  1. I'm just glad to be of assistance, no thanks required, but greatly appreciated. However, I'd like to see SnapDock, SASAG, Off Stage, and Separator Destroyer put into stock as well. Perhaps in a future update, I suppose. (SASAG makes Stock VTOL easier to control when combined with Control From Here)
  2. why anyone would want to play PC with noobsticks is beyond me but to each their own. I will point out that there's no advantage gained from using a gamepad or flight stick outside of atmospheric flight in planes, but we got mods for that purpose so it's really moot.
  3. Stock "Control From Here" in action groups is a welcome addition, but makes my mod obsolete. I'll keep the mod on SpaceDock but I don't see a need to update it anymore. EDIT: Three of my mods are now obsolete Control From Here Drill Action Fix Fix Seat Eject
  4. I wanna make a simple flat-surface part in blender with a custom texture, except I don't see any tutorials on how to make custom parts. I already know how to use Blender, but beyond that I'm clueless. can anyone please point me to an updated guide?
  5. most EULAs are copy/paste jobs from a standard set of terms and conditions. some companies will even sneak in humorous passages knowing most people won't bother to read it.
  6. looks like mod parts, I reconize the infernal robotics arm underneath, never seen the other parts tho. more importantly is how he managed to get a kerbal to plant a flag, usually when my kerbals EVA underwater, they float up to the surface.
  7. back when Val wasn't in-game yet, I forget what version, but I learned how to get to orbit and Jeb got stuck up there so I sent bill to go rescue him with a two-person lander pod. timed the launch and got to orbit but I had trouble rendezvous with Jeb because I forgot RCS thrusters and had to attempt to get closer with only the main engine but eventually I got there, Jeb grabbed the hatch ladder and attempted to get in, but couldn't because Bob decided to come along too. reverted to VAB, kicked Bob out, added RCS and did it again.
  8. Click the "useful mods" link in my sig below, install the patch to fix the seat eject. install the "Drill Action Fix" patch too, as the drills are missing their deploy/retract/toggle actions and yes, it's a known bug that will be fixed in 1.3.1 Happy Landings!
  9. ALT+X disables trim - turning on SAS also counters trim - you cannot set trim while SAS is active. part clipping has been known in the past to generate mysterious forces and at one point, was the founding principal for the "kraken drive" which enabled a vessel to have infinite delta-v
  10. ksp physics are weird at best, tho your image show a negative ascent, your vessel lacks lifting surfaces, the round body shouldn't induce too much drag, I won't rule out the possibility, tho I find it very unlikely.
  11. The Mystery Goo is made of Mister E. Kerman - But someone mislabeled his burial urn "Mystery" - his life-long wish was to visit every celestial body in the Kerbol system. Sadly, he passed away long before his wish could be fulfilled and so Kerbals now bring his remains along to honor him, and there's even science to be had from doing it.
  12. KSP already has these positions filled. it would seem that Squad is seeking to expand and develop other projects.
  13. Val flew a solo mission to Minmus before I setup a mining base there, her vessel ran out of fuel on the return trip shortly after take-off and was on a sub-orbital trajectory with only 8 minutes until impact. she quickly went EVA and jetpack'd herself into stable orbit around minmus, then hohmann transfered to Kerbin sub-orbit, while using the Mun to slingshot around to save fuel, finally arriving at LKO, she burned all her pack fuel in retrograde and set an eliptical but stable orbit around Kerbin, where Jeb flew up and rescured her by trapping her inside a small cargobay since she couldn't manuver herself to the ship. However, moving the ship in orbit while she was inside the cargobay allowed her to get close enough to the Kommand Chair and sit before de-orbiting.

    :D

Figuring stuff out on your own is half the battle fun, the other half is senseless destruction and involuntary murder/suicide.
  15. piracy isn't an issue of property, piracy is an issue of service. the only way to stop piracy is to provide a better service than the pirates. sure, piracy is going to happen, even DRM protected software is hacked/cracked and pirated. I think more time and effort is spent combating piracy than providing service with DRM protected software, that in turn fuels the need for piracy. ironic, isn't it? Some software companies realize that their software can be hacked/cracked and pirated no matter how much time and effort goes into combating piracy, and to re-iterate that piracy is a service issue, these companies will offer their software free of charge, encourage re-distribution, but require a subscription fee for help/support, since pirates are very unlikely to offer a help/support service better than the company that developed the software, the company makes a profit from free software. smart. Fortunately, KSP isn't DRM and though vulnerable to piracy, Squad has provided a service good enough for most of everyone here to obtain legal copies of their software. I bought mine through Steam back when it was just a $10 USD beta and I couldn't be more happier.
  16. I added a bug fix for Infernal Robotics a week or two ago, forgot to mention it here. AutoStrut will no longer be set if the placed part is attached to an IR part in it's attachment hierarchy so it can freely move.
  17. Thanks. that helped a lot, tho the contract pack is a bit off; that location was on a slope and would be bad to land on, but I did make jeb get out and walk around; found a nice "flat" at the peak, -24.99388889 LAT, -158.47277778 LON A word of caution however, if you miss this location by the slightest, there's a 3km steep slope you'll have to climb up somehow.
  18. I'm trying to use HyperEdit's lander to put a test rocket on the highest peak of Eve and somehow I keep missing it; when I google it the location, I get invalid results dated back to 2013.
  19. I never knew about any other resource converters other than stock, but I'm glad you've taken initiative to extend it further. Happy Landings!
  20. same here, and usually I don't build such large vessels as this one, but I wanted to challenge myself anyway.
  21. it wasn't meant to VTOL on Kerbin tho... I was just testing it with hacked gravity 0.62
  22. and back to the drawing board... VTOL works now that I moved the wings, but I need more RAPIERS and yet another rebalance before I can take it to orbit
