  1. It is, but keep it in the realms of sanity. nothing bigger than 15M. - - - Updated - - - It is, and 17
  2. Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to build a surface outpost on the body of your choice. It's that simple. Just check these guidelines: 1. It's gotta be huge. I'm talking massive. Like, a city in space. There'd be cars, landing sites, the works. You can have as many launches as you want, taking as long as you want, at any price. Just make it visible from high space. You need to have pictures. At least 2. One of the completed project and one of how you got the modules there. It can be a single entity docked, (more points) or several small individual things. 2. Mods are allowed, under these circumstances: They can add things like engines, life systems, ect. but can't be things like warp drives or hyperedit (duh.) They can add planets, change planets, add stars, and whatnot, but The points don't matter. Anything cheaty is a no, as long as they give you unrealistic abilities and whatnot. 3. It's gotta be off Kerbin. You can't have it next to the base. It can be on the Mun, or anywhere else. But just keep in mind the farther you go the better you score. Here's a basic rubric for grading yourself. Base Location: Mun..............................10 Minmus.........................12 Duna.............................15 Eve...............................15 Ike................................17 Gilly..............................17 Moho.............................20 Dres..............................20 Bop...............................15 Tylo..............................35 Laythe...........................25 Vall/Pol..........................20 Eeloo.............................30 Outer planets..................30 Base Size: <10 modules..................10 10-19............................20 20-29............................35 30-49............................50 50+ Modules.................100 Trucks...................+20 Boats....................+40 Planes...................+20 Return Vehicles*.....+50 Crew: <10 Kerbals..................10 10-19...........................30 20-39...........................50 40-60...........................70 60+............................120 Add these things up and you'll find your score. Have fun, take your time, and start your colonies! Badges: Will be released when people start doing things, but there are 3, for however high you scored. *Things that can take the whole crew back, and this score is n+planet location score=this score total Winners:
  3. Good lord this was good. Movie-worthy. I'd give you a +1 but some mod would yell at me about it being taboo in the rules or something. Isn't Gene capcom though?
  4. Now for the good stuff: Pelrick 11: The First Flyby It's been a long time coming, and now it's here! The Big One! The Grand slam! The First Jool Flyby, aka Pelrick 11!This spacecraft is the highest rated flyby probe since Voyager 2! It's equipped with all sorts of gizmos, such as a command pod, a pair of solar panels, and science stuff! Woooo! Yeah! Ok, let's launch this thing. The trajectory it follows: (Pe=190,000K) And the craft from the side:
  5. Heeeeeeeeeeelllllllllppppppppppppp My rockets have recently started rotating, in timewarp, mind you, and it's not pretty. I can't go anywhere, they decay my orbits. It hurts. Then I noticed something else. I went on EVA, and it's all fine and dandy, (in orbit) then WOOSH OFF HE GOES in the opposite direction at 1km/s. It is driving me insane. I think it's a mod I have? I can't be sure, but this is what I have: If you know, please help.
  6. I have this mod. It's by those guys with the KSC++ thing. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39086055/SXTTrucks.zip P.S. Do you know the mod that adds trees and rocks?
  7. 1. It depends on your attack angle and speed. Eve's atmo is thicker, so if your Pe. was at 40, and you came in at 2,000m/s, you at least wouldn't spontaneously decombust. 2. It is so unbelievably possible to do this. They did put Curiosity in Gale Crater. Hold on, let me dig up a pdf or something on how to do this. If I can't find it, keep in mind KSP is a simulation... quicksaves and nodes, just a lot of trial and error, you'll be fine. If you go slower, the planet will rotate more. Keep that in mind. 3. Rockets on the sides and more parachutes than you'd like to see. 4. That's not really a question... but it seems like a cool idea. (do you have the craft files still?)
  8. Pelrick 7-10: Testing Surface Landers A Critical piece of colonies is surface landers. They are what gets people to the surface. Here are a couple designs. Delrus Maltrop Claims that the Maltrop Lander is really just the stock Super-Heavy Lander are mildly exaggerated.
  9. It's 1000% stock. (Maybe 1 piece from Hullcam, that's IT.)
  10. Pelrick 2 through 6: Making a fuel depot in orbit Orbiting at 250K, this small station is for the main usage of refueling the outbound spacecraft in orbit. Pelrick 2: Stock Station Core Pelrick 3: Lab Module Pelrick 4: Fuel Tank Pelrick 5: CSM Pelrick 6: Space Ferry And a side-view:
  11. The Paleva Tylo colonization missions are self explanatory. There purpose is to colonize Tylo. Get the full save and craft set! (When it's finished) There are 5 subsets: 1. Pelrick 2. Linlo 3. Selvus 4. Nulvail 5. Delphi Let's begin with the very first mission. Pelrick-1: Testing Exoplanetary Rockets It was to see how far a rocket like this could go. It was very preliminary, and the craft returned as soon as it could.
  12. Hack gravity, warp, unhack, unwarp, rehack. You'll get even less gravity. It works backwards too. (Was it supposed to be fake?)
  13. Ducks' brain waves are the same a human's.
  14. I can't call the waiter, he's sitting in my soup.
  15. <html><head><title><h1>Website</h1></title> </head> <body><p><h2>Hello. This is a basic page test</h2></p> </body> </html> These are website tags, but I can't remember what for.
  16. Granted, but it's only stable on Minmus. Anywhere else it's less stable than before. I wish my computer was a supercomputer.
  17. If you test your rockets in the demo (or any early) version your in-game experience will multiply x10.
  18. It increases the part tenacity so they require more force to be destroyed. However it's feeble on its own and pairs well with the Hack Gravity option.
  19. You can blow up parts this way. If you heat up something, then go to the center, timewarp, and go back, it'll have cooled down.
  20. I am screaming inside, it's like a kid minutes before christmas Oh my god jet engines Oh dear kerbal those small ore tanks Wowee! Real life cargo ramps! Yaaaayyyyy!!!!! GOOD GOD WE HAVE SPACE SHUTTLE ENGINES https://youtu.be/p5fOaBnlT2E?t=1m5s
  21. Are there only 6 official kerbals? Geez, it seems like there'd be more...
