  1. Thanks to Cortharis and my own edits to the visual side, we have a DeltaV map for GPO! Currently at the largest deltaV map for one singular mod, I am proud to present to you first the online version AND a version which you can print out on A4 or A3! Click the images for FULL SIZE images.
  2. It should be. A note. With research bodies, all atmospheric planets will look shiny. This is because the author of RB messes with the textures of the planets to "hide" them in the map view. If you don't want them to look shiny and yucky, delete ProgressiveCBMaps from the REPOSoftTech folder.
  3. Alright, for those who were using spacedock, the install instructions have changed. CKAN support is still on going, and I'll list the things that need to be sorted out below. But for those who use Spacedock, I have relinked the SD site to Github. The install is a bit more longwinded, but everything is still there. Things that still need to be sorted: Move CKAN download location to Github Set Sigma SkyBox as dependency Set Galileo's Planet Pack as "confliction"
  4. Uhhh I'll check that when I get home... Maybe I cancelled the update by accident? I swear it updated.
  5. Um It should be up to date from the spacedock download?
  6. It's a "AboutThis" text file in the textures folder. It's been there for ages now and I didn't want to just get rid of it Anyhow I have submitted another pull request to GPO.netkan to hopefully move it over to github. I've also added a version file so that I don't have to specify a new download link each time. As well as that, i've added SigmaReplacements-Skybox as a dependency as GPO utilises it now
  7. Definitely not from a totally UNbiased point of view!
  8. It's been so long since I put it there I forgot and just assumed sigma was doing a sigma! I opened the file today and I was like WHOA WAIT and saw your reply.
  9. Hey all! New fancy GPO trailer is out featuring non other than the Veronica ship itself. Give it a watch!
  10. Download off spacedock and install as normal. Things have been quite chaotic recently, I apologise
  11. Right. Cheers for that. I suppose in the future we can change that to github, hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for the help. (Still worth noting that i can't edit me own file... )
  12. This file upload will take around another 15 minutes. If it is within reason, I would like to prioritise the Github release for the time being - I don't think it's too hard to change (I may be wrong...) I like how GPP handles installation, and it appears to be the best way to do it. Again, sorry for suddenly going back on myself; it's been a long day. I promise not to cause so much of a hassle in the future.
  13. Awesome. That's what is on the Github, too. Just the GPO folder, i heard that I could put a .Netkan or .Version file along with that release? I may do that in a future release of this mod, if it's possible. Assuming everything checks alright with you (as from what I can see, it looks good!), I think it's ready
  14. I'm uploading the new release to SpaceDock now. I'll ping you again when it's done! I assume that CKAN will only take the folders that it is told to, and will not install the entire ZIP as a manual user would? Just making sure. I am often told that bundling mods can end up poorly, but github (once i get the hang of it, at least) will allow me to update configs and fix bugs more easily than reuploading the entire mod - similarly to why other modders prefer Github over Spacedock. It also means that I can support more mods without bundling, especially if they have strict licences which do not allow me to bundle them (as I would in a Spacedock download). However if it inconveniences you, I can still use SD.
  15. Awesome! For the moment i've dropped "Screamer" out of the release. I see that this would have to be changed in the file again, my apologies for that. It was causing some confusion, but now with CKAN there isn't much need for it (as GPO and GPP conflict). My timing is quite poor, as this is happening as I move from SpaceDock to github. I don't imagine that there have to be any major changes to the .Netkan, though. I've uploaded GPO to this github with a prerelease so that we can test whether these changes will work! https://github.com/Gameslinx/Gameslinx-Planet-Overhaul/releases/tag/v3.2-pre Thank you for your time helping me with this issue. It's appreciated that we're cleaning up my mess-ups
  16. Yes. I've ported the GPO folder to Github and i'm waiting on confirmation from TWG that I can either bundle his mods in that github download OR he lists them on ckan.
  17. YOU ARE THE FIRST PERSON TO FIND THAT EASTER EGG Gosh it's been over a year and nobody had found it until then. Nice lol
  18. Hey all, some backend changes are coming to GPO. Unfortunately I have to get rid of the ease-of-bundling method that I use to get GPO on ckan and improve its modularity. I'm setting up a github for GPO with all the hotlinks to download all its dependencies. Mods that GPO uses that are not on CKAN will be bundled in the ckan download. I'm afraid that although i prefer the old method of bundling everything, it has to go. Installation instructions will be provided and if you install this mod manually, they will be relatively extensive and clear.
  19. I'm doing some folder restructuring at the moment, and i'll make relevant changes to the github request in good time. I've switched from TextureReplacer to SigmaReplacements as it has ModuleManager support. If I added the current method to ckan, my skybox textures would be lost. Thanks!
  20. Right. I'll sort that and release another hotfix. Does that mean everything else is alright and working? The goal is that because KS3P, Instantiator and LoadingScreens are not on Ckan, I added instructions to install them to GameData. I can't speak on their behalf, but I imagine they don't want to go through this effort to get their mods on Ckan either. I'll sort out the folder that LoadingScreens is in and I'll ping you here when it is.
  21. I used to use real ones, but I've found other better methods of doing this and achieving better effects. Ksp's terrain system doesn't really like overly detailed or high contrast heightmap as they can cause terrain pixellation. This is overcome by using a slightly less noisy heightmap and adding the extra detail with noisemods in the config. I'm definitely sticking to Photoshop and Np++. Paint is a horrible program to use and the entire video was just to show how even with terrible tools you can make good planets. Fly safely.
  22. Make a backup of your save. A mate of mine was transferring from stock to GPO and only 1 craft got negatively affected. As for planets orbiting around nothing... Could I have a screenshot? Ckan is still broken at the moment as it does not include Instantiator or KS3P for the pretty accretion disks and post processing effects - I still recommend a manual install however I have (hopefully) working Ckan code waiting to be approved. So... Yeah there's that too
  23. GPO Hotfixed inbound. Currently updating. - Fixed Nievis colourmap texture at north pole
  24. Check Scorch, Sonus, Butai, Gaia and Niebos in GPO Check Wasteland and possibly Valiant in After Kerbin Check Eden in Before Kerbin I agree with the rest of your points, terrain is squad's weak point here.
