  1. I build the whole engine, I make sure I place and rotate junos and props using snap symmetry. I place one engine, then copy and place second engine, then I can move and rotate exactly, I can usually even edit both engines in place, without re-mirroring
  2. Because they have round colliders, just like the probe core, makes for a very smooth bearing. I also use them to drive against because of their high heat tolerance, means I don't need radiators.
  3. You guys might see this as much as I do, decoupling does not free mechanism inside fairing, won't work until rebuilt.
  4. Its possibly because the water stops it turning fast enough to generate thrust
  5. Sort of gone backwards, though this plane is much nicer to fly than the previous one, a different bearing, it can take more torque and is why I am thinking of using it for a V-22. It is stable up to about 44 rads under heavy prop load. The trouble is with this plane trying to keep propeller sizes in the "this fits with this WWI looking craft" means I can't really stretch the engine. Each blade are three blades clipped into each other and I had up to four clipped blades and 16 Junos. With this setup it is slower but behaves like a proper plane. I also solved overheating issues quite neatly.
  6. These are probably what I am thnking of using, they should handle a lot more torque than I am applying here
  7. Yeah too light and spinny like my fighter engine and it does not have the torque for vertical flight, too big and it does not have the rpm for forward flight
  8. You got further than I did, I keep meaning to go back to my Osprey now I have some decent engines.
  9. I admit I was relying on others because I had a heavily modded install, I just uninstalled the mods to run a BD armory dogfight so I might opt in to the Beta again and check it out. Edit: downloading lets see how we go
  10. It seems there may be more difficult bugs with the pre-release than I imagined, it seems to be taking a while, no complaining I just imagined it to be a bit of a formality
  11. A variant, I will need to beef it up so it doesn't fall out, like at the end of the video. Though I already detuned it a little to stop cubic struts overheating
  12. Watch out boys, stock turboprop fighters got a step closer (stock Aero)
  13. I don't know what I could do with it, but it's interesting, might make a good latch
  14. Tried the long wings, but I also tried some other things, 2 Panther engine in vanilla aero Top speed no afterburners Top speed afterburners 103ms, this screenshot was like a second later and it was already decelerating The fairing drive wheel overheated and blew, might have to change it out for a heat shield
  15. @sgt_flyer has not been playing for awhile and I think we have both burned out on this abit, I have a craft file of the entire ISS if you want to go to the effort of splitting it up and launching it. The entire thing is 1032 parts, plus whatever you need to add to dock it. If you try and launch the entire thing as one it will blow up after a while, but seems stable enough if launched in parts.
  16. It's been driven by a reaction wheel, but does not provide thrust, yes it does!
  17. I did have a similar thought and tried a wingtip extension that was angled, but it did not work that well at low speed which is where you need it really. I think as others have said, wing length and clipped ailerons is probably the way to go.
  18. Not sure where else to stick this, built a little sub and went to find some stuff I had seen when my ocean glitched, had no idea it was there otherwise
