  1. Meator spy weather satellite observing MIR. Space weather. Meator satellite took a stroll to the Mun
  2. Been awhile since a Buran post Buran dropping off cargo and personnel to MIR. Kristal module was moved to forward port for Buran docking. Many snacks were had.
  3. Excuse me, sir, but where did you get those cool floaties? (unless I missed an update somewhere here) I need floaties for reasons.
  4. Here I sit broken hearted. I came to see more posts before posting, instead I have to double post. Anyway, I made this thing. I've seen it before but I don't know if it was a real world design, or if it was Eyes turned skyward or something like that.
  5. I present the Spoot probe. No comrade, this is not from an American parts pack, we swear!
  6. Saw a progress 2, so I made one too! Docked with MIR, dropping off snacks.
  7. Launch of the Meteor X experimental Satellite! And now I present to you, Vosk.. I mean Vostok 2.0!
  8. So I've also been looking for info on the meteor satellites, and unfortunately what's available online seems to be lacking. What I've gathered from Here is that the early version you're basing your model off of had a gyroscopic attitude control system as well as a gas based system for the first part of the mission. Soooo my guess is that the Vostok upper stage situated the satellite into an orbit, and then the gas system refined the orbit and set the attitude with the gyroscopic system taking over for fine maneuvering. This site gives us the much needed rear shot, though it's a bit grainy. Also that apogee and perigee would be low Earth orbit, though that shouldn't stop anyone from sending their Meteor's to other planets in KSP The Meteor also had sun tracking solar panels, so new solar panels! Also, it had an umbrella looking antenna, so new folding antenna! And lastly, I think this would look good on top of a Voskhod, let the Kerbals spy on those evil clouds!
  9. Almaz color update! Tantares in colors still needs an update for the added bits to the almaz parts, but other than that, boy does this look pretty!
  10. I searched, and every Chinese launch video I saw so far shows after the housing is opened up. This pic you can see there is an upper section: I suspect they created this semi-enclosed swing housing because of the winds to keep workers and arriving astronauts safe. @jianglinbin Can you find a video of the launch tower opening and closing?
  11. So one of the Chinese launch sites is really cool. I want to say it's a hybrid of American and Soviet. The soviet part being something surrounding the rocket before launch at the launch site. Unfortunately it looks like a lot of work would go into making the swinging building halves. And then of course how many KSP rockets could use it? There is also this launch tower that reminds me of Atlas launch towers.
  12. Oops, actually it looks like you need to fix the RCS Plumes being too big!
