  1. The Red Baron? I had opportunity to watch one take off once, JFK airport NY. Majestic, and L O U D.
  2. I've a few... The B-17, because of an uncle (mom's side) who was a tail gunner in one over Germany during WWII. The P-47 Thunderbolt, because of an uncle (dad's side) who was a fighter pilot in one over Germany during WWII... he was shot down, captured, and was held a prisoner of war until the war ended. He said he was treated very well, because he was a pilot. I have his memoirs... a fascinating read. My favorite though, is the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
  3. Oh my... I just ran across this. lol
  4. Many of these I've seen. Maybe not in their entirety, but at least a good portion of. That's the way it happens sometimes; You stumble across some strange old movies while flipping channels, and it's like, yea, that one. lol From the 60's, NYC area. This was a staple! Then, later on in the 70's...
  5. A request, if I may: In your OP/top-post, can you put a note somewhere of what the current version is? (like now is v0.1.6) Thanks.
  6. I was searching for Chatterer, and a few other mods. I found them all, took me 20 pages worth of viewing / reviewing. I miss the index.
  7. What is going on with these forums? Ever since the Add-on Releases section got purged of a bunch of threads, including the valuable 'index', of which we're now told there is no hope of recovering, now I can't perform any searches for mods. Executing a search takes me to a completely blank-white page... nada, nothing, zippo. I think you have a problem, Houston.
  8. I've seen an ox-acet rig go, although I don't know if it was from oil on any fittings. Pretty wild. Also seen the head knocked off a big nitrogen tank... very Kerbal-like rocket. Duck! The reason is a matter of record, and a part of the history of all this. An earlier test pilot died as a result of a bad oxygen/nitrogen (I think it was, don't quote me) mix, so it was decided to use pure oxygen. Remember, we didn't know too much about this stuff back then... just like your first few KSP rockets you built - we lost a few.
  9. That is correct (Kranz), a single source of ignition was never resolved. If you Wiki search 'Apollo 1', it actually has a decent synopsis of the events; Search NASA history for more detailed writings.
  10. I remember the day. Salute gentlemen. RIP https://phys.org/news/2017-01-nasa-apollo-capsule-hatch-years.html
  11. SCANsat is the way to go (IMO). #1, you gain science from completing a scan. #2, good exercise in attaining a polar orbit. And, #3, you get a nice map which you can export to, like, a high resolution PNG file; plus you can control the colors; plus when you put your cursor over areas SCANsat will tell you about the biome and slope and such (from which you can generate a legend). It's a great tool. The only downside to generating such maps, is that, invariably, the bodies will change (the biomes) whenever SQUAD feels like updating them or cleaning them up (the terrain). Seems to me almost every update contains some manner of change to at least one or more bodies. None-the-less, I'll reiterate, it's a great tool to have.
  12. Couldn't be more true; along with Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, etc etc etc
  13. No no no. It has an inclined orbit, that's why you don't see it on the same level of image panels. Moho isn't there either.
  14. I don't recall seeing much of it broadcast, at least not on the networks offered me here. There was a time I remember when the NFL went on strike, and in substitution they put Australian football up, which was interesting. I watched it just to see the little guy in the hat run out into the end zone with hands up... kinda goofy. "a discoloration of seawater caused by a bloom of toxic red dinoflagellates." yep
  15. Mine was the PC version. I still have the floppy (somewhere). Not too too long ago I had it running on my old Compaq portable (all 30-some-odd-lbs of it), 4 inch green mono screen. My favorite bug in V1.0 was to roll over and dive inverted... you'd gain altitude like mad lol.
  16. lol ... Patrick's (from SpongeBob) distant relatives!
  17. I do, and no. My introduction to FS was with Bruce Artwick's v1.0 ... it's come a long way.
  18. Yes, I was just wondering your opinion of those issues. That's all. @StupidAndy brought up a good one also. I never did see the logic of that one. Celebration equated to taunting. What's wrong with taunting? Oh, wait, we might hurt someone's feelings. ROFL!
  19. The Netherlands isn't alone in that respect. FIFA! But I must admit; I do love watching FIFA. Hummm... maybe wars should be fought instead via FIFA??? lol Let me throw this at you, the issue of facemasking... First is the current counter action, the clear plastic shield some have started wearing to further protect the face - and I understand it prevents someone from grabbing a hold of the faceguard. Your opinion. Second, the idea of simply removing the faceguard entirely. Back in 'the old days' of leather helmets, there were no faceguards - and no facemasking. Your opinion. And lastly, those sticky grip gloves. I see nearly all receivers wearing them these days (college ball anyway, do they also in the NFL?)... and they still drop the ball lol. Frankly I'm surprised there isn't a ruling against them (or has there been that I'm not aware?). Your opinion.
  20. Bah, forget those 'War Turkeys' lol Alabama! Wahoo! ...although Clemson upset my boat this year, big time. What were those boys thinking?!? Slacking off like that. *shakes head* No, eh? You should think that one over twice. I could introduce you to a few who would change your mind right quick. Nice intentional headbutt, roughing the passer; 15 yards penalty - automatic first down. Total dirtbag player. Poor example. I refuse to watch NFL (too many pansy rules, college ball is better), and not when you've got the likes of Colin Kaepernick and his comments and charades going on ... but then, what else would one expect from a man named 'colon'.
  21. I don't kill Kerbals..... they die in 'accidents'.......... accidentally.
