  1. There was a invaluable site called Kerbalmaps, unfortunately it's gone down. However, you can use the internet archive version (very slow), or this rehost. There's some people working on a new version with updated biome maps on the old thread too (page 6 and onwards):
  2. Ahh, but this was built by the Board. And they like to keep their options open. Plus, realistically, weight would be more important than strength in space. Ninja'd by @Shania_L
  3. I just looked up phase-array antennas, it's really interesting how they work!
  4. On internet constellation: how will you connect to the sats? Omni antennas or tracking? Centralized or rooftop? It seems like tracking would be far to prone to failure, but omnis would have to be expensive and powerful. What do you guys think?
  5. It's already locked! And it's staying that way.
  6. You guys forgot to read the alt-text. "It took a lot of booster rockets, but luckily Amazon had recently built thousands of them to bring Amazon Prime same-day delivery to the Moon colony." So the idea is that the ICBMs (or maybe just the warheads?) were put on much larger rockets.
  7. I'd like to see more games that are x + KSP's editor and 10% difficulty, where x is any game. So beamng.drive, except you can build cars out of parts. Or world of warships where you can build your own ships.
  8. Nice use of the mk3 tail cargo bay! The asymmetry is a nice touch too.
  9. This is realism overhaul, meant to fully simulate real life rocket science. All real planets are in this, at full size: This is real solar system, which turns the kerbol system into the real solar system, but does not change anything else. AFAIK, pretty hard without realism overhaul too, as stock mass fractions are quite low. You can adjust said mass fractions with SMURFF to more realistic levels for use with real solar system: Oh, and there's this: Real planets at a stock size.
  10. Because the size of a planet affects delta-v requirements for orbit more than its gravity, so a smaller planet makes a easier game. There are earth sized planet rescale mods that you can try to see for yourself.
  11. Well, I doubt that the kerbulans will attack while some of the crew aren't in the Intrepid, and there isn't a plausible cause for the destruction of the Intrepid. The Kerbulans don't want anyone to know about them. I wonder how fast Krakens move? If they are limited by orbital mechanics and delta-v, it couldn't get to the Intrepid much before the Kerbulans, but if it moves at the speed of plot...
  12. I hear that the forums is much worse on mobile than desktop, I haven't used it much on mobile myself. For help with the desktop version, I wrote a guide on how to use it: And here's the bit about how to make a stream that works like the old settings page:
  13. Well, try turning off space center crew, as @Waxing_Kibbous suggests.
  14. Now that some of the parts have been integrated, and this was from a while ago, I doubt that asteroid day will ever be fully integrated. I don't know whether the mod still works, sorry.
  15. Hmm, sounds like something has gone wrong. I haven't downloaded 1.2 yet, but I haven't heard anything about lots of lag. Does it happen after you restart the game? In the VAB? And what OS are you using? Thanks! EDIT: Are you using any mods? If so, what ones? Did you buy the game through steam, or the KSP store? This might be your problem:
  16. So I made this (in 1.1.3, because I still haven't updated yet): The car: The car in the tube, travelling at the futuristic speed of 27 m/s, because KSP physics:
