  1. Thank you, it was built in an older version of KSP so if you have any more issues let me know and I will see if I can fix them.
  2. How do you guys deal with the torque from single engines? I would have released a single engine version by now but the torque is dreadful and makes the handling atrocious, that's why I have been doing contra-rotating designs.
  3. Ah I think there is an action group to enable crossfeed on a docking port clipped inside the shuttle to feed the OMS engines
  4. Oh it was a turret I was making the rounds as part of a tank, you can actually get the rounds from the tank here https://kerbalx.com/SelfishMeme/T-54-Prototype I doubt the tank itself works anymore
  5. About 44 to 46 I am limiting myself a bit by trying to fit it into a normal looking and behaving craft. It is certainly challengong though!
  6. A new day and a new bearing, mixed my two bearings for 1.25m size and an easy 4 junos per engine, best level speed yet, stock aero, all landing and taking off equipent attached
  7. Whatever he is using, the BD Armory autopilot needs to be able to do, so I wouldn't think anything other than wheels would work
  8. A few improvements and moving to Panthers gives it great STOL performance, top speed marginally improved, would probably get better speed by adding and adjusting props, they are the same as before currently and are getting up into the 45 rad area
  9. Inaugural first flight 39t, 12 hairdrier, cargo plane, she tops out around 60ms You can download it here to check it out https://kerbalx.com/SelfishMeme/Kae-Stock-Turboprop-Cargo-Plane---new-bearing
  10. It is quite large, but a lot of these guys are using 3.75m fairing bases on their heli's. Over the last few weeks I have made a lot of RCS bearings and they will work with large loads, but they won't do it without occasional skips and catches. Eventually when you get the rads up high enough they will self destruct. So far in testing this has never caught or skipped once, it's so smooth it's hard to figure out it is turning, and it just sits at exactly 50rads, never skipping jumping or exploding. It needs a lot more testing, it's only 6 or so hours old, but I swear it is like a machined part. Edit: OK I can strain it
  11. @Azimech @klond @EpicSpaceTroll139 I think I just stood on the shoulders of giants and invented the future, this is the smoothest turning bearing I have ever seen. It sits at 50 rads and does not bat an eye what about load? I hear you say, some bearings like the RCS balls are ultrasmooth till you add some blades and then they get flaky when too much load is applied, well behold, 3 junos, 3 big blades, 20 rads, still ultrasmooth. I wish I could play with this right now but I have to go out for a few hours, damn! Edit: 3 Panthers, 6 blades and completely stable
  12. From what I read they are considering a larger aircraft than the f-22/f-35, with emphasis on electronics and range, it would be equipped with longer range weapons. The idea being to hit the enemy well before they even realize they have been fired on, and do it from anywhere in the world. They don't expect to dogfight over US skies.
  13. I loved the idea, I didn't try three vanes, I still have a enough power in the main rotor so I might give it a go again, I have a lighter rear bearing ready as well
  14. It seemed extremely variable, I tried quite a few variations. It works just maybe not enough to be practical on bigger helicopters.
  15. I gave it a go, but I could not get it to work well enough, I did think of another purpose for the boost flap, to block the forward facing engine, meaning the Heli was being pushed forward by the unblocked thrust from the rear facing engine. I really wanted it to work and tried for ages
  16. I made these main gun rounds long ago, it was a commonumtron 88-88, cubic strut and 4 seperatons, very deadly very accurate, called them my BFG (Big Freindly Greeting) round, you know because it's an antennae, saying hello, in the opposite way of freindly, yeah wasn't that funny back then either. The good part was they could be stacked in many ways.
  17. Just made my first attack run, not much luck with the AI pilot yet, but that's because I was never great with it, need more practice
  18. Nice, part count is always going to be the issue unless you use welding for the ISS
  19. The Mustang is a new Mk1 sized Turboprop fighter from KAe systems, it is being built to enter the Stock Turboprop DogFight challenge and may be selected by entities to fulfil the role of Airborne Combat Patrol and Homeland Defense. Mustang Prototype Download The Mustang prototype has been under development for quite a while. There were several technical challenges to be overcome. Today we are unveiling the prototype for review. This version is a test-bed for new technologies and will be worked on to increase speed, range and include armaments. It has a top speed currently of 60.5ms in level flight (don't be fooled by the navball, the wings are pitched so even though the nose is slightly down, the wings are level and maintaining altitude). It is as efficient as could be built although it is currently under-powered for military purposes. It uses two twin Juno KAe Mercator engines in a push/pull configuration. It is envisaged the production version will be equipped with the tri Juno Brigand engine. A lot of effort was put into making this aircraft AI controllable for the Stock Turboprop DogFight challenge, so it could not be finicky, or need special tricks to fly. As such it is remarkable easy to fly for a pilot, just stage (space), engage SAS (t), and full throttle (z). Pull up at about 40ms and it should lift smoothly off the tarmac, you don't even have to worry about tail prop strike. Landing is as straightforward as any other aircraft, though landing pitch of more than 10' may cause damage. Stall speed is below 30ms. Mustang Prototype - Top Speed You can eke slightly more speed out of it by deploying the rear blades. Mustang Prototype Development
  20. I did it! an actually useful 4 Juno plane! Top speed 60.5ms, I have reached in excess of 70ms while diving, yes this plane can manoeuvre! and land! In fact it's not a bad plane to take for jaunt out to the island it handles quite well with only the very rare explosion (well if you have collision FX, otherwise you won't notice). The fighter version is going to need some more engines, this thing is efficiency squared. I'll post up a build later, got to go out for a while.
