  1. If I\'d wanted to use F2, I would have. Instead, I left the GUI up, and closed the nav-con. Can we please talk about the spacecraft?
  2. (Just because I\'ve had two people raging at me the entire evening over my using print screen rather than F1, I\'ve decided to test it to see which I prefer through experience. Therefore, the screenshots will be F1ed.) The VA Sparrow is a Short/Vertical Take Off & Landing spaceplane, designed solely for military operations. It can be outfitted with railguns or missiles, and it capable of vertical landing with its unusually stable RCS. However, due to high weight, the craft must be slowed to under 12 m/s to prevent impact breakup with standard landing gear. This is achieved by firing the forward-facing retros. The Sparrow as standard The Sparow rigged with railguns, RCS thrusters shown The Sparrow rigged with four missiles, eah with independant launch.
  3. The Albatross is a heavy duty long-range spacecraft, which, it must be said, handles like the Red October. With a huge fuel capacity, and space for a large cargo bay, it has a far greater capability than the Sparrowhawk, but its military implications are limited. It is possible that it could be used for Mun missions.
  4. Since I don\'t take too many screenshots, it doesn\'t bother me. And please stop derailing peoples\' threads just to argue your case for not using print screen.
  5. -Prt Scrn -Open image editor -Paste -Save -Upload image to Internet -Copy URL and past to KSP forum. I don\'t feel persuaded to do it differently.
  6. It doesn\'t actually need the SRBs. They just make orbital entry that much faster. But anyhoo, I landed by the island and powered myself up and onto it. The screenshot shows only one landing gear on the ground, but it did have all three.
  7. You\'re putting emphasis on the wrong point. The main reason I use print screen is because its easier.
  8. The VA Goshawk. S/VTOL. Although it uses SRBs as a first stage, the spaceplane itself is fully built from C7 parts, and can reach the island with fuel to spare. This craft got me the closest yet. However, it suffered an RCS malfunction, unrelated to fuel, just before landing. The retros failed to fire, and it crashed.
  9. I like taking screenshots with print screen. Aside from it being easier, it also shows whats going on in the background. People know you aren\'t using cheat programs, and that you have other things you could be doing.
  10. My VA Goose usually flips out when you engage the thrusters. Though mostly only when you\'re trying to bank. Its actually a two stage S/VTOL dropship, though so far I haven\'t had much success with the S/VTOL stage, because the cannards don\'t affect its flight path enough, and I need to use as little RCS gas as possible for use when landing.
  11. Weird. In the image where the spaceplane has landed, Bill and Bob are smiling, but Jeb is disturbed.
  12. I don\'t think I have NovaPunch or Jelly\'s weapons.
  13. KSP won\'t open the Falcon\'s .CRAFT file. I noticed it won\'t open some of my older ones. When did you build this?
  14. And because that\'s not a plane, its an ekranoplan. The image shows the Caspian Sea Monster, a russian built an designed \'aircraft\' which utilises ground effect to sort of hover just above the surface of whatever its on. The wings are too stubby for takeoff, and that\'s a design feature. You couldn\'t make a spaceplane from that.
  15. VA Kestrel, cap[able of powering itself in just one stage, all the way to Mun, and then land with RCS. I\'m planning to add an Ascent Stage to take the shuttle out of atmosphere, so it will retain more fuel. As of my first successful Munar landing [with fuel to spare], it does not have enough fuel or RCS gas to escape Mun\'s gravity.
  16. Print Screen is quicker, and gives more proof you didn\'t photoshop it or whatever. Oh, and there is a weaponised version of this which acts as an interceptor. It still glides well, and it can fly ages on only gliding and RCS, so the fuel consumption isn\'t such a problem.
  17. I\'m not up to speed with all the possible acronyms. Only today I found our RCS stood for Reaction Control System [didn\'t google it.] What\'s IE?
  18. Good to hear. I still play, though only really for City Cruise and Keth Shipyards.
  19. I\'ve nrever felt the need to move the tower, since any of my ships wide enough to do that explode violently. Its a touch game, but half the fun is learning how to stop your ropckets exploding. The other half is watching them explode.
  20. Of course, HAL never says that in either the book or the film.
