Realism Overhaul Discussion Thread
Mad Rocket Scientist replied to NathanKell's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I believe you do not need real fuels stockalike or real plume stockalike. Try removing those and seeing if it works right. -
Nice looking rockets! Is that a backwards linear 7 RCS port as the nose?
-
Ah, that should help with stability. I'll give that a try.

Our results appear to confirm each other. When I added four basic fins to each range safety device, it was not maneuverable enough to change direction. The stock "hold target" guidance doesn't seem like it could intercept a cruise missile head-on either, it would have to chase it. EDIT: When I launched both of them at the VAB (at ~100m/s) at the same time they could take it down some of the time. EDIT2: Now they're never destroying the VAB, no matter what I do.

That's a great video, thanks for the credit!

You're not the only one. I duplicated the "range safety device" I'm going to try testing whether it could destroy a missile in flight, but first I need BDA vessel switcher.

T-30 minutes, and everything looks good. -
WOOOO!!!! Seeing a launch in person is amazing! It looked great, I was able to track it all the way to S1 seperation and see some of the nitrogen plumes with binoculars.
-
They'll be landing on the drone ship JRTI today. Alright, I'll be watching in person, so I have to leave soon. Hoping for it to be better than Jason-3.
