  2. Settings.txt -> GameDifficulty: EASY NORMAL MODERATE HARD CUSTOM You need to select HARD.
  3. on my private server i can not revert, its always grayed out. only terminate in tracking center. but dont know now how i set up that (7 months ago). isnt there an option in the servers config file? will have a look to it tonight (after server update). but btw: reverting is not that good for long-time-universes. i had many troubles with messed up kerbals, duplicated ships and kerbals etc.. (u could find in this thread).

You know you play too much KSP when... .. you look to your smartwatch and miss "alarm clock entries" .. you align your real life to transfer windows and upcomming maneuvers (in non-timewarp-multiplayer game -> see next) .. you get out of bed at 1, 3 and 6 o clock in the night to NOT miss an important maneuver .. you start assembling rockets in your dreams (that actually works) .. you begin speaking like "chatterer" .. you begin speaking with kerbals .. you rip the soundtrack from soundcloud and make it the new sleeping melodie of your kids (and of course for YOURSELF) .. you build a second computer, just to monitor and control vessels in "dark multiplayer" .. you urgently want to eat SNACKs instead of fresh and natural nutritions .. you "FORGET" visiting toilette for 30+ hours .. you build rockets that ascend constantly with 1m/s .. you install 100+ mods .. you canceled your cable tv cause you only watch KSP-streams anymore .. you get member of the "2-months-extra-additional-holdidays-for-ksp-players-league" .. your plants at home are now biomass .. you start sleeping in crouch position .. and funny: u want to catch that subway train 5 meters away but your legs can NOT .. you have to leave the house for an EVA .. you name your kids bill, bob and jeb (if you still do making babies) .. you want to "tweak scale everything" .. you want to mechjeb your daily work .. you dont see the beautiful national park, you only "scansat" it .. you recognize a meteor and think about if it was bill, bob or jeb who died now .. you are not affected by leonard nimoy's dead \\//, (but kerbals do) .. you watch vessel pics and want to right-click-spin-it
  6. For smoother flight you need a faster CPU at your client machine, NOT the server. For disappearing vessels you should explain what u do and when they disappear..
  7. Sure my friend ;-). But at that point i ment Vessels in flight. I built up my Kerbin-RemoteTech-Network in these steps: in Sanbox i created/tested/optimized/finalized the main-core-relais-probes and some smaller connection-spreading-probes. The first ones at kerbin i installed in sanbox game. When they were at the wanted coordinates, i ended game, did a "create universe from save game". Then i picked out the vessel files out of the fresh generated universe folder and copied them to the universe folder on my dmp-server. and after restart - voila - the net work is up and running. the few last ones (at minmus) i installed live playing on dmp-server. (of course i had to copy the .craft-files from sandbox to dmp-savegame-vab-folder) Same i tried one time with resulting in a tree-like multiplication of all that vessels.. :/ Conclusion: i have to watch whats exactly happen at reverting/relogin. And maybe we have to step back to non-reverting, non-timewarping, non-reloading game mode. (What we preferred from beginning..) Just for explenation: to relogin i mean next day or continue playing after some days and not in seconds or minutes. We never get disconnected by client/server or bad internet connection. Ok for now, i have to watch ESA's XVI lift off (live) stream now. And i think NASA had a supplyprobe to dock at ISS (?)
  8. I am afraid you are right.. :/ But wait.. ship doubling happens only after re-login, not immediately after revert/F9 reload. This is how i planned to do (but never did..) Create & test vessels in sanbox -> dmp: create universe from savegame -> copy vesselfile.txt onto servers universe then, do i have to restart the server or will he recognize/report/send the new vesselfile on the fly? What exactly do you mean with that?
  9. I had a 2 weeks break now playing KSP DMP. Two other issues still makes life bit hard: Various ships get "duplicated", yesterday i had one fivefold. Had to ground 3 of them, one was the "original" ship, 5th was empty, no pilot.. !?!? How to drive a MK1 Vessel without a pilot/antenna (RemoteTech installed)? 2nd issue: it mess up with kerbals. Jeb, Bill and Bob had 3 Stars after many mun and minmus science/scan/flag missions and landings. Now they are "virgin" as they are after a fresh install. I would say no, but i never watched on that. i have to had restart server 20 times a week.. Cant imagine that. I am crazy, but not like that.. *g*
  10. Me too had lost contracts many times, but WITHOUT crashing, only after re-login. Sometimes exactly the same contracts appear in contracs offer list, sometimes not.
  11. Runs on Linux in MONO-Environment. Install and Setup explained on D-MP's Homepage/Wiki. Its really easy. There is a Native-Linux-Port http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/92665-DMP-Linux-Server-Tools, but since 0.90 i only use MONO'd Version, so i cant tell, if its still working fabulous, as it did before.
  12. WOW. What a must have. Now i can type values in Mechjeb/RT Filght Computer AND chat in DMP without messing or THROTTLE UP vessels (with activated engines).
  13. Yes, it works. DMP does not bind Vessels to specific Players. Just place your Relays and connect to them. (But re/connecting need to arrange with other players ("owner" of relays))

  15. Maps/Buttons dont work.. had same in carrer. It seems that in career maps/buttons start working after first scansat equipped launch.
  16. This contracts are imho senseless (without any sidestory or background). Maybe they can be training missions for target orbiting "something".. ? I expected maintenance- or extend-missions for that satellites, or maybe kind of gps/remote tech-functionality. but such contracts they never came up. I never take such contract anymore..
  17. How do.. NASA revert? Reverting is senseless on DMP. Reverting is Cheating in general way. (Do we want fire-and-forget? For that i would create an Facebook-Account.) We here prefer to test vessels/operations in sandbox, to get successful launches and missions. We here dont want to mess up our Universe with imprudent vessels/operations. KSP is a Space Program Simulator, not a World War/Space War/Demolition Sim. And we highly appreciate, if KSP/DMP would stay on its peaceful and cooperative way. Otherwise i would start up Elite: Dangerous, EVE or... Star Citizen.
  18. - I open 2 Terminals and connect to bash at my remote-Debian 6-vServer - in one terminal i start "DMPServer.exe" - in second i do a "ps -all" to watch running processes and see the running dmpserver.exe - on close the first window -> process DMPServer.exe will be stopped/killed Why that? How to keep the (mono-)dmpserver.exe running? Cron/Anacron???

  20. GoDarkLight: may i ask you if "dsonbill" is part of your coding-team, or is he fully independent? Also nice to hear, that YOU hack and code onto linux ;-) and nice too, that my problem was NOT a prob of DMP.. After (short) tests it seems to work now here, the "4.5c-patch1 recompile" of "TarsierSpaceTech" dont throw back a "vessel sync error" anymore after 3 logout/logins. So it seems a good idea to check through that .txt-files in ../Universe/Scenario/*Playername*-folder (if somebody other fight against "vessel sync errors"). GoDarkLight: Thank you very much for the tip and for your ongoing (and daily) caring of your project AND this thread here. So long.. from Austria.. .. and look forward for "Beta than EVA" *g*
