@AtomicTech we now have more modding chats than mods
-
After watching the video i did this to simplify the process: https://spacedock.info/pack/471/Custom Flags P.S. Someone might even want to write a batch file to automate the whole process of installing things.

Yes and because of people like you me and all the others working hard to make this a special community (and the devs knowing this/being part of this for a long time) ownership will always be respected here.
-
I think the Game devs/publisher should consider giving game licenses to @HebaruSan and other essential devs like they do with media people.

(Hack/Workaround) Rigidity Fix - Less wobbly rockets

If you could make a settings slider or other way to easily set this you would have a nifty mod on your hands. -
This forum and its community as i know it always tought about the protection of the mod authors work. jumping from respecting your work under all circumstances to disowning you would be very out of character and not be tollerated by the people here.

The Mess Has Started - Two Different Mod Loaders
VITAS replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP2 Mod Discussions
most mods are using spacewarp so far. anyway i think one will prevail or non if the future brings a more official approach. -
Hi, KSP1 had an Education version. Will KSP2 have a similar thing? Ups wrong Area. Mods please move
-
The number is growing: https://spacedock.info/kerbal-space-program-2 no parts mods yet but a "make your own flag" mod
-
I simply dont understand why we should hide info from this forum and scatter into different walled inet services. This has been and always will be the central and official place for the KSP community.

You may not like it but licenses exist and should be respected.
-
if you havent misread that its not binding. Im no Lawyer and international law is different in every region but you cant claim other peoples code/programs by simply stating you own it. Back in the beginning of ksp modding we had a long discussion about licenses. Thats why SpaceDock takes choosing your mod license very serious. If you say its not allowed per license to take your code without crediting you we take down every mod that violates this and refuses to change it. Luckily that rarly happens. Because people here are great.

ksp1 or ksp2 and the version is of the game?
-
Are those mods or patch requests?
-
@R-T-B great put her there: https://spacedock.info/kerbal-space-program-2
-
@sarbian maybe but its a start. We are not even 24h in. I too hoped for a more substantial modding support and docu out of the gate. It would have been a greate chance to give modders a head start. @Superfluous J You are welcome to use and contribute to whatever mod manager you want. SpaceDock has an API ( https://github.com/KSP-SpaceDock/SpaceDock/blob/master/api.md ) and is open source so it will provide whatever you want.
-
This already exists: https://spacedock.info/mod/3255/BepInEx for KSP 2 i havent looked at it yet.
-
Yes they are not only allowed but an important part of what made KSP great in the past. SpaceDock the very existence of this forums area and a pinne dpost about SpaceDock is proof of the commitment.
-
For KSP1 we had established central services for modding discussion, package distribution and hosting. A bit of freedom for every contributor to break out of this mold should be possible. I e.g. like it that youre not forced to deliver your work to one spot so its visible by users you can choose github, forums, SpaceDock or even curse. It however established that its a good idea to publish mods on the forums, SpaceDock and ckan. Theres no reason not to continue the great way of doing things from KSP1. I am however always open for evolution and help making them happen. @bumvIf you want to help out making ckan or SpaceDock better youre welcome

I was more thinking of an example how to mod ksp2 not how to upload mods
-
sadly not. the info has to be on the internet so i can use a script to pull them e.g. via http requests. And it has to be reliable. So i can spare everyone the wait for SpaceDock to add new game versions.
-
Im looking for a way to find machine readable version info (not build names) to add to SpaceDock. Any idea/ Source for it? Steamdb isnt that helpfull.
-
Is there some sort of example mod for KSP2? (You might even upload it to SpaceDock)
