Went and grabbed me an asteroid. It was on a collision course with Kerbin. I've a second one on the way in, just waiting for the right time to go get it. I thought these things had fancy colors in them? Mine is dull gray, looks like clay or paper mache or melted wax or something... weird. Anyway, it's now in orbit around Kerbin. The 'AstroCatch' is still attached to it, the pilot is chillin while the scientist does her thing... whatever that is. She's happy anyway.

i just found some kind of space anomaly in ksp?

Huh? Sacrilege!!! Heretic!!! -
I have run across this also. A minor annoyance. I'm actually here to inquire about documentation. I can't seem to find any, none which answers my question anyway. I have a question about the 'Ordan Industrial KOMMAND-R Pictozoom 2000' telescope. Most of the features are self-explanatory, but I'm at a loss for the following: "Cycle Wheel Mode" and "Toggle RW" Discovered that this 'toggle reaction wheels'. These items are present in the list of options when assigning Action Group keys. Any ideas? Edit: Discovered after a little trial and error. The other is still outstanding, as I don't see any difference in toggling the mode.

If anything, I would think Kandromeda to be fitting? Especially being visible with the naked Kerbal eye. Then again, looking at those BIG eyes on Kerbals, they could likely see far more stars and galaxies than humans. -
I would, but only for evaluation and comparison against what I'd built. If I do rebuild my shuttle again, for sure I will take your suggestion and check out the work of others. Thanks.

Today I decided to abandon my shuttle program. Not happy with it. I was able to get successful launches carrying the payload you see (full tank), but reentry (empty, sans tank) was too much a problem (uncontrollable tumbling) for me to bother with further... I've wasted enough hours on it already. It's a shame really, because flown like a plane from the runway, turn around and glide back in worked perfectly. No doubt left in my mind at this point; This is a game of rockets, not of airplanes.

DAMN AWESOME FAST SPACEPLANE!!!!!!!!!!!

That smells like a challenge. Maybe you should post that as such in: Challenges & Mission ideas -
Heh... I'll join you. My Christmas / New Year rolled into one was a wonderful dinner with some of my lovely Georgian lady-friends. Dinner was as marvelous as the company, we dined at Oda House, and I brought along some select Saperavi (Kakheti) 2008 from my collection.

A good way to demonstrate this would have been to use Celestia. 'Landing' on Earth, and then looking up at the moon when Andromeda is in the sky ... turning up galaxy brightness so to see it. Some day, one of these days, Dr. Schrempp will release Celestia.sci, hopefully before I'm dead. -
How the hell ..... ?!?!?!! Competing with Amazon are we? (http://www.cnbc.com/2016/12/29/amazon-flying-warehouse-deploy-delivery-drones-patent.html) I myself put the relay transport ship in the desired circular orbit, then detach all the relays (three of them) at once... I use that as the Pe position. Then on successive orbits, two of the relays get their orbits changed at the next Pe pass... one gets its Ap increased, the other decreased. After a few orbits the other two relays come into the desired positioning, pretty much, and when they do, on their next approach to the Pe, they get their orbits re-circularized. So far this has worked very well for me, only minor adjustments have been required after many months worth of orbits. I'd been using LV-909 engines on the early relays, since then switching to the IX-6315 Ions; I limit the thrust on them to like 2%, which allows me to make very fine orbit adjustments. I do this all manually; No MechJeb here. Good luck to you!

Working on the shuttle I've built. The ride up is very shaky, control is poor at best, but it does make orbit with a full orange tank for payload. The return trip, empty, is a dream... it glides and flies very nicely. I need to work on the reentry timing, but it's 100% possible to land as a glider on the KSC runway. More pictures will follow once I've got the particulars hammered out.

Yes, this. We've had this discussion here in the forums in the past; I can pick out M31 almost any night there aren't clouds (and it's overhead) here on the east coast of the US. I suggest even a low power pair of binoculars to be of use here. For naked eye viewing, the trick is to not try looking right at it. For those of you living in the southern hemisphere, you can catch glimpses of the Magellanic Clouds. -

That's exactly what it's supposed to be, a distant galaxy. -
I'd be more concerned with them biting my ankles.
-
It would be a slaughter. Consider all the things they allow us to do to them as it is..... I think this sufficiently answers the question.

I built (yet another) a plane and attempted to fly it. Sad, isn't it.
-
Nothing spectacular going on here; Launched a manned ship to intercept a Class D asteroid last night, somewhere around midnight... but I saw Kanta Klaus taking off from Kerbin's north pole to start his rounds on the way up and out.

Candle in the window at midnight. Merry Christmas! შობას გილოცავთ, ალილო!

Just flew 1/3 of the way around the globe to have my jet go into a flat spin in a banking turn, of which there was no recovering from. To say I'm a tad annoyed is an understatement. It would be nice if planes in this game actually flew like airplanes. I keep forgetting this is a rocket simulator, and not anything even remotely close to an airplane flight simulator.

The game has a demo. You should just download it and try it.

I don't care for borscht, so as far as I'm concerned they can all share it.

Don't kid yourself, or let them kid you. The only false news is by and from those claiming there is false news.

Ouch. Been there, done that. That's why I put fore, aft, port and starboard mono jets on my rovers now. (Usually assigned to action keys 5, 6, 7, and 8) with the little engines all pre-staged and the throttle pre-set, they're enabled/disabled as needed. If the rover begins a cartwheel (or roll), a quick tap on/off of the appropriate counter-jet can help correct and save the rover. They also come in handy on steep grades.
