  1. I would ask what the hold up is but I'm sure they have a plan to release the prerelease today
  2. That's worse than reviving the old devnotes to make it look like new ones had been posted. Also, what's up with the "It's happening" posts? Nothing has happened yet.
  3. Oh my god guys. I left for like 30 minutes, came back, and there were 155 new replies. I clicked the "load first 155 posts" button AND MY BROWSER CRASHED. GG.
  4. I have 4 tabs open. One for YouTube, one for this thread, one for the KSP forum home page (to check if there's a new announcement/post in the Daily Kerbal), and the SteamDB KSP page.
  5. I wish they would give us something, even just a tweet saying "hey guys we're not dead, we're actually working our asses off to get the prerelease out today/tomorrow/this century" Gonna play some TF2 seeing as it loves to eat up hours of my time without me knowing (so far it's eaten nearly 2800)
  6. @FirstSecondThird I wouldn't be surprised at all if the prerelease isn't coming for another few days and the devnotes are essentially "we're still headed for a prerelease SoonTM"
  7. Inb4 no devnotes no announcement just a single post by harvestr saying "you just got prank'd" Then the entire forum shuts down and KSP ends development and I need to stop
  8. I think they're just leaning back in their chairs waiting to post devnotes, pre-release announcement, and the pre-release discussion board all at once. I really wish they would go ahead and make a "what to expect" announcement that highlights some of the more frustrating bugs and what you have to do to report new ones. Then a few hours later they could open the pre-release itself.
  9. So Sci-Fi isn't part of this list? Even then, it's worth mentioning Stephen Baxter's NASA trilogy. They contain a very good dose of actual science. (I've been fanboy-ing over them for months now, they are really really good)
  10. BTW the devnotes are pretty much guaranteed to say the usual "we're getting there, closing stuff up, etc." Not saying that's a bad thing, stuff could pop up at the last second. Either that or: "zomg pre-release is totally here guis" (Note: this is hypothetical I'm not actually saying that it's here or will be here today)
  11. Why the sudden burst of hype in the last hour? An announcement I missed?
  12. I didn't see any of the suspect streams, I'm saying it's possible assuming people streaming aren't in the media group.
  13. I fear somebody may have leaked a beta build if there's just random people streaming it. (Not saying this is what happened, just speculation)
  14. Pre-release isn't out yet, it's just the media group that got their hands on experimental builds. The pre-release is stated to last two weeks. I assume any bugs not found or not fixed by the end of the two weeks will be carried over to 1.1.
  15. I was gonna make a thread like this. In the first one the plane goes into a flat spin, while trying to recover the engine dies (no starter!) He recovers at about 700 ft AGL and manages a dead stick landing. Hits a fence on the way down, he was fine but upside down when the recovery team found him. Another amazing piece of piloting. The guy shuts off his engine (again, no starter) and lands back at his field going the wrong way just so he can get to the fuel pumps without re-starting. (There's some mild language as he comes to a stop 50 ft short of the aforementioned fuel pump)
  16. Upper stages are essentially independant spacecraft that just happen to hold lots of fuel and an engine. They usually have many hours of power/RCS prop. reserved for waiting in a parking orbit or for payload separation. The problem, as you probably know, is re-starting and actually having fuel left over for the burn.
