  1. A better way to dock vessels on the ground is needed. This must have been suggested before but I failed to find relevant threads. The claw is a poor option because connection is temperamental and requires multiple ramming attempts to get it to connect with each impact a risk of breaking something. I'd like to see a docking option that doesn't require physical connection by using an engineer to connect a tube between two vessels but I'd also accept a way in the VAB/SPH to ensure that docking ports are the same distance from the ground. The problem with that is that weight affects the compression of the suspension of landing gear/wheels and transferring fuel changes weights. Fixing the claw to connect more reliably would also work.
  2. I have to repeatedly ram vessels together at between 0.3-1.0 m/s to try to get the claw to connect. I can't determine a pattern to predict when it will work and when it won't and having to reload a save because a solar panel was knocked off on attempt #15 is a pain.
  3. How do I know whether my orbit is perfectly equatorial? I'd like my refuelling station to be as close as reasonably possible <0.1 degrees.
  4. Okay, but how does this relate to positioning them in the VAB? Is the left in the VAB the same as left on a launched vessel?
  5. How about now? I notice that the round light next to the altimeter changes colours.
  6. If I want the lights on my vessel to be red and green in the way they're used for real-life aircraft to indicate left and right, which lights should be red and which green for default placement and view in the VAB?
  7. CH-J3 Fly-By-Wire Avionics Hub is basically the same as all the other unmanned control computers and shouldn't be put in the same group IMO.
  8. Crewed vessels have a useful radar altimeter but computer-piloted ones does not and this is a glaring issue for me landing sometimes with limited fuel.
  9. I can't slow my vessel (chutes deployed, engine full power) below 8 m/s and it's destroyed on splashdown at this speed. If I land instead of splashdown, will the landing legs be destroyed and save the rest of the vessel or will the whole thing be destroyed?
  10. Sometimes only intersect 1 (orange) is shown and sometimes intersect 2 (magenta) is shown as well. Is this correct behaviour? If so, why can't intersect 2 be shown? Sometimes it comes and goes and I can't figure out a pattern.
  11. I would like it if KSP automatically sent crash reports/logs instead of relying on users to find out what the procedure is to file reports manually. I think they'd get much more data that way.
  12. OP didn't say that. If that's all they want then sure, they can be happy and that's great but if they think they're going to be the next Scott Manley they're likely to be frustrated. I was discouraging them to save them from wasting their time (and I'm surprised that isn't obvious).
  13. Fine, if you enjoy making the videos then go for it but anyone who tells you your channel has a chance of success is just setting you up for disappointment. CodeFantastic is doing you no favours.
  14. I have three vessels in close proximity. I want to target one of them while controlling another. Unfortunately the third ship is in the way while in the map view so I can't select the correct ship to target. Is there a way to deal with this other than accelerating one of the ships away and warping time until its far enough away?
  15. Are there any current dramatic alarm mods?
  16. Yeah but that doesn't work if you're simultaneously filling from multiple to multiple. That only work for from single to multiple or from multiple to single. It's also a chore when you have 10 or more tanks involved.
  17. I would find it a lot more convenient to transfer as much fuel as possible from one side of a connection (claw or docking port) to the other instead of selecting the fuel tanks and doing each transfer individually. Currently it's not possible to fill two tanks from four tanks at the same time and it must be done in two separate options with some thumb twiddling in between.
  18. Shouldn't I be allowed to dump ore in a pile? Currently my tanks are full and so time is being wasted that could be used to drill for ore even though I can't process it right now.
  19. That's weird. I thought systems were more stable when underclocked.
  20. "Revert to VAB" is probably my most used feature in the game!
  21. I read that small satellites can be launched from the ISS using robotic arms but my expectation from having played KSP is that the orbit of the satellite will then be very similar to that of the ISS. Do satellites launched in this way have their own propulsion to adjust their orbits? I read that the film Gravity was unrealistic because the orbits of satellites are far lower than the ISS. Some of the satellites, called "CubeSats" are just four inches cubed! Even so, flicking it away with the robotic arm (I have no idea whether that's what they actually do - I would have expected the arm to move very slowly) will only affect the other side of the orbit.
  22. I also wish for these (configurable) alarms.
