  2. Never happy. Ever. It's really kinda old now Marclev, it really is. So, let's talk about a few things shall we? 1. Your first rockets without gimbaled engines and control surfaces will do no more than go straight up. This is something you'll simply have to deal with and accept that the contracts will auto-update with a lot of base "record" contracts for you to break. I ended up with 500,000 funds and plenty of science after two launches. 2. You want the game to just do things for you, like put something in the right stage instead of you doing it? Hand holding silver platter much? 3. You have to upgrade the tracking station before you get that data. Again, this is on you to learn and part of progression. 4. yes, it does. 5. because those contracts are auto-accepted "records" contracts, they will go away. In short, 100% of your complaints are pretty much on your shoulders bud.
  3. +1 Bad Bug Report contains, "dis her ting is brokens yo, fix it bad dev!" Good Bug Reports contains: Specifics, screenshots, ways to reproduce, exactly what you were doing when it happened in detail..etc
  4. Also, heat management, power management, weight..etc... the ISRU is a massive investment and I see myself adding it to orbital platforms instead of surface drillers. Anywho, maybe another part for xenon?
  5. Exactly! All you need is the basics of rules and systems. With heat management, and electrical issues...these mining vessels become massive engineering challenges. I love it!
  6. Why this bugs you, is something that just blows my mind. It's a game...
  7. You're asking FAR to much here. It's about game-play, and performance, not what's 10000% realistic.
  8. You lot are never happy are you? No matter what the devs put in the game, someone has SOMETHING to say about how broken, wrong, or cheaty it is. This is why I've not been on the forums for months on end. Not only has asteroid mining been talked about at length (see here: http://triplehelixblog.com/2015/03/space-gold-the-economic-feasibility-of-asteroid-mining/ and the references) but mining the moon has been a topic of discussion for some time as well, http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/news/article/Lamar-professor-talks-moon-mining-6178068.php http://www.chinatopix.com/articles/41676/20150310/moon-mining-company-send-robot.htm http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/197784-china-is-going-to-mine-the-moon-for-helium-3-fusion-fuel Now, just because it's one part to refine "ore" in to "anything we need" it's now a cheat and unrealistic? It might just be, but do you know what makes a good resources system? Check the tag line for Kethane.. Find It Mine It Burn It That's it. Systems and gameplay to find the resource? Check. Systems and Gameplay to gather the resource? Check. Systems and gameplay to change that resource into usable things? Check. Finally? Systems and play to store the resource and anything that can be made from it. Also check. Find it, mine it, refine it, store it. This is good game design people. A basic enough resource system that adds gameplay and features that many people (myself included) have wanted in the game for a very, very long time. If you don't want to use this? You don't have to. Use Kethane when it's updated or any mods that add or change the system when it goes live. Problem solved. But I for one plan to use this system and I congratulate RD on a great, simple, system that adds plenty of content and game-play options.
  9. Heh, the warm welcomes keep coming, thanks guys,
  10. I am yes. That was me. I really enjoyed doing that.
  11. Thanks for the warm welcomes to the return guys. My time with Team KSP is long past and over, and working with them was an amazing part of my life that I'll always cherish. For now, I'm just a gamer wanting to enjoy a great game and a great community with great people in it. Great to hear Cap is back about as well. Also, heya Sal, it has been a long time, As for streams and videos? I'd like to return to being a "member" of this community as a player doing that stuff, but we'll have to see.
  12. Yeah, former CM way back when. I miss being a part of this team, but I'm here now to congratulate them on a massive job well done on what looks to be the best update yet. I've not played in some time, so I can't wait to get back to it.
  13. So I doubt any of the new crowd knows anything about me, but at one time I enjoyed being a part of the KSP team and making a great set of friends. 1.0, seems to be the ultimate culmination of everything I dreamed KSP would become when I started playing back in 0.8. So, maybe just maybe I might come back to playing KSP and loving it with some videos and streams. We'll have to wait and see though. What's everyone's thoughts on 1.0 at the moment? The new fairings, female kerbals, resources system, heat and aerodynamics upgrades..this has to be thee single largest update to the game ever and I can't wait to get back to it.
  14. I'd very much like to speak with the team leader or lead programmer of this project, please contact me via PM. -DR
  15. I'd like to speak to the team leader of this project, please PM me.
  16. I did the best I could with what I had friend, I take no offense. I still care a great deal about this community and this game. I still wish my former teammates all the best and all the success in the world, for it is most deserved.
  17. Now this is awesome...need to add this to my must haves list.
