[1.4] SpaceY Heavy-Lifter Parts Pack v1.17.1 (2018-04-02)
blowfish replied to NecroBones's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@RegalPlatypus I recall that being a symptom of not installing Module Manager -
The stock settings are optimized for re-entry on Kerbin, so it's unsurprising that a larger planet has issues. Maybe try RealHeat.

[1.0.2] B9 Aerospace | Procedural Parts 0.40 | Updated 09.06.15
blowfish replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Okay, back up a bit. Did you install from the OP and then install Crzyrndm's fork on top of that? Because the fork doesn't include the actual part definitions or assets. -
[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
blowfish replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
FAR (usually) only cares about the collider, which you don't see. And the places where degenerate triangles are likely to occur are usually in high detail areas that you won't look at too closely. Sometimes it's a zero area triangle that you wouldn't be able to see anyway. I can't tell just by looking at your logs what model is causing it. I'd recommend placing parts in the editor one by one and watching the debug output. When you find it, report to the author.- 14,073 replies

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
blowfish replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
If you're getting errors about degenerate triangles, that's something the author of that particular model has to fix. I do see a couple of exceptions related to FAR, but given the number of other exceptions in there, it's likely caused by another mod. At any rate, even if it is FAR, it would be impossible to find the error as it is - you will need to reproduce with a much smaller mod list.- 14,073 replies

[1.2.2] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.2.1 (Old Thread)
blowfish replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The ships won't work because the airbrakes are missing though. I suppose you could copy over the airbrakes from the 5.2.8 release too, but they will not work.- 4,460 replies

It's possible that calling OnStart() again on ModuleRCS will cause it to reload the transforms. Might have unintended side effects though.

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
blowfish replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
They have ModuleLiftingSurface, and no patch to remove it in the presence of FAR.- 14,073 replies

@Van Disaster you might also want to check that it is voxelizing correctly once FAR is installed correctly. Many of bac9's new parts have non-solid colliders, which is fine for Unity physics because they're marked as convex, but FAR only sees the raw mesh data. They might need a patch to set forceUseMeshes = true in FAR's GeometryPartModule.- 14,073 replies

[1.2.2] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.2.1 (Old Thread)
blowfish replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ah right, forgot about the airbrake. It's broken right now, and I can't figure out how to fix it. So I guess the craft won't be loadable for the time being. Sorry.- 4,460 replies

[1.2.2] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.2.1 (Old Thread)
blowfish replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
They haven't been updated or tested in a very long time. I was considering removing them from the repository but decided against it (however, they are not included in the download). There's a good chance they'll mostly work, particularly in stock aero, but I make no guarantees- 4,460 replies

[1.2.2] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.2.1 (Old Thread)
blowfish replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You should be fine if you only have B9. Even with a lot of mods, running in OpenGL or D3D11 mode is often enough. Things are a lot better since KSP started allowing DDS textures. Yeah. FAR is still recommended, but things should work OK in stock aero. As victor tan said, you have to download the HX and legacy packs separately from Bitbucket. They're now optional. No. But you can download the 5.3.0 prerelease from Bitbucket, which should work on 1.0.4- 4,460 replies

[1.2.2] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.2.1 (Old Thread)
blowfish replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Can't replicate. Try attaching the gear on the other side or clicking "flip side" in the tweakables. You can edit the two config files in B9_Aerospace/Props/B9_Bar_Indicator. Replace strings like SYSR_OXIDIZER with what you want (RPM parses the resource names out of them). This is an area of RPM I really don't know that well. You might have to do some digging.- 4,460 replies

[1.2.2] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.2.1 (Old Thread)
blowfish replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Heating at the same mach number should be the same in both modes. I didn't test extensively, so it's possible that the "max design speed" doesn't quite match the actual max speed. In other news, with Olympic1's help, CKAN's metadata has been updated, so 5.4.0 should be available within a couple of days. The HX and legacy packs will follow at some point.- 4,460 replies

[1.2.2] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.2.1 (Old Thread)
blowfish replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The heating is semi-intentional, but I thought I toned it down. Can you tell me what mach number that is? Heating is based on mach number rather than speed, and the speed of sound varies with altitude somewhat.- 4,460 replies

Did you say that pod is 2.5m? The docking port looks smaller than I would expect, but maybe it's just the perspective.
