I will look for it. Thank you.

Thank you. I have been away for some time from the forums and the game. Usually when I came back to play KSP, the first thing I do after install the game again, is go mod hunting. I have basically all the mods in my head and when a new release of the game come out, I know it takes several weeks until all my mods are compatible. Looking at the USI mod threads would be a long process and when I go into the USI site, the mods are 1.8. I know many mods keep working after a game update, so I just try a couple and hope for the best, but since the USI mods are way more complex I avoid installing them until I am sure they do not mess with the game. Anyway, thank you again for letting me know the mods are compatible with 1.10. Also, what part is that I need to delete?

Hey all. It is very hard for me to play KSP without the mods from RoverDude. I love most of the mods of USI. Anyone knows what is going on with RoverDude? I know he become part of the KSP team but it has been a while since I hang around here. I just came back to play KSP since it got the 1.10 update, I got basically most of my mods working but it seams USI mods have not been updated since 1.8. If RoverDude is still around, can you give us some info mate? Hope all is well. Thank you.

Sorry to say but I think you are beating in a dead horse. We "the community" are not strong enough to cause a dent in the sales of KSP2. Also I do not care what the hell they are doing internally since we do not have all the info. For what it concerns me, Star Theory wanted more money and Take Two just got p****d at them....or not. The fact is, we do not know. Unless a representative of both companies came into these forums and explain what is going on (dream on) ethics or lack of it, that will not stop me for buying the game. When KSP 1 was available, I looked at the game and thought it was not worth my time. I got a copy from a friend of mine at V.025 and discovered the game and the modding community. Suffice to say, that was enough for me to buy the game at very early stage and support Squad. If KSP2 comes out "dumbed" down for 5 year old kids with consoles to play, then probably I will not buy the game. If KSP 2 stays faithful to the original in terms of gameplay and mod support, I could not care less about the ethics that were employed on the developers. If those ethics were/are bad, it is those people that should go into a court of law and solve the issue. Also, even if every member in this forum did not buy the game, thousands of people would that do not even care about the community or mods. Let's also not forget that KSP has a big follow outside the gaming community as a tool of education, it is not by chance the game even is mentioned and used at NASA and in schools for purposes of education. I am with you in your anger and frustration because of recent news, but, like I mentioned, we do not know the full history. Also about DLC's, no video gaming company in the world does not contemplate DLC's. Even Squad put out DLC's. I am all favor of DLC's when to support the devs, not to feed greedy companies. If that is the case, then I would not probably by the game from Take 2, and probably would get the game by "other means". Also, you are fighting a lost battle against Take 2, since this is a 1.5 billion dollar company with subsidiary's like 2K, Rockstar and Private Division. I do not see poeple stop buying GTA5 because of low ethics. I do not see people stop buying Star Games from EA because of ethics. The world is complicated enough and we human race, rarely come together for a common goal. I would be more worried if Take 2 cut my ability to buy food and drink, but since they cannot do that, I will judge the game when it comes out and decide if I will give my money to them or not. EA is way worse, and the last game I bought from EA was Command & Conquer Tiberium Wars. Gamers have more reason to hate EA then any other company. Still, you have my "moral" support and this is not a critic to you or anyone else, this is just the way I think, you might agree with it or not, but that is what you must realize that different people have different opinions even if we do not agree with them.

TL/DR I am sure many people from this wonderful community already pointed out many things that I wish to see on KSP2. KSP 1 teach us a lot of orbital mechanics (at least for people that did not understand it fully) but in a way, not 100% realistic. I hope KSP 2 have at least a mode where these things could be more real. Anyway, in hopes that the devs see this, here is my "small" wish list: Proper life support realistic radiation management realistic heat damage proper physics engine in all environments even better editor then KSP 1 (which is great already) Stability, stability, stability no bugs (I know this one is pretty hard) mod support as easy as we have it now or even better No DRM !!! No milking the community with endless DLC's by providing half of the game Logical career progression proper exploration (maybe adding some random stuff or / and procedural stuff making KSP 2 unique for each player quests, missions, whatever you wanna call it, something that makes sense proper science instead of "fly, click, repeat" Listen to the community (maybe the most important thing from everything else) Talking about the community, good communications between devs and the community Proper solar system (I saw some weird stuff in the trailer, I know it is pretty soon, but planets with the line day/nigh from pole to pole is weird unless some planet is on a 90º degree angle from the rest Variety in the worlds, not just endless flat land with fake rocks. difficulty levels for noobs to vets, less real to most realistic possible It is not hard to see what the community wants, just look at the amazing mods many people have created. Personally, I cannot play KSP without mods, for me, the stock game does not make sense and does not give me any sense of achievement or challenge. Support the community, we are all here crazy waiting to buy the game, you already have people dying to give you money, and if you must, do DLC's in the future, bring good content that matters, not just half dozen parts by 30 bucks. If you do good, if you offer good, we buy and we will ever support you. Cheers.

Away from KSP for too long, need some stuff explained
Kar replied to Kar's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yes, center of mass. This give a lot of possibilities. Usually I left those settings alone and use the method of fuel ducts, this looks like much more easier. Guess I have much testing to do. -

Thank you so much for the explanation. 1- Indeed, I remember this was a problem in the earlier versions of KSP. This should make things more interesting. 2- Ok, lol. 3- Talking about asparagus, yes, some stuff I created in the past looked like a web of fuel ducts. This should be very interesting to see how it works and how I can implement it on my rockets (provided they do not explode). Again, bewing, thank you very much for your explanation. -
Hi all, It has been a while since I played KSP. Just saw new stuff and 2 DLC's. I bought the "Breaking Ground" expansion already. So, after I managed to install all my favorite mods, I came to realize that some new stuff on the game I do not really get it. So here it goes: What is 1- Same Vessel interaction" ? 2- Control point "Default / reversed" ? 3- Flow priority (I know it has something to do with fuel from several tanks and the flow of it, but I never managed to understand). If there is anyone there that could explain me this little things I would appreciate. Thank you all in advance. p.s. KSP 2? What a blast.

Thank you guys! I found it. It really works.
-
Yea guess there is no option then to wait. Autostruts are really a pain. Thx.
-
Greetings all ! It has been some time that I haven´t played KSP. I made the update to 1.5 and installed the usual list of my favorite mods. Now I have a problem with wobbling rockets because I used the mod Kerbal Joint Reinforcement. I saw the auto struts in the parts drop down menu, I tried several stuff but with no success. I hate using the metal struts in my rockets, I find them unrealistic and ugly. A clean rocket should not look like a spider web (been sarcastic ) Since Kerbal Joint Reinforcement has not been updated how can I fix this? I do not know "crap" about modding KSP. Thanks anyone who could help. cheers.

Thank you for sharing all. I got it. Protactor.

They are not those. Still those are pretty interesting. The one I am looking for is similar with Astrogator. Thx for sharing.

Hi, I used a mod that allowed me to know the best time for a transfer. I cannot remember the name. It was a pretty small plugin that show all planets, time and/or Dv for the right time to depart. I just cant remember the name lol. Thx

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Terrain [v2.2.0] [20 March 2019]
Kar replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Greetings. I have installed SVT and Kopernicus mod like instructed but I am having a problem. I do not see any coulds on Kerbin (not the main screen) or any textures for that matter. Is any way someone can help me? I do not know much about modding or cfg's files. I just drop the stuff into the gamedata folder. Thank you. Edit: I just confirmed the planet textures are indeed working. I just do not see clouds when I am the space center or when I am flying. In the tracking station, I went to all planets and its working. I see Jool rings and textures and so on (pretty cool btw). Still...no clouds....- 1,019 replies

Since I installed windows 10 (I did not upgrade from win7 but did a clean install) I noticed much better performance in games overall. Not only in games but use applications also, things like browsing and so on became much more responsive. Also, I noticed in terms of memory management, windows 10 is much better then 7. While windows 10 can be a bit more "heavy" on the hardware, the way the OS handles memory is much better. I remember sometimes windows 7 after prolong use (not only with ksp but other stuff too) the memory available was hard to to increase, while in windows 10 after prolong use, the free memory increases as soon the OS becomes idle. Independent of the conspiracy theories of spying by microsoft and the US gov and crap like that, (and there is no doubt that win10 is a huge spyware lol) the base OS is much faster. So, yea, windows 10 all the way, even if running a older PC like a dual core or something similar.

I just want KSP stable and with better fps. All the rest is what mods are for. I also think this reason might be the reason of the majority also. Sure, better graphics are cool, more parts, more...whatever. But nothing of that will be good if the game crash or we get a rocket with 100 parts and it takes 10 min real time just to get that thing in orbit.

Really? I find them pretty cool. The ISS have the same thing on their Cupola. It acts as a shield. Still, I guess it's a matter of taste.

I think I never played KSP without mods! I just load stock KSP directly from steam when I want to check some pure stock stuff, otherwise I have a separate modded install. I do like to add "reality" to my ksp. My career games are hard since I have to struggle with money, science and other stuff. Here are some mods I play (not all): - Remote Tech; It is hard to send probes just to get science without a proper network comms relay. This adds up the difficulty by some degree. - Tac LS - Kerbals need food and O2 too. - Kerbal Joint Reinforcement - Just because I do not like rockets looking like spider webs and helps physics too. - StageRecover - Every bit of parts recovered is money saved - No matter how good you are switching ships and recover them manually, I find recovering of boosters and other parts lacking in KSP. - Station Science - Space Stations need a purpose more then be a refuel depo. Control & Info Scanning - because even the space shuttle has computers..... - MechJeb, Kerbal Engineer - Protractor - ScanSat - Kerbal Science Foundation (Nav Instruments - hey, airplanes have a nav hud to land! - basic ILS for airplanes) For looks and more options with parts: - Near Future Technologies - (Constuction , solar, Electrical, Spacecraft) - KW Rocketry - Just using it for the less time - still getting accustomed but looks promising. - Stockbugfixes - Well, KSP still has bugs no matter what - Heat Control - More radiators, but efficient because not all space is that cold - Tac Fuel Balancer - just what the name says - VenStockRevamp - Stock alike parts with more options then stock parts and they look cool!!!! - KSP-AVC - to keep thing in check - Infernal Robotics from MagicSmokeIndustries - Because I play with KIS/KAS and USI kolony mods and I like to build stuff that can move around. Also useful to make landers that can move their own engines up/down to land big heavy landders and other stuff like mining, Rover deploy, etc. Also I use some mods for visual looks too, like reflections, textures and stuff. At the moment I have around 45 mods installed - Long Live x64 !

I'm gonna give your stuff a try. Thank you. Yeah, I already tried that one, not much luck. I like lego style The last time I tried KWR was around .90 or ealier I think, always had some issues due to the ram usage. Ofc today might be different since we can already play x64. In any case, for what I remember, they also have some engines models that I did not liked. The SSTU mod seams interesting I will probably take a look at it too. Thank you all for your ideas. Fly safe.

No, just tanks, adapters, boosters, etc, that can be compatible with stock with cool textures. I can give a try on new (balanced) engines and / or Command modules if they are really balanced with other stock parts. @CobalWolf Just clicked on your sig links because I saw "all parts" lol. Love those solar panels
