Yeah, light pollution does crazy things. I live in the city, but my relatives are in the countryside of Georgia, and whenever me and my dad are outside at night, I'll always say, "Oh yeah! I forgot that Georgia has stars!" - - - Updated - - - That's really cool, I would love to do something like that. I should look into volunteering at the science museum here, too! My grandfather worked on rockets too, I believe Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo! I think he worked on engines.

As I said to another post about this, I have no real intention to, this isn't necessarily meant to make fun of them, I just wondered what replies I would get. I apologize for that, though, I didn't think of the perspective of the other end of the joke. I must say though, I'm impressed that you guys would say this, I kinda stole the idea from an askreddit question, but without the space related context, and there was none of this, "being nice" stuff... So, thank you for reminding me, I try not to be rude, but I'm glad that you did remind me! -Slab

Well of course! Haven't you ever heard of gravity?? Idiots - - - Updated - - - That's true, most of the stereotypical creationist "Moon landing hoax, Obama is the devil" stuff, you only hear on the news because they're the few and far between creationists who still have a few screws loose from their former life on drugs à ² _à ² - - - Updated - - - No, I understand and I most definitely am not interested in turning this into the Youtube comments section. I appreciate your respect, too. I don't disagree with the scientific method being a good way to find objective truth, but there aren't as many people to "defend the scientific method" as you would think. - - - Updated - - - Anyways, this is turning into religion and politics, not stupidity. Stop being civilized, we're supposed to be making fun of stupid people, not religion!

I'm so sorry to hear this, tell your wife she has our thoughts and prayers. My Grandather died of cancer 3 years ago, it was actually amazing, really. He had extreme pain in his back that he thought was from a recent surgery, but it turned out to be liver cancer. He passed away the night after they found out. We had a hard time of course, but we were so glad it was as quick as it was. Stay strong! -Slab - - - Updated - - - I would consider getting someone else that's able to spend more time and be closer, that will probably help alot. I broke my arm right after this past christmas and I was fortunate to get a very good doctor who cared, and was patient, and was very conservative with surgery as to the pros and cons of an immediate fix vs. the trauma that surgery does. I hope things work out for you. -
I thought you meant plastic model kits, but this is from scratch? Wow. I do aircraft models from time to time, but I also get kinda bored, I'd rather go to space than paint pieces and glue them together, it kinda disappoints me that the end product doesn't keep me going, lol

Yeah, I suppose. It's kinda hard to see past the stupidity to how they would feel being made fun of XD But some people stand by their ignorance, so not all of them come home dejected and depressed from being made fun of for saying the moon landing was a hoax - - - Updated - - - So, umm, you're entering yourself as an answer? No offense, just silliness. I can tilt my head back... Nobody loses the ability to do something their body is made to do because they don't do it often. The only thing that would do that(to my limited knowledge of anatomy and having broken my arm) is stiff joints and scar tissue around muscles from the joint being still for a long time, but we move our necks all the time, although not always that far back.

I will say that nor'ners have dumb sayings, us hicks are alot better > But yeah, if we used metric everything would be 10 times better(pun intended). - - - Updated - - - How so? à ² _à ² - - - Updated - - - Well, considering shows like Star Trek actually try to put a theory behind warp drives, replicators, transporters, and holodecks, if you google how they say it works, it's actually pretty interesting what they've come up with.
-
Lol, yeah I can kinda understand that somewhat, it's hard to get it in your head that, for example, George Washington was real, as in, to conduct your thoughts consciously as if he was real, when you can't see for yourself that he was real... Ahh, I'm not explaining it well - - - Updated - - - Repped for "innit".
-
Wow. Not only is that completely ignorant, the Bible has no indication of that. This post is so much better than I thought it would be XD - - - Updated - - - I just read through all of the comments, this is gold XD Thanks so much, guys. The best one I've heard from someone else is that their friend thought the moon and the sun were the same thing and the moon was just the sun cooled down. I've also seen somebody on Ask Yahoo wonder whether man would ever land on the sun, but since it's super hot they could land in the winter. Ohh, poor people... - - - Updated - - - http://i.imgur.com/UGwWcO3.gifv

Last Sunday at my church we were in small groups and we kinda talk just to hang out before we start talking about whatever the lesson is, or whatever, and the subject got to space ;D So, one of the kids asked why rockets go straight up into space and not sideways, and so I answered, although in a really bad way, that they do go sideways, but after they've gone up quite a ways to get out of the thicker atmosphere, and that going sideways from the start would take a lot more distance in the atmosphere. I kinda wanted to explain how close the ISS was in comparison to the size of the Earth so I could show how close space really is, and how much atmosphere you'd have to go through to get there going sideways. Now, that wasn't really a dumb question at all, but I just wondered what you guys have seen people ask, or say, because I know there's a lot of people that don't know much about space. Thanks for reading! -Slab

Cool, thanks! -
Thanks for the rep! Yeah, it is pretty safe. I've only had one crash where Hudbert didn't survive, a nose down top speed crash into the ground. XD

Haha, I'll try mediafire. Some people use KerbalStuff too, right? I'll have to see how that works too. EDIT: Ahh, mods only I'll do mediafire - - - Updated - - - Oh, you have to make an account... I won't be able to do that then, sorry guys. It wasn't too hard though, I just offset a few Oscar B tanks for the chair to sit on, cover up the sides with control surfaces, then build the tail and wings from there. Sorry again! -Slab

haha, Ki 10! You play War Thunder? Also, if anyone is interested I can try to figure out how to put it up for download. Thanks for watching! -Slab
