Great mod, but my only concern is if this is compatible with KSP 64K as of yet. I'd quite like to get back to the better Duna, but if it doesn't scale with the rest of the Kerbol System I'll hold off on installing it. Cheers

Tried this out. Initial results are promising. I'm seeing CPU Usage Hover at around 20%,, far below the previous 80-100% before EDIT: I am using KSP 1.1.3, Around 80 mods Installed

Has anyone else attempted a mission to these outer planets(specifically Sarnus) in the 6.4x rescale? I'm finding it to be a ridiculous challenge. Aside from gravity assists, which I'm having trouble with because my KSPTOT install is bugging out about a rescale and extra planets, I can't think of any way to complete the mission. I've got launch vehicles capable of direct injection, but I don't have enough delta-v to slow down. I know Cassini-Hyugens did an orbit insertion burn of 626 m/s, but this rescale, which is smaller than the actual solar system, is making me expend massive amounts of delta-v to enter orbit, even from an extremely high altitude, into a highly eccentric orbit, its anywhere from 1700-6000(most often closer to 6000) m/s. Ugh. Damn me and my love of realism mods.

There appears to be a bug with the Fischer-Tropsch Processor. Whenever I attempt to attach it via either node, that node disappears, the part doesn't attach, and when I flip it around to attach via the other node, the same thing happens. Edit: I'm attempting to fix the problem in the .cfg file. Will let you know how it goes. Edit 2: Fixed the problem. There is a line in the .cfg file that should read +PART, but instead reads @PART. Just a simple typo. Fixed Config

We are not disputing that the first stage crashed, minutes after separating from the main craft, mind you. We are talking about the technical classification of whether or not a mission was a success or failure. The distinct guidelines that have been set forth by space flight organizations, public and private, is that if the payload is placed successfully in the desired orbit, the mission is a success.

That's irrelevant. The primary mission goal was achieved. All mission have primary and secondary goals. Conducting a powered landing of the first stage was one of the secondary goals of the mission. Not sure if there were any more, but primary was still achieved.

That's a good point. I'm glad someone actually replied to this thread. But still, a very sad day. It is always heartbreaking to see something that has had so much time effort and love put into it not perform well.

Hey all, was just watching the launch on my way home form my run. I'm honestly surprised that this happened. I don't like speculating, but in my opinion the failure might have been an improperly fitted fairing on the dragon capsule, as that's where the smoke plume originated from. Considering that with the fact that the rocket was under going peak dynamic pressure, i think this is a sound theory. I dont have a degree in physics or engineering, they generally don't hand those out to high schoolers, but based off of what i know i think this might be the case. On average, how many iteration should the computation take? I've started optimizing my coast, but I'm at 150 iterations and counting.

Update: I have tried to follow your instructions about multi flybys, to the letter, but I am continually met with discontent and failure. I would appreciate it if you were to put together more comprehensive tutorials regarding the features of your software. I am currently trying to create a Kerbin-Eve-Duna flyby, ending in a mapping satellite above Duna. My problem comes when attempting to input the departure burn information into MA. When I then create an event to coast to periapse at eve, I am simply met with the spacecraft's final parent body as the Sun. I believe that I don't understand the mission optimizer, which you reference as being THE tool to make sure that my burn creates a trajectory heading for Eve. Yet, when I attempt to optimize for central body, I am left with an orbit exactly the same as my initial orbit. I really want to use this tool to create awesome missions, but I feel that this is a far off goal without proper instructions
