There are plenty of mods and add ons to choose from that are made by the community, some even add features like these. If you come up with an idea, but don't see any mods for it, you can recommend the idea, or even make a mod yourself, the possibilities are endless. Welcome to the forums

Not much happened, another waiting to be manned lander has been sent to Iota, waiting for "Hercules 6". At least 3 probes where sent to map the surface of Iota and Ceti, while a lander/probe was sent to Tellumo (a ringed eve sized kerbin in duna's orbit), a probe would orbit and do science while a lander made out of a scrapped body of a Science JR would (hopefully) land on Tellumo. Finally, Iota 2, the first probe to fly close by Iota and get good amounts of science (and serve as a relay) flew by Iota once more, placing it into a sub-orbital trajectory that would cause it to slam into Gael's atmosphere. With no way to fix this, KSC said goodbye to the important early probe.

Sometimes I randomly type keys in and edit it to get a name. I started this when i found a bug where naming a vessel would reverse the letters (so that apollo becomes ollopa), and with the default "untitled space craft", gave me the name Gidat.

[1.12] Extraplanetary Launchpads v6.99.3
MrWalrus123 replied to taniwha's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I have a question, are resources and work stations needed if I have a launch pad on Kerbin? -
They don't want to announce the release date, they'll only say their progress, and then give an exact date a week before at most. They do this so they don't end up feeling pressured if they don't finish it in time. Most people (including me, and I'm sure you too) would rather have it late and polished than early and unfinished.

Hercules 4 became the first mission(s) to land a kerbal on Iota. I always used the direct approach method on Iota/Mun missions, but I wanted a challenge. First a lander is sent up to an orbit around Iota It goes to Iota, with the transfer stage left on Then the crewed Hercules CSM goes up to Iota, with enough fuel to dock to the LM About to dock Leaving for Iota Note next time I'll probably just do a direct approach, or I'll do something in-between, but when I send Kerbals to Ceti (like Minmus but Mun sized), I'll probably have to use this method.

[1.2.2] Stock Part Revamp, Update 1.9.6. Released Source Files!
MrWalrus123 replied to Ven's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I don't know if it's been reported yet, but when I switch out of a scene with a vessel with an engine adapter, the adapter disappears. -
Ive been to the mun (and iota for Galileo's planet pack), and since i had a contract for a docking around Iota, I figured I would do the Iota/Mun missions more like the apollo/soviet style. This is a Hercules CSM docked to an inflatable habitat station. bonus

I'm also a mac user, sometimes when I install mods, they don't fully load or load at all. Usually I just uninstall the mod and install it again.

Sorry if this exists already I noticed that there seems to be a lot of people who make blueprints for their crafts, and even though it's fan art, I feel like it deserves it's own thread. So I decided to create this thread so that people can share their own blueprints of their unique (or regular) planes, space stations rockets, ect. Tools I use: Kronal Vessel Viewer Continued Gimp NOTE: Other than the blueprints, please limit screenshots to one per craft

Doing a Galileo's planet pack career game. Got a contract to transfer crew between two vessels in orbit around Iota (the analoug for the Moon/Mün, but smaller). I figured I would test an idea of putting a small probe with an inflatable hab module that can seat two, and send up a Gemini like capsule to it, thus starting the "Hercules" Program. BONUS Yesterday, I also did my first docking for that save, with an "Explorer" capsule, and a probe named RT-1

Actually I don't use an operating system, I print out the entire code for the game and do the math by hand. I then use wool socks and a carpet to generate static electricity I use to shock the pins of an HDMI cable hooked up to a 4k monitor to generate my screenshots. [edit] apperantly i have OSX 10.11.6

My theory (which is similar to matt's) is that a species similar to Kerbals had colonies all over the Kerbol system, as an experiment, they placed creatures similar to them (think of humans and chimps) on the only planet they had not inhabited in their system to see how they could evolve, Kerbin. They hoped that not only could these creatures create a civilization that they could interact with, but one that could also be their successor. Eventually the large civilization collapsed as their planet got flung out of it's original orbit... casted out into the great vacuum of space. And with that, the proto-kerbals evolved to create an "intelligent" civilization. This explains all of the easter eggs, as well as the possibility of laythe's oceans The monoliths where markers and observers, imprinted with the ensign of the civilization. Fast foward to modern Ferbin, the Kerbals find these monoliths around Kerbin, and they become a symbol of exploration (not knowing of both the kerbals and monolith's origins)

It's basically the stock Hexagon flag, but made to look like the USAF roundel (feel free to use it if you want) the actual USAF roundel for comparison
