  1. Zoom out until it's barely visible, then click the middle mouse button and drag your camera to offset it. Or, send me the screenshot and i'll photoshop the craft out.
  2. I do this myself I might do some optimisations for Gaia's volumetric clouds. It appears they're loaded on the CPU and not the graphics card, meaning the game will take a huge dump. I'm using an i7 4790k and a GeForcr GTX 1080, and if EVE was loaded on the GPU, nearly everyone with a medium-spec PC would be able to run it. Main point is I'll be doing some stuff to help with the lag because I have to play without EVE for larger crafts too.
  3. This is a known bug that reducing the texture quality will mean the terrain looks worse and less sharp, causing the KSC to be swallowed slightly. Just keep your texture quality high enough so this doesn't happen. To improve your fps, you can either remove Environmental Visual Enhancements from your Gamedata, or do this (to keep the clouds, but have them not volumetric): Press Alt + 0 in game. Press the left arrow at the top twice until it says 'Cloud Manager'. Then use the lower arrows to find Gaia's cloud (not aurora!) Config. For each cloud layer (there's three I believe) scroll down and turn off Layer Volume. Then click apply and save. Restart the game after that and your performance should improve. I'll try and reduce the runway swallowing in the future.
  4. Hey all! I will be adding compatibility with @linuxgurugamer's amazing mod Loading Screen Manager very shortly, but we need some amazing screenshots of different planets to go with it! I'm looking for some very good quality pictures which are wallpaper material - such as the one on the mod post. Please make sure the resolution is 1920 x 1080 or 16:9, and that your craft is not included unless it is a surface shot. Thanks guys! You can get your pictures on the loading screen if they are amazing!
  5. This is why I looked for an excuse to replace the Mun in my own mod
  6. I've realised the whole Kerbnet shenanigan is down to Kopernicus. I mentioned @Sigma88 a while back and he said it's something to do with how it handles displayName in 1.3. I'm waiting on a fix because kerbnet is a serious issue! I can't do anything about this, sorry In stock KSP I am getting a connection.
  7. Penumbra multiplier is how soft the shadow is on the rings. The higher the number, the sharper the edges of the shadow. Unlit is just a unity shader. For the ringed planet, go yo Gamedata > Olei > Textures. Find 'NiebosRing'. That's how you get the green
  8. Thank you i'll load it up at some point this week and check it out!
  9. So which one will save RAM? With LOD enabled or disabled? With some, I have to turn LOD off because scatterer hates it
  10. Gamedata > Olei-Gaia > GPO_Scatterer.cfg turns off LoD for a few planets. Is that what you mean?
  11. Whhoooeehhy I was trying to figure out why KerbNet isn't working and I completely forgot about choosing a star, eek! I'd kind of like a subtle blue-white star (I'm useless with star classes please forgive me) , which I believe is an A1 class? For the name, would it be possible to have "Azure" to go with the blue-ish colour? I've probably missed something from the pm but I'll take a look and edit if I have. Also, will GN check if my planet mod is installed and will place planets around the star, or do you have to download each update I push out? (Hopefully the former)
  12. I think remote tech should work normally? I'll look into it as I have a weekend to spare. If you could give it a go, sure thing. I cannot remember the bug, sorry! I got bogged down with updating to 1.3 and fixing planet related issues. Please note that scanning planets does not work at the moment because of a Kopernicus issue. I cannot fix this because I am not the developer of Kopernicus - we're all suffering together!
  13. Yes it does. Trouble is, nobody with a Mac or linux PC will actually test it for me
  14. Well whilst we wait for KE to respond I'll give you a quick run down of Galilalilalileo said to me. If you have a folder named PluginData, rename it to anything else. I just name mine 'Textures'. You'll need to update every file path but in Notepad++ it is simple. Apparently KSP sees PluginData and will load the assets within it faster (using some sort of voodoo, I don't know the technicalities). Loading the mod will take slightly longer by around 5-10 seconds to load, but it means macs and linuxes can run the pack. I think the file paths are Case-Sensitive too, meaning if you have a planet map called "Suthe_Color" and the config asks for "Suthe/Textures/suthe_COLOR", Linux and Mac will not find them and the planet will not load. Hope this helps
  15. Unfortunately it is because you run on a Mac. If you loaded up the latest version of my pack for 1.3 again, it should hopefully work. If it does, I'll tell @Tynton how to get Mac and Linux compatibility.
  16. Hey all! Just slapped together a video for testing my new editing software for YouTube, but since I was using the mod I might as well post it here. The footage isn't that good and it certainly isn't a trailer (for its immensely low effort )
  17. Ehhuhhh.... @Translator:FOR[help] { Translating in Progress: Hello. I have a question. [Cannot interpret] ... There is no karbonite around the atmosphere of some planets. Normally, this is the case. There is also no Karbonite or resources found in the seas of atmospheric planets. Even the sun has no Karborundum } I'm... really sorry I don't exactly understand what you are trying to say. But I'll answer based on the text above ^^: @JadeOfMaar has been spending some time writing resource configurations for the planets, and Karbonite is one of them. You can find Karbonite on: Scorch, Sonus, Niebos, Dreidos, Butai, Olu'um, Telos, Volux and Fume. The locations of Karbonundum will not be disclosed as it is a valuable resource which you must locate yourself. if you have the time to elaborate on your question, please do! I'm not able to understand what you're exactly trying to say.
  18. Go to Kerbal Space Program > saves > (SAVE NAME) > Backup. Rename the most recent file in there to 'Persistent', then overwrite the existing Persistent in your SAVENAME folder.
  19. Nah, the pack isn't well known enough for anyone to have made that. I search for phrases containing the mod name to see when someone mentions it. Like Galileo said - ignore it and move on is the best way to deal with it
  20. I sent the Kopernicus guys a message on the IRC and apparently it's because Kopernicus doesn't set displayName s for biomes. This should be fixed in the next kopernicus release, so somebody kick me when that's out
  21. You either didn't install properly or downloaded the wrong version. You need version 2.2. Could you send me a screenshot of GameData if you're still experiencing issues? Refer to the installation instructions. To avoid spam, I will try and include all the info here. Remove all aspects of the mod (Olei and Olei-Gaia, Kopernicus and MFI especially) first. To install this mod, download the mod from the link provided. After that, unzip the folder and browse to your gamedata folder. Drag and drop all 12 files and folders from the mod to Gamedata.
