Could be, but here is what I meant http://imgur.com/a/M1ciJ Ideally I'd like to analyse if my craft is in a belt or not

sure, that would not be a big problem, but please look at the screenshots and the descriptions. Its not rocket science ;-) -
Generic IVAs for mods without IVAs
MacLuky replied to genericeventhandler's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Nice patch! I believe Fusetek had some nice IVA. If you need something specific, I might be able to create something simple. -
Generic IVAs for mods without IVAs
MacLuky replied to genericeventhandler's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Just create a mm patch re-use an existing Iva -
Yes I read that, and I don't want to tweak the particle amount of the radiation, just when I hit B and zoom the rings disappear too soon/late. I'd like to tweak the visibility
-
Its probably been asked before, so mea culpa beforehand ;-) but I can't find the answer. How can I tune the distance in which the belts become visible in the map view? I'd like to tweak them since I can't really observe them properly now.

Dragon Rider Capsule [0.23 (2/14/14)

Got permission from cBBp last week to pick this up. Let's see if we can breathe some life into it. -
[1.3.x] Lionhead ESA Launchers Continued [WIP]
MacLuky replied to MacLuky's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Home is awesome, but also on a restrictive license. You can't even post a link to it I think. So we would need Bobcats permission. The probes we can do, the wheels won't work I think since the way ksp handles wheels has changed. Learning how to make wheels is on my list however :-) @bjornadri help is always welcome! (unintentional bold, weird forum editor ;-) Looked at MEM this morning, but think we can do better on the pod at least. The lander is really cute Here is the updated Thor lander: https://ufile.io/pxbwc -
[1.3.x] Lionhead ESA Launchers Continued [WIP]
MacLuky replied to MacLuky's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Ah well, I tried fixing the arm on the Thor lander and take a look at the solar panels but have a hard time importing them in blender/unity. But other parts just need config tweaks indeed. The patch file that I posted in lion heads original thread has some fixes for probe attachments points and a bit of center of mass gets shifted around. I recall getting stuck at the wheels and stopped there ;-) If we can figure out the names of the colliders we can use KSPwheel to fix it. -

Most models are severely broken. Learning KSP wheel is on my list but I can't figure out the unity setup (yet) -
[1.12] KSP-RO - Realism Overhaul [16 May 2022]
MacLuky replied to Theysen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Actually working on a European based rocket / space vehicle. Not based on a real thing, but close enough. Borrowing from ESA, Proton, Dragon and Apollo inspiration.- 2,216 replies

I tried wheels but got stuck on the unity setup. Took a step back and did fuel tanks > solar panels > engines > command pods > iva (still baffled at many points) Love to work on a rover, but don't feel I'm there yet. If I can help on a team or get inspired by their work I would love to work on that.

So I've decided to merge the ESA Launchers here, it makes much more sense to have a single repo. I'm also adding Rosetta and Philea. They are far from finished, but frankly I am not sure if I will ever get there. There is weird stuff in the Rosetta core lander that keeps generating bugs that require complete rebuilds in unity which are just too painful. I could really appreciate a hand in fixing those. I'm focussing on a new project that will be a rocket pack, lets see how that turns out Oh grab the download here: Download ZIP

Rescale Factor Need Help!
MacLuky replied to AR3S_TGL's topic in KSP1 Modelling and Texturing Discussion
Well the name gives it away ;-) it's the factor by which the model is scaled. Typically just leave it at 1 but if you want your part to be bigger you can go for 2. This does mean that the attachment points need to move by the same factor, and for fairness probably mass and cost etc too. -
Bit more progress Philae got a probe core and an attachable science package.

What do you think went wrong with the N-1 Program?
MacLuky replied to 41Paddy's topic in Science & Spaceflight
statistics only work in larger numbers, then again, we are talking probability, which works fine with gemini numbers- 115 replies

Yes you can even pick up tourists and use a mun and minmus gravity assist to get thrown out of the system. If you pack 1500 dv you should be okay.

Small update: I've figured out how solar panels work. (I think): https://vid.me/DTkJ Let me know what you think

[1.3.x] Lionhead ESA Launchers Continued [WIP]
MacLuky replied to MacLuky's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Thanks for the feedback: The first issue is very strange, I'd be interested in a KSP.log of that occurrence. Diamant and Ariane 3-3: I feel silly, apparently I had both the development folder and the release folder in my test setup. Will fix asap! thanks for not only spotting it, but also providing the fix! Will rotate payload node of Ariane 5 asap and run some more tests. Nice! do you have dimensions, schematics etc? I think I can give this a go and make a more kerbal like version of it. fix is on GitHub master: https://github.com/macluky/ESA-Launchers Thanks -
Thanks, will make the patch optional and think about compressing the models so they are the same height
