What's your favorite day in "The Daily Kerbal?'
Norpo replied to Yellowburn10's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Modding mondays, simply because i'm not huge on the versioning hype train, I prefer to be surprised to an extent, so I don't really read dev notes, only skim through them. Also, mods are great. -
[11/26/15 Update] Say Hello to the Light-Green Group!
Norpo replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
I bumped up Beale to light green, welcome! -
Granted. Time travel (faster than the norm) is it's own punishment, it's too dang complicated with all it's tenses and interference and... Oh, oops, it's March 100 AD. I wish for a cookie. (I couldn't think of anything better on the spot, okay!?)

I haven't found any specifics, but the Memory Alpha page says "The planet was described as being only marginally larger than Earth." It also says "The planet has a single large land mass, and the planet is dominated by a vast ocean. The tilt of the planet's axis has created wild seasonal changes and the atmosphere should appear turbulent and showing extremes of both warm and frigid weather on the planet." Also, is this with Praxis, or without Praxis? In the alternate reality (JJ abrams movies), it was a moon destroyed by over-mining, and the debris poisoned Qo'Nos' atmosphere (according to Memory Alpha) It is a class M planet, which, according to Memory Alpha: "The atmosphere on these worlds was Earth normal. The atmosphere, as measured in milibars, might be slightly less or slightly more." From this we can discern: in at least one reality, at one time, it had a natural satellite, and it was the only one it had it's marginally larger than earth, has an ocean, and an atmosphere similar to earths. it is a planet of extremes, with warm and frigid tempetures, thus life may have to adapt to match Hope this helps!

7/10, Solely consists of quotes, but good quotes

Because the sun was over there, and it's very well known that kerbals are attracted to shiny objects. (See description text for Moho)
-
Banned because that was in the past, and we can't all hold grudges for that long, now can we?
-
Fair warning: Moho is somewhat easy to get to (certainly harder than Duna, though), but you'll spend a LOT of fuel slowing down if you want to get to orbit. Probably not the easiest target.

Launch button on 'Construction Basics' training
Norpo replied to Mast's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Man, you can never have a button without someone pressing it. -
As many know, there are tutorials on the wiki, and these are extremely helpful, especially for those who learn better from written tutorials, rather than videos (Or can't/hard to watch videos, due to bandwith restrictions, slow internet etc.) It's also a centralized source, with a common format. I learnt from the wiki tutorials and Scott Manley videos, mostly. And let's face it, the wiki is the primary, official source of information on KSP, so it should be as complete as possible. Especially with the game coming out of early access soon. Thus, I propose that we should try to get as many tutorials as possible on the Wiki, a good starting point would be a "land there and back" tutorial for every body (Including moons!) So far, these are the gaps I know of for planets/moons, based off of what's in the tutorial list. Bop (moon of Jool, advanced-ish, might want to make a generalized tutorial for all jool's moons, jool-moon hopping) Vall (jool) Tylo (Jool, special moon, exceptionally massive) Pol (jool) Moho (planet, so high priority) Gilly (Eve, special moon, exceptionally small) Ike (Duna, one could argue this is almost exactly like going to the Mun) Other tutorials I think might be a good idea: Career mode (this tutorial is okay, but it's mostly early-game, and "rocket surgery" is no longer viable with the parts limit, or funds) Funds management (basically, how to be efficient, know which contracts to pick. NONE of the current tutorials have "funds" or "fund" in their name, and ONE has "career", the aforementioned one. Perhaps split into two tutorials, basic (use SRBS) and advanced (use recoverable spaceplanes)) Tutorials that may need reworking: Making an asset from start to finish: [link] (Doesn't cover unity at ALL, which is essential for making anything more complicated than a structural part.) Useful links: The tutorials category on the wiki FAQ: Q: Norpo, why don't you write these yourself: A: That's not where my skills lie, at all. Trust me. Watching me write a tutorial is like (insert analogy here). Writing isn't where my skills lie. Proofreading for grammar/spelling is, however, so I mainly do that on the wiki. If you take on the project of making one of these tutorials, or have an idea, or something that should be added to a list, please let me know through posting on this thread (or PM!)

Anyone casually observing a room could see someone in a giant yellow chicken suit.[citation needed]

A plane (carrying cargo)? EDIT: Or a rocket.

Nova scotia, Canada. (Like the USA, but with more snow. And tim hortons.)

Great pod, i'm absolutely terrible at texturing, so I could never make something that looks that great
-
Didn't look at the demo, but the website looks great And yeah, some information on the game would be nice, is it a sandbox? physics? puzzle? shoot-em' up? ...or has it not gotten that far yet? EDIT: Played the game, because i'm not suspicious of 6th graders who made a website having a virus and the readme looked OK. For anyone wondering it's basically "WASD to move, space to jump" and a lit grey room. Bare essentials, but you gotta start somewhere, I suppose.

10/10, awesome craft building guy

Don't bring a katana to a phaser fight. The only thing more dangerous than a laser sword... is a laser gun!
-
*posts in this thread for first time in a week* Nope. Zekes.
-
The reason I play KSP? It's fun. Crazy concept, I know!
-
Probably some guy who edited their config file to have an engine put out Absurd Amounts of thrust. Oh, publicly released mod? I have no idea, I wasn't around that early.

Something tells me that because they don't have dead eyes, or a metal spike driven through their neck, and there's been numerous parodies of Frankenstien's monster over the ages, that it should be okay. Also, the original book was written nearly 200 years ago EDIT: Also, the character that looked the most like the monster was the original Mortimer Kerman, and they changed him.
