  1. My guess would be that it somehow caused something convoluted to occur within the inner workings of MM. An edge-case scenario where it borked the internal logic employed by MM, perhaps. It may be worth passing along the relevant info to Sarbian to have a look at. Absolutely!
  2. I'm really looking forward to seeing those! I haven't had time the last week to even fire KSP up, so thanks for providing some motivation!
  3. I have this insane urge to attempt a Caveman Challenge in the Snarkiverse!
  4. Many thanks for this, @Tyko! One minor note: There's something not quite right with the CKAN config for this mod. Even though it's marked as compatible with "All versions", it won't show up for 1.4.3 if the filter is set to "Compatible". The same filter works correctly for your MSP-3000 Material Science Pod mod, which is also marked "All versions", so there's clearly some small difference between them where there shouldn't be.. Unfortunately, this also makes it so that the mod can't be selected for installation.
  5. Among other things.. I've used Xpadder for over 8 years now. Jonathan is a great dev, and it's fantastic value for the cheap one-time price (yep - buy once, and you get free upgrades for life). Even after 10 years, it still gets regular updates (usually twice a year) and new features added. There's also a very helpful support forum, and Jonathan is very receptive to feedback. https://xpadder.com
  6. You're right.. the DLC parts won't disappear and will be supported by Squad. Which makes the situation even better than for modded craft, when it comes to sharing craft files. So since the community already manages just fine with sharing modded craft, it will have no problems taking DLC-based craft on board as well.
  7. From which I take it you've never bothered checking out KerbalX? Where almost 12,000 craft (almost half of all craft stored/shared there) are modded?
  8. No more than it already does with sharing craft that use parts from mods. Which the community has adapted to just fine.
  9. Maybe because the additional launch site is part of the expansion? Kinda hard to launch from a site that isn't in the base game. Or is that your real complaint? That it wasn't added to the base game instead?
  10. I think LoSBoL is correct.. if I have a monthly subscription to something, I damnwell expect something of value in return for my money each month. And I'd imagine most people are the same.. because that's exactly what the term "monthly subscription" implies.
  11. Why does everyone still move Kerbals to command seats in this clunky way when the Take Command mod has been a thing for almost 3 years now?
  12. Still a different timeline.. so there are no guarantees.
  13. EEX for the win! I couldn't live without it.. (and boy do I miss it when doing Caveman Challenges!).
  14. It doesn't help that you've been looking in the wrong place. What you want is the Challenges Section. Even more specifically, so far as I'm aware, you've never tried the KSP Caveman Challenge. So come on.. let's see how good you really are!
  15. Please DO NOT encourage Squad to start imitating Micro$oft practices!
  16. I wouldn't bother.. if he's from a future where the fairing is still borked in 1.4.3, then he's from an alternate timeline, 'cause it's been fixed in our 1.4.3! So clearly, any Almanac he'd give you can't be trusted..
  17. Yes it is.. 'tis one of those "Kerbals are seriously fixated on snacks" things. From the OP, it's very definitely only for mission builders.
  18. Hmm.. I may have been overly optimistic.. I've just been informed by @bewing that: Given that "completely impossible" bugs tend to be somewhat tricky to track down, it may be a while before this one gets sorted.
  19. Oh god.. that's.. gahh! (I am so tempted to drop this tale in the 1.4.3 patch thread with all the complainers whining about how debugging isn't that hard, and tell 'em to put this in their pipe and smoke it!)
  20. It looks like @Skystorm may have figured out what's going on.. turns out the exploding landing-legs bug appears to be a misplaced-decimal-point bug, and that the docking ports bug may possibly be related. https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/173831-patch-143-to-be-released-next-week/&do=findComment&comment=3362854
  21. I concur with these points below. And speaking of bugs, it's only just today been discovered and confirmed that there's a drag bug in some stock-DLC parts, with variations of up to 7% depending on which skin you apply to them. Might well be related.
