that a touch screen? If you've been having problems with staging... I think I've found it. lol -

Kinda redundant... we've got something going on here already. Maybe the thread should be merged. -
Was never really a big fan of... but still, sad and too young, RIP.

Somewhere, here, in the distant past, we've had this discussion before. My answer has not changed any... coffee. -
Likewise, but more than sorta. 1983, NYC, terrible snowstorm... blizzard. We came in to work, most of us commuting in from NJ. At one point, the boss said we're closing. He left, got his butt stuck somewhere on the road out in Brooklyn or Queens. We camped out at the office; Had food brought in, had 'beverages' brought in, invited a few 'ladies' to our party... we had a grand old time. Boss was furious... not because we had the party, but because he missed it.

I've been running free all my life. I feel sorry for anyone who isn't. Since when did they come up with an actual name / label for this kind of activity? I thought all kids did this kind of stuff. This world is getting goofier by the day.

R&D Center Easter Egg? [WARNING! SPOILERS!]
LordFerret replied to Mr. Peabody's topic in KSP1 Discussion
And I see all of that argument as moot being the original design came from here in the US. The thing is Trademarked, which is different than Copyright. If merely having a trademarked image appear in something is an issue these days, then we're all sunk... that toilet for instance in the blown up VAB, it's a trademark also... and I suppose all the likeness of the rocket parts, gantry, runway, water tower, fuel tanks, etc etc etc etc etc. Being the police call box over there is now referred in common as a 'Tardis', I can't see any argument of using an image of its likeness anywhere unless you make a specific issue that it is an actual Doctor Who Tardis. Imagine the daily royalties. Then again, we're discussing England here. How silly of me. -

LordFerret replied to Mr. Peabody's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I don't see how a common police call box found all over England can be a copyrighted item... at least as far as the Doctor Who show goes. See also... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somerton_TARDIS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TARDIS -

*very heavy sigh* First it was Harry, last Tuesday evening. RIP Harry. They're dropping like flies all around me. Don't get old, it's terrible. This morning it was Ray, my lifelong friend since age 8. Way way way too many miles traveled together. RIP Ray. You beat me. Find and play anything from The Who's Quadrophenia album ... for Ray. -
I find that with stations, it's best to turn all SAS off. Try it. In my world: I still have crew waiting for pickup at Eeloo. Soon. I still have manned missions en-route to Dres. It's all mapped (SCANsat), just waiting on the landers. My assault on Duna continues. I have two crew waiting on return-ride-home arrangements. I've other crewed landers waiting on a place to set down. I've two rovers (rev.2) ready to set down. I've another rover (rev.3) in the works as well. There's also a SCI pod and a HAB pod ready to put down. Just looking for some nice real estate at this point. It's about to get interesting.
