  1. Looks like a lot of fun to plan and design for. You get this mission with a "do NOT use ISRU" clause if you play on Scott Manly Hard Mode. Either way would be a fun read through with lots of pics.
  2. http://www.upaerospace.com/ Apparently stands for Unlimited Possibilities. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UP_Aerospace
  3. Kerbal Community, Best Community! Thanks for offering your assistance Chris. Googling your presentations now.
  4. Outstanding! Not sure the "how's" or "why's" on this one, but I don't care one bit. If it's finalized and the money shows up, it's terrific news all around. A surface photograph from Europa is gonna be so sweet!!
  5. Very cool. I like building really small probes to get the most bang for my buck out of contracts in career and this will help keep everything tucked inside. Thanks you!
  6. I'm still floating around in the home system, haven't gotten away from the Mun and Mimus in this save, but I see this being super useful someday for me. Thanks for making this JPL and Merlin!
  7. Always the best DMagic! Thank you for the new goodies and your hard work.
  8. STOP IT!!! I haven't finished the first page of stuff in Kerbals that I want to do, and you keep adding more stuff to the end of the list!! Now I want a Kerbal Colony ship made out of this. Ok, I'm better now. Ahem. Thank you.
  9. That's such a sad thing to hear. I wonder if there is a certain point below which their aerospace industry simply cannot continue to do what it does best. I wonder as well if that will be a situation that is recoverable in the long run, if ever.
  10. I don't have the educational background to follow everything that's going on here, but I can say that I'm hopeful for the future of things in this field of study. It seems like there is a great deal at stake and the potential benefits of success look enormous. Thank you for the links and the discussion. I'm learning a lot here.
  11. Today I learned that I suck, and hard mode, is, well,...hard. Valentina went to the Mun on my first landing mission there, only to run out of fuel in orbit of the Mun. Sent Bill and a newbie up to retrieve her and all that sweet, sweet science and after a ridiculously difficult meet up, the three of them returned to Kerbin orbit. All was well on reentry until the craft ran out of electricity at about 17k meters. A quick wobble, twist and a turn later and I have a giant puff of smoke and fire where the craft used to be. I've never felt so shocked while playing a video game before,..utter heartbreak. Back too the drawing board with Bob as the only remaining orange suit. Did I mention hard mode is hard and that I suck at this game? I LOVE IT!!
  12. The whole thing is gorgeous, but the IVA in particular is something to behold. Well done.
  13. It's kinda interesting you mention ion and basic jet powered rovers, as I was just fiddling with a similar idea last night. I don't have rover wheels in my current career and was trying to figure out how to get a rover fit with airplane wheels. The results were ugly as heck. That's not unexpected for my design though lol.
  14. I played EVE: Online for two years solid, was active in the game and community, and tripped over KSP one day. Two weeks later I left EVE and have played pretty much nothing but KSP since. Hasn't been two years yet, but I haven't even begun to touch what this game has to offer, and I hope you find as much enjoyment out of it as I have. Welcome to the club!
  15. Just wanted to say 'thank you' for the tremendous effort and amazing talents you invested in this mod. You're an asset to the Kerbal Kommunity :-)
  16. Looks great man. Always liked the ME-262, would have loved to have a recording of the first time it did a fly by of an Allied bomber,....they must have gone nuts when it whizzed by.
  17. I really like this one. I've been fiddling with VTOLs for about a week now and it's nice to see one make it in to this advanced state. Good stuff man!
  18. If its an atmosphereless planet, I guess that means no reentry heating, so something like a command chair would work for the pilot, then just work very small and narrow from there. Tweakscale would be a mod that would lend itself in this respect. Mk2 bays are tough, but I think it would be doable.
  19. Very, very cool man! You did a great job with this one.
  20. Very nice! Loved KAS and I'm sure this will be even better! Thanks guys!
  21. I second this. Your ScanSat mod is a game changer for me in a good way and I really appreciate the work you put in too it. Thank you!
  22. Just finishing up my Duna and return of 2 Kerbals mission, was alot of fun. I enjoyed your pictures and comments on your trip as well. Well done!
