Mikki replied to IgorZ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Update Module manager to 2.8.1 and delete all four module manager caches below, restart the game and see what happens... -
Hm, maybe i get you wrong but anything should be visible.... Three crafts between inner and outer belt:

[Minimum KSP version - 1.12] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) v1.29
Mikki replied to IgorZ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Open the settings file in the KIS folder, change the value to 300 (former default), or like me, to 5000... -
I knew you are a true believer!

@antipro hi there, well I looked at your screenshots, very cool stock KSP machinery and genuine spacefaring action, real cool, i still play a stock careersave too, year 37 or so... nothing compared to your 214 years... O....M....G! I`ve never seen such an advanced careergame in these forums, crazy! I see you`ve earned lotsa bucks, 58`167`000 is quite a bit gunpowder for your boosters... And my eyes spy some 47`545 points, i guess you`ve unlocked the techtree a loooooooooong time ago... If anyone knows the answer, it must be you... "What is the meaning of a Kerbals life?" "Is there a unhatched Krakenegg in the system?" "How many asteroids orbit Dres?" "What`s the taste of Eeloos icegaps?" Epic ingametime, Cheerz!

Thank you for confessing fun! Good luck, you`ll need some! Thank you too for confessing amusement, , regarding Bob and spacemadness, i found his facial expression the page ago shows probably first symptoms, i`ve rarely observed such a silly giggle on a Kerbals face... As i mentioned further above, due to RL constraints i am planning the returnleg of my crew, Kerbalism provides a strange and unique unconvenience so far from home... Worst thing would be a critical engine failure, and reorganizing the transfershipstructure in space with KIS and KAS looks more like a nightmare than calmly boating down a river...

KSP Weekly Challenge Suggestions
Mikki replied to Just Jim's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Excellent idea, providing a savefile (Sandbox?) would be the easiest way to go. I am curious if one can make a precision landing on the VAB roof, but as i know the forummembers, chances are quite good... Landing (not crashing) the rock on the admin buildings helipad would be a topgoal... Put it into the hangars on the island? Many funny ways around to score i think... Between the RnD buildings, ... Out of likes btw -
[1.12.x] Kerbal Atomics: fancy nuclear engines! (August 18, 2024)
Mikki replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Max cooling on radiators,... the heattransfer out of the reactor can take a long time if you observe the digits precisely... its quite complicated true After finishing burntime occurs a point where heatgeneration and heattransfer/cooling capacity cross each other during cooling (Use KER heat menu!), if this point exceeds temperatures (due to insufficient cooling capacity) above the critical coreheat your reactor blows up in spectacular way and your rear end with it basically. This can take up to 15 minutes in the game, timewarping during this time is dangerous while having the vessel focussed. EDIT: Looks like i`ve used this engine only by chance properly... omg! Sorry but its really complicated, using the emancipator has advantages but also some "minor" issues for the user, i think this is intended and balances the engine for performance. -
[1.12.x] Kerbal Atomics: fancy nuclear engines! (August 18, 2024)
Mikki replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@trias702 hi there, i would encourage you to download the Heat Control mod from Nertea... I have used the emancipator in 1.2 and this engine requires at least 8 of the largest solid radiator panels provided in this mod. Yes you read it right, 8 of them... actually more to be safe. Rather 10... Hold on, i have a pic... You should be able to calculate the estimated hardware needs by the provided infos in the VAB/SPH .. -
Occasionally i had the pleasure to dissect stonehard dead moose out of frozen lakes. With a rather large chainsaw. Fish appreciate this service, having a ton of slowly rotten flesh in the water doesn`t make a joyful spring.

Thanks for your kind words, these mods give stock KSP alot of interesting tension, KerbalAtomics in combination with Kerbalism has so many small things one must regard to make a successfull interplanetary voyage... Its simply thrilling sometimes... keeping my Kerbals alive is the basic mood after leaving Kerbins SOI, very intense experience, it just becomes a true adventure. I have some free time ahead again and will continue with the returnleg of the crew... making awesome adventures with lifesupport is sometimes to risky, but i`ve learned alot with this trip till now. I wanna go to the joolian system in a similar fashion, but it will become a technical ressource battle without much comparison...

Isn`t that hard.... So you have disabled critical partfailures? I guess your Kerbals swim back when propulsion suffers unrepairable malfunction...
-
You live definetly on another planet... Epic landship, someone call some japanese manga authors...
-
Maybe change the general setting of your graphics, i think this is the mod limitation what you mention here... To me its more than sufficiant...
-
You can tweak the particle ammount in the settings and don`t forget to hit B in mapmode to activate the rendering, toggle the red text to green below... Theres a Wiki in the OP btw, a must read...

Its not updated now, and i personally don`t think its necessary anymore. We can now autostrut in the stockgame and autostrut to grandparentpart has shown the same effects as KJR. Aswell the physicsease on load has partially been implemented...

[1.12.x] Kerbal Atomics: fancy nuclear engines! (August 18, 2024)
Mikki replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I have a picture of a constellation style Transferstage, for all the people having trouble getting into the LH2 and boiloff mechanics (NFE patch in KA extras folder): You see here: - KerbalAtomics LH2 only cryo tank (1), needs around 22 ec/s for cooling, allways, no matter if tank is nearly depleted - KerbalAtomics Neptune engines (3), here running on LH2, inbuilt radiators are allways on (staged once) - NFelectrics small nuclear reactor (1) running at least 50%, 30 ec/s for all the systems mentioned - HeatControl curved radiators large (3) which are allways running, for good reasons... - To get thrust from the Neptunes, inbuilt radiators must be on preferably, the reactors + the engines must be started and gain temperature (larger than 500° then fast increasing), when they are hot enough throttle can be opened and voila, we have nice thrust. - ActionGroups are your friend running this system. - Make sure to shut down the reactors and the engines after finishing burntime immediatly, or they will suffer serious corehealth damage after short time! - Let radiators running all day long, or you will regret it after time warping... - Neptunes have quite a large storage of enriched uranium, this can be lowered significantly for short missions I hope this can clear up some issues for the curious -
I found aswell Nerteas NFT mods specially the nuclear reactors going well with Kerbalism, despite having a own electrics balancing plugin. I tried lots of different methods, NFT reactors seem deathproof to me actually. And Kerbalism will definetly kill your Kerbals without reliable energysupply...

[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
Mikki replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I got the time to test the parts and they are just great, thanks alot for your work! I found the heavy dockingport at 200`000 funds, if anyone else didn`t notice the pricetag till now, it`s some two digits off most likely (Shouldn`t it be 5m diameter? Construction has allready a hollow 3.75m sized...?). Energia textures really fit the purpose..., the LFO engines have beautiful turbomachinery, supportparts are simply perfect... Mod out of hell errm heaven! -
DUNA MISSION on KERBALISM! Okay, we are back on the new habitat site and the crew is preparing for the Dunaface exploration, Bob insisted to take the wheel first, and the gals where quite happy to have a rest meanwhile... Zelanda made some upgrades to the truck, Rov-Es crewcabin has been mounted to the midsection, luckily there was more than enough space to fit it in... Supplies are stored in ample amounts... Bob was very excited about the handling of the "Kemaz spez-D", and shortly after leaving the habitat location he showed off some insane rally pilot skills... Meanwhile on "Kerbin 2", far above their heads, Jebediah began to fight occasional partfailures on the transfervessel, more and more concerned about some important shipsystems... what if the kraken strikes harder while the others are travelling away from the ascendmodule and a major partfailure occurs which only Zelanda could repair? Missioncontrol had to rethink the ongoing tasks for sure. After some heated discussions back in the KSC missiondirectors and engineers decided it would be better to skip the Dunaface exploration in favor of the missionsafety, Jebediahs repairskills are too limited and the lives of all crewmembers depend on a functional transfervessel, so Bobs truckrally got aborted sadly... having his drivinghabbits in mind probably the most reasonable decision at all...

True, i had a fun to construct and fit it into the lander, it was supposed to make loitering around the habitat easier... Kerbalism killed the lifesupport with one failure sadly. One crewdepartment had the scrubber, the other the pressure system... Rov-E would have been a good name for it... Next missionupdate is likely sunday evening, i have some reallife too...

I just can`t believe that our Overlord of NFT and KerbalAtomics posted in this thread... OMG! I must admit that i just can`t go without these mods any more... thank you for your amazing efforts...

There`s a rather large city in Iran named Kerman.

How do I disable the Developer Console console?
Mikki replied to Kellso's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
i don`t know of any possibility to disablöe the cheat, but it`s not that you`re weak in some way, you just lack patience... Next time you want to open the console... just leave it and start from scratch.
