  1. Since AMD has poor support for linux, I stick with NVidia.
  2. Instead of landing on every biome on Mun and getting back to Kerbin, I created a self-sustained lander that grabs the remaining science from Mun and transfers it to an orbital research station. The command module, tank, legs and fuel tank are from the AIES Aerospace pack. Lovely mod.
  3. Sent my satellite relay to Duna. Note how they each have connection to each other on their journey.
  4. I stopped bothering with keosynchronous orbits and made a network with many kolniya orbits.
  5. I got fed up with hyperediting geostationary satellites. Instead I put up a relay with highly eccentric orbits, a bit random but *something* always is above KSC. 99% coverage and I don't have to touch those satellites ever again!

  8. After maxing out the science tree in my first career game very easy and having no real achievement with all the mods installed, I started a new hardcore career game. Having fun with RemoteTech and DMagic science.

  10. I only have only one geostationary satellite with long range dishes and it works fine. I used to send satellites to my destinations too but now I build a command ship with 6 kerbals and make sure it has LoS. Though I used hyperedit to make it properly geostationary after putting them into an approximate orbit.
  11. So I noticed some mods, those that add buttons to toolbars cause stutter. I played 2 months with horrible FPS and told myself I have to live with it. By chance I removed the wider contracts mod and installed Contracts Window+, my FPS skyrocketed! I've installed all kind of fluff like Astronomers Pack etc, my FPS was still high. Then I installed AmpYear Power, I noticed some FPS drop again, but not that bad, I can still play fine. Any ideas what can cause this?
  12. I like your mod, but those tiny ion engines seem a bit broken. They use like 3 electric charge per second and give 80 thrust with an ISP of 5500 VAC. I slapped a pack of four on some crafts instead atomic engines and the delta-v doubled and tripled.
  13. Yep, I've copied the KSP folder and play without Steam. CKAN can export the mods you are using to a file. In a couple of weeks when all mods are updated to 1.0.4 I make another copy and let CKAN do ist magic. If everything fails, I can still play 1.0.2.

  15. Watched the trailer. As kid I always asked myself what would happen if MacGyver had been an austronaut. 20 years later I know! Give Watney a ***** swiss army knife and duct tape!
  16. Holy crap. Why was I bothering with upper stages and reentry? When I get home I'll just build a rocket with a seat on top and hohman it to Minmus, grab a surface sample and EVA home. :confused::confused:
  17. Of course there are and I steal take a lot inspiration from those craft files, but for me its more fun to build stuff myself.
  18. I got frustrated with Mk3 cargo spaceplanes so I built a simple, ugly heavy lifter with barely enough fuel. Touches down with 10 m/s but works. Uses RealChtue.
  19. I now get my SSTO fine into orbit with enough fuel but I can't get the CoM right. The plane always wants to point up. 2015-05-27_00016
