Ker-Man's Sky; Unacceptable Disappointment Saturnian B. Kerman, Kerbal Chronicles The first universe simulator of it's kind, Ker-man's Sky, the most anticipated simulator of the year, has been a big disappointment. Even though in-game footage portraying a "photorealistic" version of the city Kirrim-Central was teased, players have complained that they found planets made of cheese and Kelgian Choke-olat that were "10X bigger than expected" (in fact, the footage of Kirrim-Central is now believed to be actual video footage of the city). The lead developer, Shaww Moray, has not yet published a statement, and the only "official" statement has been from a store clerk at a bankrupt GameMove who said "Bigger planets with cheese and stuff? Sounds good." We have been unable to reach him via K-Pad, potentially due to the fact that the Legion of Vechtenarians may have abducted him. Even stranger is a bug report (yet to be replied to) that has detailed a strange world about 6370 km in radius with bizarre beings approximately 2 meters tall who were either incredibly hostile, curious, or attempted to exploit the players. The most interesting of critics was Wernher von Kerman, who pointed out that the warp drives depicted in the simulator are impossible in the real universe, where the Great Kraken is rumored to propel a kerbal at higher speeds, though unpredictably. "It's not rocket science", he proclaimed, though the irony of this statement was pointed out extensively. The most unusual of criticisms came from players who believe the Monolith has magical powers, and were thus disappointed when they simply learned the word "Snack" in "ArFF!K-9 Speak" when they encountered the various Monoliths in the game. Updates are on the way, though many expect these updates to be the "Ker-Man's Sky of updates".

Actually I haven't actually tested the explosive powers of the KIS explosives involving KSC buildings yet... The KIS explosive was simply rather conveniently sized for "filming" purposes. The nuclear warheads are from the mod North Kerbin Dynamics. In other news, I somewhat fear that I may not be able to exactly demonstrate a potential destruction of the asteroid—1.2.0 freezes when I encounter it, and 1.0.5 (the one where I can actually use Kerbpaint) seems quite broken, with the game refusing to load the 1.2.0 version that I've been using recently, and any rockets that reach ~10 kilometers flip out of control and the camera stops following the ship.

I tested a plane that is somewhat based off a Stuka Ju 87. It's bomb carrying version is quite capable of destroying tanks (mine at least, though i'm not sure how good they are), though it needs to drop the full load. I've now equipped it with a 30MM cannon and it is very good at destroying tanks (though the current ammunition load can only allow it to destroy so much). The target Completely destroyed! That said, this tank may quite possibly have many flaws allowing for a relatively easy destruction (though the plane can certainly get shot down). In other news, I used Kerbal Animation Suite for the first time in a while for my most recent graphic novel episode (sadly the mod still is a bit hard to use in my opinion).

[SHOWCASE] Show off your ships/naval vessels!
SaturnianBlue replied to THE NARWHAL's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I've made a large amount of warships, mainly replicas. My first was a PT Boat, that made by Higgins Industries. It was fairly high part count, and I made multiple versions of it. It featured a detailed interior (though it was a bit messy on the inside). My next creation was an even higher part Admiralty M Destroyer, the class that served in WWI. After that are even bigger ships—the four ships participating in the Battle of the Denmark Strait. While I wanted to be able to recreate the battle (and many people helped out), a combination of kerbpaint failing and a replica of the Prince of Wales that wouldn't really float the right way (and was incompatible) has left it in limbo. Nevertheless, the replicas were done (though Prince of Wales isn't released). The Prinz Eugen, the heavy cruiser. The Bismarck, in this case it's paint job in Norway. And of course, the HMS Hood. (although this isn't the full version, but you can see that in gif form (but it doesn't work here). The HMS Prince of Wales. Lastly is the Kormoran Vs Sydney project, which, like the Denmark Strait, was a big project. Thankfully I was able to recreate the battle, (the part count was lower for this, but still very high). Here's the video of that. -
I've drafted the script for the next episode. The next episode for one thing, will include the launch of the new Asteroid Destroyer "Mark 3" design. The episodes of Series 8 will probably be shorter (I'm finding it a bit hard to put in content for such long episodes..). Here's a picture of the whole rocket stack fully assembled, ready to launch.

Is Kerbal society global, or made up of nations?
SaturnianBlue replied to Tex's topic in KSP1 Discussion
As far as The Asteroid Sentinels are concerned, it's probably quite unified, but I wouldn't describe my Kerbals as exactly peaceful... Kerbin is unified under the "Kerbal Union" but it's formation is quite recent, being a mere few decades ago, before that the planet was somewhat divided territorially. There are still divides culturally and in language, which explains the tendency for a certain Wernher to speak and occasionally insert a word of his native dialect. My kerbals are also quite peaceful, but of course the events in The Asteroid Sentinels has revealed a dark side to Kerbal nature... -
A Thread for Writers to talk about Writing
SaturnianBlue replied to Mister Dilsby's topic in KSP Fan Works
I've found some things i'm not sure about/unsatisfied about in The Asteroid Sentinels; the first problem is that I sort of have an idea for beginning Series 8, and of course the ending, but I don't know what to do in between. I feel like it would be somewhat abrupt and improper to just cut to the end from the beginning either. On character development/building/anything that has to do with characters: I kind of want feedback on how that has been going in the most recent episodes, because I feel it's decent but I feel like it could do with some more work... Except I don't know what that is, so It would be nice to know what that thing may be. -
The Series Seven finale is here! Seeing as this series has lasted for just this long, it is a good time to close this chapter and start with a new one. It is perhaps a more quiet ending, and I hope you will enjoy! Thanks for reading; provide me with all sorts of feedback—it's quite motivating and useful to have! I'm especially interested in what you have to say about the characters.
